The latest version was released on April 13th with the following changes:

- Added a specific override setting for blu-ray discs (or folder rips)

This change allows you to set a refresh rate to use with blu-ray discs or folder rips which MediaInfo normally fails to detect (probably because the actual m2ts file being played is different from the index.bdmv one specified in the initial graph (due to the way the LAV splitter works)).

I'm trying to do a little post processing logic and only want specific shows processed. Is it possible, and if so, how would I go about getting just the recording title as a variable? I know I can use "%1" to get the full path and file name, but is there a easy way to just get the title?

I've searched light and low and I'm just not finding it... maybe it's not possible? or maybe my search skills lack?

When creating a 'daily' manual recording the pending recording for today is not being created. It may be significant that the time I set-up the recording was approximately 12:25pm (i.e. 25 past midnight).

Name of the manual recording is 'Test';
name of the show being recorded is 'Rude Awakenings'
channel is TVOne

The feature did work on the previous version and still does work with one-off recordings.

This problem occurs when recording parts of a much larger show. For instance, TVOne shows an overnight stream from the BBC entitled 'BBC World 2012'. I only want some programmes from within this 'show' such as 'Click' and the 'News' and create individual recordings naming them with their programme names. It is these manual season recordings which are not being recorded.

The scheduled recording appears in the 'recurring recordings' once and the expected number of times in the 'pending recordings'.

I am sorry but I haven't attached any log files - she who must be obeyed wants to watch the tele. If you require them please tell me which ones.

Everything with nDroid works well besides that I cannot schedule any recordings. Updating channel listings, streaming LiveTV, streaming music and videos works well both over Lan and Internet but any attempt to record causes errors in the logs that I am not able to interpret.

I'd like the menu screen to fade in when first launching the program. Just because it would look nice, and fit in with the win7 theme.

When I watch Live TV, I rarely pause or rewind. Having the option to turn off Live TV buffering would allow NPVR to work like the old GBPVR "Live TV".

Why would I want to turn off buffering? Two reasons:
1. when watching some sports, I find my Live TV video to be a little bit jittery... not jerky, just not totally smooth. I think this MAY be because the overhead of recording the buffer results in some CPU starvation that results in not-totally-smooth live TV. There could be other reasons, but I did not find this jittery behaviour with GBPVR. This brings me to my second reason for wanting to turn off the Live TV buffer.
2. I use my PC for other tasks (on a second monitor) while watching Live TV. Those other tasks also consume valuable CPU cycles, and read/write from the hard drive. I have encountered situations where my CPU is running consistently between 95% and 100% due to other (unrelated) background tasks running while also trying to watch Live TV. It would help both my Live TV viewing and my other (non-NPVR) processing if I had the option of turning off the buffering.

This seems to me, perhaps naively, as if it should be an easy option to bring back. Since NPVR is actually doing two things at once in "Live TV", i.e. it is both displaying the true live feed (through all the processes that entails) and recording to the buffer (through the processes that entails), is it not fairly simple to just give an option to disable the buffering and its processes?

My system is a Dell Vostro 1320, Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz, running 32-bit Vista. I am using a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 950q and viewing and/or recording analog NTSC (cable) only.

I know there's "kind of" support for Blu-rays in NPVR now via the LAV splitter and audio decoder, but I've never really managed to get it working that well, and you're still left without support for subtitles, never mind full-menu support if you want that too. Therefore, I still play all of my blu-ray discs via TotalMediaTheater.

Not that I really have the drive space for it, but I started looking at options for ripping some of them (to iso, and using ClownBD to make them movie-only), but wanted a nice solution for launching TMT via NPVR direct to the mounted ISO. Turns out the solution is reasonably simple:

Rather than tell NPVR the location of VirtualCloneDrive's daemon.exe, I changed the config file so that it called a batch file instead:

I have the aspect ratio option set to remember last mode. I also have a couple of custom ratios; let's just call them 0 (auto), 1 and 2. Fill has been disabled.

When playing Live TV or recordings (of .ts files) then everything works as expected. I want '1' as the ratio and it sticks.

When playing any other type of video file (eg DVDs, mpegs from gbpvr, mkv, etc), then NPVR doesn't start the video using the last mode. If I had '1' active in Live TV, and then start a DVD, then the ratio now looks like '0' (auto). Note though, that a single press of F7 changes the ratio to '2', as if NPVR thought it *was* still using '1' but didn't actually activate it.

In all cases, the logs always show "restoring last aspect ratio" before the graph is built, but only Live TV ever shows stuff like:
