Hi, I have suddenly hit the problem where my Sky card entitlements no longer update when using the configuration
OSCAM + Sky card + ACAMD + NPVR
Its not a config problem as I take the exact copy of the mdplugin\tunerdirectory\ contents and copy them into dvbdream for example on the same machine and they update and I can see EMM's being sent and writtain to my sky card in the OSCAM web interface, but with NPVR are no entitlements get sent,
does any one have any ideas what could be causing this?
for the life of me I cant find the registry key setting anywhere in the forum any more to change the size of the slip file in seconds, can someone please remind me
I have set up Windows to automatically run mc2xml daily though the task scheduler. My question is whether this is sufficient to automatically update the program guide, or is there some additional step I need to take to automate the process of grabbing the new xml file within nextpvr? If there is an extra step can someone detail what needs to be done step-by-step?
I created a recording from NEWA and selected "First Run Only". When the recording is saved it shows the title followed by "First Run Events Only". That seems fine. When I click on this recurring program to edit it, the "First Run Only" checkbox is unchecked. So I click on the checkbox to enable it and clicked "Update Season Recording". Now the title no longer shows "First Run Events Only". It seems like the "First Run Only" option only works the first time the recording is created. Any ideas or logs that I should attach?
Thanks.
I had NPVR running great on a 32 bit XP pro box for quite some time, but the OS drive finally died last week. I wasn't really too upset though, it was the perfect excuse to upgrade to WIN7x64 and a SSD! Win7 installed fine and I'm working on getting NPVR back up and running now.
I'm having some problems trying to get everything working again though. I've turned off all the anti-virus and firewall to eliminate those from the equation.
So, I'm basically having 3 problems right now:
Problem 1.
Whenever I exit settings and click the main screen in NPVR I get an unhanded error message. When I click continue it seems to be ok, but it's probably got something to do with problems 2 &3. A screenshot and the text from the error is in the zip.
Problem 2:
When I run RegisterFilter.bat I get an error for every one a screenshot is in the zip. I ran FilterCheck.exe and attached the log in the zip too. I think everything is right, but obviously not... hints? tips?
Problem 3:
I have 3 tuners installed:
1. Silicondust HDHomerun (QAM)
2. HVR-950 (shows as a 980) (analog)
3. AVerMedia H826 hybrid (QAM/analog)
The HDHR and 950 work fine. The H826 QAM works, but I can't get it to recognize the analog side in the devices list much less scan channels. I've double checked the drivers and it works in media center, but NPVR doesn't see it.
I'm half guessing most of this probably has something to do with the 64bit and my lack of experience with it. I'm just a bit overwhelmed right now with all the problems. What's my best point to start here?
As it seems rather quiet around here for technical issues with 2.4.3 (clearly an excellent release), perhaps it's a good time to ask for a small new feature. Many DVR/PVR's and even VCR's in the last century had a single-frame viewing mode. Sometimes there'd be a dedicated button on the remote for a single frame-skip while other times hitting the pause button while already paused would simply advance a single frame and pause again.
I propose the latter solution for NPVR - if the user presses Pause while already paused, advance one frame and pause again; show only the timeline but not the show details box and clear it if it's already showing. Pressing Play while paused would resume normal playback.
Also, while I'm at it, in the 2.4.3 announcement thread I asked to have the old "short skip" moved to the left/right arrow keys if FastPlay is enabled on the traditional ff/rw buttons. That way I could have all three navigation methods at once - Long Skips, Short Skips, and FF/RW.
Finally, is it technically possible to implement a slow-motion playback mode? If so, perhaps implement it so that if the user pauses first, then presses FF or RW, enter Slow-Mo; if the user presses FF or RW again, switch to FastPlay.
Situation:
2 Colossus on the same machine (same description for the cards in the settings)
3 different listings from schedule direct (Dish Network, BELL, Videotron)
My Free to Air boxe use Dish Network and BELL and have a setting to automatically modify the channel number for BELL to 2xxx (exemple channel 781 will appear as 2781 in my FTA after a scan) and he will keep the original channel number for Dish Network.
I have another Scientific Atlanta cable box using Videotron Provider.
In the tuner settings regarding the channel import function there is no way to import the Dish Network channels in a dish network group and the BELL channels in a different group.
I have a lot of work to do manually:
1. I need to modify all the BELL channels one by one to add the 2xxx in front of the listing number.
2.Need to sort all the channels in 3 differents groups (Dish Network, BELL, Videotron)
1.Could be practice to have a additionnal settings regarding the channel import function under tuner settings for the different schedule direct listing providers (Dish Network, BELL, Videotron...) and create a different group for each provider.
2.A tick box to auto convert 1 provider channel numbers to 2xxx (exemple all the bell channels will be change from ex:781 to 2781) like the FTA protocol.
3.Name the 2 tuners with a different name like : Colossus#1, Colossus#2
4.Add 1 column for providers (Bell, Dish Network...) in the devices settings in the channels import area.
WHen i record i always set to record all seasons and keep all recordings.
When i have a number already stored, it doesnt seem to record anything unless its new (or maybe not, without checking every single show its missed).
This weekend is Big Bang Theory on Comedy Channel, after setting the above, its not going to record anything, i have 1 stored, and seen the others before, does it store that fact it has been recorded or is there a bug?
Other shows seem fine (and ive seen duplicates sometimes in the same day as certain shows are duplicated in the day).
Hi - Could someone confirm the tuning numbers for Freesat Channel 4 HD and the Channel 5 channels (5 USA, 5* etc)? Channel 4 HD has worked for me in the past but now isn't working on one of my PC's running NPVR. On the second PC I have I've upgraded to the latest version of NPVR and neither Channel 4 HD or the the set of Channel 5 channels were picked up doing a scan using the FreeSat only list of tuning numbers. The number I'd previously been using for Channel 4 HD was 11127,V,22000,23,198 and for the Channel 5 channels was 10964,H,22000,0
