I ran into a problem on the NMT today when I wanted to seek 3 minutes back but for some reason my system was very non-responsive.
Code:
2012-04-01 17:40:37.818 [DEBUG][3] User pressed: D3
2012-04-01 17:40:38.872 [DEBUG][3] OnKeyDown() complete
...
2012-04-01 17:40:39.782 [DEBUG][3] incremental frame sent
...
2012-04-01 17:40:41.213 [DEBUG][3] auto changing channels after 3085ms
...
2012-04-01 17:41:03.179 [DEBUG][3] User pressed: Left
In this situation I thought I lost an important piece of the hockey game I was watching when the channel changed, fortunately the bug that keeps live tv files around allowed me to watch it.
Trying again, later all seemed normal so I can't explain why NPVR was so non-responsive processing the key and sending the update earlier. It might be worth digging into why the PC can slow this much.
Code:
2012-04-01 18:23:26.123 [DEBUG][3] User pressed: D3
2012-04-01 18:23:26.124 [DEBUG][3] OnKeyDown() complete
...
2012-04-01 18:23:26.457 [DEBUG][3] incremental frame sent
...
2012-04-01 18:23:29.126 [DEBUG][3] auto changing channels after 3003ms
At the end of it all I would like an option like GBPVR had
I've got GBPVR and NPVR operating side-by-side in the same machine. GBPVR is scheduled to retrieve 14 days of programming from Schedules Direct and it does. I can't find a setting for the number of days in NPVR but it only retrieves 7 days. What am I missing?
I don't know if my upgrade to 2.4.3 or switching to HDHomeRun dual tuner causes this problem, but a lot of recordings now won't play back after 2 seconds, or some have completely wrong recording lengths. This does not happen for all recordings. The info for some recordings says "[No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal.]" and there is no Play button. This may be the message from TV Listings plugin. The video file is indeed 0 KB.
I missed the part in the 2.4.3 sticky about HDHomeRun and adding a firewall exception, so I have now done that. I have also realized that NPVR asked me if I wanted to copy channel lineup from my Hauppauge device to the HDHomeRun, and I said yes. Maybe there is a bug in that code? I will remove my HDHomeRun channel data and let it scan for the channels.
When I use VideoLan to play the .ts file in question, it gets stuck at the same 2 second mark, but then suddenly plays again at 8 seconds.
Attached is my npvr.log file. I will test more tonight to see if the firewall exception makes the problems go away.
So I'll probably look at a new MB/CPU/Ram combo - integrated graphics. Most of these Motherboards are pretty light on PCI slots. I'll use one for a HVR3000 DVB-S cards, and thinking about a HDHomeRun or Dual DVB-T
I've experienced 3 client freezes during Live TV on a Client since 2.4.3. It's always been pretty solid prior. I wasn't doing anything during this, just while watching the picture freeze frames and the audio goes out.
The only way to recover is Ctrl+Alt+Del and force close NextPVR.exe.
Hi. first of all thanx for this great program!!
I`m scheduling a manual recording in the early morning of tomorrow e.g. from 0.50 to 3.00 it says that they are 1300 minutes instead of 130. and fails the scheduling removing this from pending. if i schedule something for today it works fine.
thanx in advance.
