I'm having some problems with recurring recordings.
Using Win7 x64 and NPVR 2.4.3.
Noticed that if I manual set a recurring recording with a start time between midnight 12am to morning 7.59am, end time can be any time(maybe 1 or few hrs later), records week days (monday to friday), NPVR will set the pending recording to record from Tue to Sat.
Example :
OK setting : start time 8.00am to end time 9.00am
This setting will record from Monday To Friday correctly.
Not OK setting : start time 7.59am to end time 9.00am
This setting will NPVR record from Tuesday To Saturday instead of Monday To Friday.
Another problem for me is that all my manual recurring recordings have stopped recording after about a week or so.
They didn't appear inside the pending recordings after a week even when the recording entries are still inside the recurring recordings list.
Is the recurring recordings valid for a week only?
Hi, I want to deploy any future update when available from my server at client startup, can you run the install in silent mode so that there is no user input required during the install?
I'm not sure if this is something broken or a feature request.
I used Search and found a show I wanted to record. I selected it as normal and when done it put be back to the search results, but my show wasn't highlighted in red. I figured I hit cancel or something and tried again. Same result.
Then I realized, all my tuners were set to record that night and I had none left available. Maybe a popup when that happens along the lines of "all tuners are already scheduled to record, none available"?
Update: attached to this post is latest version, with all features..
**** Edit limit# of actors/guests/etc at top of .xslt file [4 and 8 seem to be good choices to start with]
I made a xslt transform that is an XMLTV epg enhancer..it adds actor/guest to description, and some other things..
[if editing large xml, it blows doors off any other method unreal performance..
for example, a single .vbs date transform using msxml took 3 minutes,
while 12 transforms in a .xslt on same file took 8 seconds! those same transforms in pure vbs took 30 mins!!]
To Run:
msxsl.exe input.xml xmltv.xslt -o output.xml 2>>enhancer.log
[input and output can be the same file, overwriting input with output]
try it on your epg .xml and check out the output in notepad...i'm very happy with results..
only takes about 10 secs to edit 2 weeks worth of 150 channels data!!!
i've now deciphered most of xslt processing so can pretty much do anything i need with it... so make any suggestions, while i can still remember it all...LOL
Works well on xp [probably win2k also w/msxml 4.0] thru win7 sp1, 64bit and 32bit equally well..no special permissions needed..
UltraXMLEnhancer was just too unstable, but i'm spoiled with the extras, ever since I-XmlTV enahancer from the old days...lol
Attached below is latest version: 0.9
I will be rewriting it completely as to make it more structured and modular.. [hopefully it'll help with xml indents]
EDIT for .8: Added Paid Programming alteration, replaces them with 'Ad' and erases description.. EDIT for .9 replaced the output at top to fix xmltv.dtd to fix titles with '&'

Recently my cable company has gone all digital. So it is time I think to upgrade from GBPVR to NextPVR with that I need to have a new card currently I am running a Haup PVR 150. Running on standard XP SP3.
I am trying to figure out which card to buy it seems that not many people like the 1600 but it seems to have additional tuners and hardware encoding. I doubt I will use the analog tuner because I dont have an antenna but the hardware encoding seems good considering my aging system. Which card do you think that I should go with? It has to be PCI so if there is a better suggestion out there on the cards let me know. Thanks for your replies.
Hello, I'm looking for a little help trying to get NPVR 2.4.3 up and going for QAM TV on a Gateway GM5664 32-bit Vista computer (specs on it athttp://support.gateway.com/s/PC/R/101500...Rsp2.shtml) I've got an ASUS Combo-210X PCI-e tuner which identifies itself as a ViXS PureTV-U 48B8 tuner. It was also sold as a VistaView Saber DA-1N1-E. I've tried a couple different drivers with no change and have the newest available in it now. although it's from late 2007 it's the last driver update that was done for it that I have been able to find. here's a link to the specs of this card http://support.gateway.com/s/vidcard/asu...Rsp2.shtml
When I try to scan QAM on the Vixs tuner I get nothing on any of the QAM tuning frequencies. The digital tv's in the house don't have any issue seeing these channels straight out of the cable. It scans QAM without issue but never finds any channels. The tvs getting the QAM channels are off of the same splitter and the tuner is the shortest run from there at only about 8 feet. Same cable hasn't had any troubles with the analog in vista media center. I've also tried going straight to the tuner and cutting out the splitter and still get nothing.
ATSC works great, no problem picking up all available channels. I mostly want to get the QAM working though.
I've tried to get this tuner working for QAM in MediaPortal as well and it recognizes the tuner and scans but also finds no signal for QAM there either. Although I don't believe it to be the issue, I am going to swap the current cable with another to make sure there isn't something weird with it.
I have attached the log if anyone would have a little time to take a look. If you need anything else or more information let me know and thank you in advance for your time.
