I've finally got Mencoder working to transcode TS to AVI and clean commercials.
I use these files on my phone, they're only about 325mb(1hr show),480x320 and +10db on the audio.
But if I get 2 or more instances of Mencoder running with other stuff happening, well the results are not nice.
So I'd like to create a queue file of all recordings(24hrs) and then get Mencoder to knock'em off ONE AT A TIME.
Any ideas on how to to this?
The Panel View option under Manage has suddenly become corrupted (see screen shot). Nothing appears to be clickable. Same result on different browsers and different machines and different platforms (OSX & Win7). Not sure what was done to cause this, not sure how to rectify it.
I get the message below, suggesting android is seeing something to do with gbpvr, but just not quite talking. (Note, yes i am still using gpbvr not nextpvr, but i dont expect that is the issue.)
There seems to be a tendency that I get a "rollback" every now and then through these devices.
What I mean is that a segment on LiveTV gets stuck and reverts back to where I started and then gets into a loop!?
I think I am right to post this as a new issue BUT I did see some stuff about looping on another thread.
To dig it down I can provide a whole day of NextPVR logs that may be tiresome to go through. Or begin to delve into the problem more and provide more concise logs!

Multiple recording folders, selectable when setting up a scheduled recording
This is the one feature that keeps me using BeyondTV. We have multiple folders defined in BTV: KIDS, MOVIES, folders for shows my wife watches, shows that I watch... The kids by default go straight to the KIDS folder, and our content is well organized. When setting up a scheduled recording, we select the appropriate folder and when watching we never have to dig through a long list of recordings and shows to find the ones we want. This capability is quite a powerful organizational tool. WMC doesn't have this capability either.
Using C# classes 'Channel' and 'EPGEvent', is there a(n easy) way to detect whether the channel is a radio channel or a TV channel through the provided DLLs? I have a C# class that browses through a Dictionary<Channel, List<EPGEvent> list and would like to filter out all radio channels? I failed to see a 'typeOfService' member in either of the aforementioned classes (where I would expect a value '02' standing for digital radio). What comes close is the member "channel.GetChannelMapping(<captureSourceOID>).serviceType, but I am not sure this is the correct member nor do I know what to specify as <captureSourceOID>.
Does anybody has some advise on how this could be done?
Hello, I have NPVR set up on a Win7 testbed and it works fine. But I really want to run it on my main server which is WHSv1, so I installed it yesterday and went through the configuration. Device config seemed to go okay with the HDHR Prime, and I configured it to use what appears to be the proper tuner selection since each of the Prime's tuners are listed 3 times.
But, I get nothing when I watch live TV, and recordings act like they are missing lots of packets. I was able to see enough to tell that it was the right channel. It looks like what you get with poor signal quality, but I know that's not it.
With the Silicondust QuickTV program I can watch all the channels just fine. Also, I've been using my HDHR Prime with the Win7 setup so I know the cable connection is good. I've turned off Windows Firewall so that's not it.
The other piece of the puzzle is that I already run Beyond TV on this same computer. I really only intend to use NPVR to do recordings for now, and use BTV to watch everything with. BTV uses my two other HDHomeRun's, and interestingly enough they both acted up tonight but not immediately. NPVR was idle, and one HDHR quit responding. When I cycled the power, the other HDHR quit responding. So there may be some funky interaction going on among the HDHR units, but last night BTV worked just fine.
I don't see any errors in the log file, it just looks like things went normally.
I would like to be able to set a recording path per tuner. My current box has 5 tuners and I use all 5, so having a dedicated path per tuner would work great(ie 5 hard drives as I am using now) or being able to add the 5 paths and tell the system to load balance so it selects whichever path is not in use for a recording.
