I'm not sure if this is "me", or something in the R1 patches.
On occasion I've had NPVR lock up after watching a Video. The video ends, the directory shows up and then goes unresponsive. A quick ctrl+alt+del to the task manager shows NPVR unresponsive. A quick force close and relaunch and I'm back in business.
Attached is the relevant log file. You can see the video right at the end. An episode of "Once Upon a Time" is stopped, several events are recorded after the stop and then the lock up.
The only other thing I changed along with the R1 patches is the latest TV Listings Beta. It's fairly random, I've been trying to identify if it is the video file-type or a codec being used, but haven't found a pattern.
Interesting that it successfully stops playing and returns back to NPVR and then freezes.
I realize that directories in the recordings list aren't actually directories but it would be very helpful if there were a way to delete all episodes at once instead of doing one at a time.
I have a server and a client and the server's recording path is simply E: On the client I set the recordings to E:/Recordings/. WHen I recorded a show (set from the client) it recorded it in E:/<ShowName>/
Does this mean the recordings path in the client is ignored in favor of the server's path setting? It's a good thing for me if it is 8)
I have tons of videos and it'd be nice if I could press a key and have the selected item jump to the first listing with that character. e.g. Press P and it jumps to the first listing that starts with P.
Recently over two evenings NextPVR only recorded the last 15 minutes of an hour long programme in a particular time slot when it woke to make a later recording. Fortunately on both occasions I happened to see the computer wake and realised it should already be recording, because afterwards NextPVR does not warn about a problem with the recording.
At first sight looking at the System log the computer seems to wake to make the recording then immediately sleeps again which I remember others have seen. However on closer examination of some of the entries I think something slightly different is happening
Previous programme end 18:30 + 3 min padding + 5 min to sleep. Then 20 minute later hibernation. Recording of the next programme should start at 18:57.
18:37:04 System is entering sleep
18:57:29 The system has resumed from sleep
Sleep time 18:57:26
Wake Time 18:57:23
If the âThe system has resumed from sleepâ entry was a log of the computer waking to make a recording then âSleep timeâ would have been listed as 18:37:04. Instead I think it is the log of the computer going from âSleepâ to âHibernationâ. I know from experience with my desktop computer that if you want to use the computer after it starts to go into hibernation there is nothing you can do to get back the use of the computer until the process finishes. Unfortunately I think any Wake command to start a recording in that minute or so time period will also be lost.
The same pattern of recordings has been going on for 2-3 weeks but only 2 were missed so perhaps something such as the time it takes to boot or hibernate has changed slightly. For now my computer goes straight to hibernation so should stop this particular problem but may later cause a problem with a different set of recording times.
I am having trouble getting Network Recorder working with my Ceton InfiniTV. What kinds of things can I do to troubleshoot? How do I verify each piece: SageDCT - Network Recorder - NPVR. I am able to record 4 shows at once with Windows Media Center, so I know the card works. The SageDCT Configuration communicates with the card when I try on the Test pane. When I try to watch something in NPVR, I get a black screen. When I tried to record something & then watch it on an NMT, it didn't work either. I opened the 4 ports for the card in Windows Firewall. I also created entries for NRecord.exe, NextPVR.exe & SageDCT. I have attached my zipped up Logs directory, my NetworRecorder.xml and the output from the SageDCT Configuration program. (NRecord.log.3 is my attempt to watch channel 50 & then record MythBusters.) At this point I have only one of the tuners configured in NPVR.
Juast as a reminder this is a new install of Windows & NPVR. I have been using NPVR on XP for ages, but couldn't find any drivers for the Ceton for XP.
I have just recovered from a NextPVR lockup. I have a dodgy tuner that I added and configured in Settings/Devices and tested and then removed and deleted from Settings/Devices.
Later ... NextPVR ground to a halt ... nothing would record, tray icon Show Status was blank and so on and on.
It appeared from the nrecord.log and from looking at the content of the database that nrecord was trying to start a recording on a capture source oid that did not exist in the capture source table. nrecord then stopped and everything else soon stopped also.
Hence, the title of this thread ... Are recordings re-scheduled when a capture source is deleted in Settings/Devices?
Hello.
I followed the guide for N-PVR installation and some of the threads that Martin and others helped sort out the problems of connection and resolution.
Now I can connect the the N-PVR from NMT but the screen is purple-ish... The colors are off.
Attached are all the possible logs I could generate.
Thanks for any help in advance.
Pavel.
I'm just trying to modify the default skin a bit - bigger fonts mostly. I'm playing with the videos list and I've got the bigger fonts and wider listview but I can't seem to figure out how to shrink the cover art viewing area, mostly because I don't know which part of the XML file describes it.
Is there a faq somewhere that says what the different elements are for? I figured out the three folder/item views for the most part but the rest is evading me.
