I got 3 of these errors last night and 1 this morning. Not sure if something has changed recently that would cause it? I have an HD Homerun Prime for my tuner running windows 7. I am on version 2.4.3. The issue had been happening I believe since the upgrade, but it was sporatic. It seems to have started happening more often lately. I have attached the logs. I saw something in another post about setting the <HDHRBasePort> but I don't have that line in my config.xml file? Are we supposed to add it? If so does it matter where?
I have attached the logs, though the nrecord log is full of "recently deleted episode" messages so I'm not sure there is any useful data.
Some of the failed recordings were:
Seinfeld 4/19/2012 2:30am - 3am
American Restoration 4/18/2012 10:30pm - 11pm
American Restoration 4/18/2012 10:00pm - 10:30pm
Sons of Guns 4/18/2012 9pm - 10pm.
I wasn't sure whether to put this here or in the NPVR support. :-)
After being bounced around to no less that 5 people when I called Time Warner, I finally got an answer if this can be used with my service and channel line up. Wow. (It was yes BTW.)
Now the NPVR questions:
1) I'm looking at the 3 tuner model, can I assume NPVR will use all 3 tuners?
2) Will I be able to stream/timeshift LiveTV to clients like any other device?
Hi, if I'm recording a program, and also watching the same program, but say half an hour behind 'live', then I get kicked out of the live program when the recording ends. It's then often a PITA trying to watch the last 30min of the program - sometimes the time line of the recording is messed up. Last night NPVR wouldn't play the recorded version of the show at all, but I could acess the .ts file with WMP.
This is on a client BTW.
I've got 4 tuners and no other recordings happening around the same time.
Only managed to capture the client log this time, which I don't think says much.
Show recording 9-10pm, plus a couple of minutes padding. We start watching the ongoing recording from the beginning around 9.25pm.
10.02pm kicked out of time-shifted TV and unable to watch recording - NPVR locks up completely trying to access it through recordings screen.
BTW is it possible to get the server to hold logs for a couple of days? Often the problem will show up in the evening during grown ups tv, but by the morning when I'm able to look at the logs, they've been over written by scheduled recordings of kids tv.
a strange thing happens... after a number of minutes equal to the the value of screensaver InactivityMinutes, I see this in the log (I'm rendering every 15 seconds)...

Could it be some characteristic of the extra element...
I've tried changing the element name, size and location without success. I've also tried adding a text field based on a @variable to the element. It happens when I'm running as a ScreenSaver or a Plugin.
Rather ironic really, since I'm trying to simulate a sort of popup...
In version 2.4.3, shows that are recorded using "Quick Record" are not being highlighted in the TV Guide. So I am frequently selecting the same show multiple times.
The shows selected for quick recording "do" show up in the pending recording list.
I had this problem with past versions, but I don't remember now what I had to do to fix it?
Since I have updated my beloved GBPVR PC to NextPVR, I have a problem that the machine wakes up as desired, but afterwards the recording says "No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal". I tried for example to record "Monk" at 3 a.m. , NextPVR woke up the machine, but the result was a failure, I attached the logs. As I understand the log, the recording was started and stopped correctly, what could be the reason?
I just made the update from the last GBPVR Version to NextPVR. It took me quite a long time to set up all the channels for the German TV program. It would make things easier if there is an import/export function for the channels. Perhaps the informations could be stored in a textfile to also edit informations like this:
Even though I might record just a few minutes of a show, when browsing TV Recordings it shows the show's length instead of the Actual Recording Time. Would if be possible to show this?
