I just upgraded to 2.4.3 and found TreeView no longer works on the Advanced Search screen. I search, get the results in a Table view mode, click the Tree View radio button and then get a "Problem loading page" error. I then upgraded NEWA to the 1.25 release and applied the patches and tried it again, same result. I tried it with both FireFox, IE 9 and my phone - all fail.
By the way, is there anyway to default the results to TreeView output? If not, could this be configurable or at least selectable from the Search screen *before* clicking the Search button? I often use a search that shows me all the upcoming movie channels listings for the next two weeks and with lots of search results, the table format is impractical. The Treeview is perfect since it aggregates all the showings of a movie into one entry and all the times lists below it, making it much easier to sort through the results and pick the movies I want to record.
Newbie here, since the changeover I am unable to get any channels from the Guildford antenna with GB-PVR, which I was perfectly happy with. So I thought I would try NPVR but have the same issue.
I've tried tuning in all areas but this just gives me channels with very poor reception from Hannington (I believe) is there any reason why I am now unable to receive from Guildford.
I got a call at work from HWSBO (He Who Shall Be Obeyed) that the web guide only displayed guide data through channel 108. (We get channels through 720-some on DirecTV US.) He was on a local IP at home; I replicated the problem at work through an external IP. Everything worked 2 days ago when I scheduled a couple other recordings.
I made one change to my Schedules Direct channel line-up since, when E! went HD (channel 236), otherwise no changes. I also did the update to NEWA 1.25 (with the two update patches I found posted) when I got home to see if it would display the full guide, but there is no change.
All of my channels display in the NPVR channel line-up and guide. This happens in both the CSS and "classic" views. I scheduled & recorded "Deadliest Catch" on Discovery HD channel 278 tonight for The Man through the Episode Search function, so the search works for shows in the EPG that aren't displayed in the web interface. I'm still running NPVR 2.36. (As always, let me know what other info you need; full logs are attached, I hope!)
Sub - I noticed you are in Wellington, NZ, and thought I'd post here. We are planning a trip to Australia in late June/early July, and our return flight is out of Auckland, so we figured on spending a few days at the end of our trip in New Zealand. Any suggestions on places to go/things to do?
Anyone else with suggestions are welcome to chip in, too.
Oh, "we" would be the wife and I, 20-year-old son, and 15-year-old daughter.
dxdiag says all is OK with the video card, but I can't find a decoder that works. Black screen all round.
Using EVR. My MPEG2 options are:
ffdshow
Microsoft DTV-DVD Video decoder
LAV Video decoder
Arcsoft Video Decoder
CBVA DMO Video wrapper
This seems an acceptable spec for a machine, but am I being too optimistic?
Other suggestions?
I've been running NPVR for a while on a Windows 7 64-bit system. This was a temporary install to test out NPVR. It worked well. Yesterday I tried to set up a new NPVR into my dedicated HTPC that is running Windows XP Pro. Everything seemed to work out fine but I've hit some new problems that I didn't see in the Windows 7 setup.
I'm using mc2xml and I've checked the resultant *.xml file and all the proper data is there. But when I try to map the channels, the channel "name" is blank. I mapped a few channels manually and updated the epg and they all display the show data okay but the channel name is missing. All I have is channel numbers in the epg.
Of course not having any channel "names" to reference, results with the bulk mapping not working.
Since I've installed these patches the original problems have disappeared, but now the skipping can be unpredictable. Every now and then a forward skip goes backwards, or a 30 second backwards skip is much more than that. It only seems to happen when watching a file that is currently recording and is very random. I've seen it happen while using the server and on the client pc as well.
For the logs on April 14 it happened once around 15 minutes into the show, a forward skip went backwards instead.
For the logs on April 23 it happened often and I can't remember the exact times.
I am unsuccessful streaming - please see attached file for screenshot of error.
Windows Firewall is turned off so not sure what is actively refusing the stream. If it is the router please advise on how to handle this. I have done port forwarding before but I am inside the local network and still have errors.
Is there a way to modify the channel numbers so that they're not all over the place? In most if not all cases, I'd just replace the Digital version of the station with it's HD version and reduce the number of channels to scroll through.
I have an HDHR Prime, so maybe it gets done there or possibly in NPVR.
