I was watching live tv. I then tried to change the channel when going through the mini guide and nothing happened. It just froze and windows 7 let me know the program was not responding so I closed NPVR.
Hi I'm new to this I have the latest NPVR 2.4.3 installed and upgraded to NEWA 1.25 everything works well within my network. Problem a rises when I try to connect to NEWA from out side my network. Firstly how do I do it? What are the settings for connecting externally? I know what my external IP address is and what my internal IP adresss is do I simply put the two together? eg http://external ip/internal ip:8866/guide.aspx

It would be nice to have a "Find All" for Recurring Recordings to quickly see upcoming episodes rather than having to scan through the Pending Recordings list trying to locate episodes.
I picked up a noname 7" Android tablet (Coby) last week when they went on sale at Fry's for $99, just to play around with. It has pretty amazing video playback capabilities... the only thing it couldn't play is dvr-ms, but everything else: avi mkv ts mp4 no problem. 1080i/HDMI out too... the thing has an ARM processor along with a GPU for video! Also saw that VIA is bringing out an Android "motherboard" (half the size of a mini ITX) for use with mouse and keyboard for $49, with similar capabilities. When I think back on the struggle I had to get the right combination of decoders for gbpvr.... .
One of my clients occasionally takes as long as 20s to load NPVR (from launching the EXE until I see the NPVR main menu). It only seems to occur after I wake it from sleep but it doesn't consistently happen. My other client doesn't seem to have this problem even though it is almost the exact same system. I have attached the log file but I don't see anything in there to explain it. Any ideas? Thanks.

What do they mean, and why don't the times given correspond to real time?
1. Have web interface to control extenders and clients, and schedule recordings, delete them, resolve conflicts, start conversion of videos.
2. Resume Playing a video at the place it was stopped at.
3. Allow you to send the current playing video on client/Extender A to start playing on client/Extender B, and stop on client/Extender A, so you can watch tv as you move from room to room.
I have a Hauppauge 5500 card which is capable of receiving analogue signals as well as digital. Today I noticed that if I have a recording running on an analogue channel and either I try to access another channel through NPVR or (what actually happened) a forgotten recurring recording tries to grab a channel during the analogue recording; the latter fails but the analogue recording continues with a scrambled video (sound is ok but the image is completely distorted). Not sure if this is caused by NPVR or by the Hauppauge drivers; but any idea how this can be avoided? Trying the same when recording from a digital channel does not reproduce the issue; so only analogue recording is impacted.
Does the Hauppaugue MediaMVP-HD work as an extender for use with the dongle and NPVR? I checked first the Wiki and browsed through several threads, but I finally decided to ask the question straight out. Apologies if I missed the answer somewhere!
