Recently trying NPVR (currently use GB-PVR) and can't watch live TV because NPVR is unable to communicate with recording device. I try to restart recording service and get the error that's in the JPEG I've uploaded.
Is there an option in the config.xml or irremote.ini files that will adjust remote input timing? If I hit the buttons quickly all is well, but otherwise it jumps past the selection I am aiming for. Rather be old and slow!
- What decoder if any is used when playing mp3's from my server? I cannot get my front 2 av channels to fire up. They work with npvr live, video, and recorded tv.
- I am working on getting a remote set up, and cannot find a remote menu selection to get back to npvr's main menu. I have to do a right mouse click/main menu selection.
This has probably been answered before but I can't find it, so: What are the options for a capture device to capture analog output from a STB in HD (720 preferably)? And what's the cheapest?
I am new to NextPVR, so please excuse me for any mistakes.
I use the NextPVR 2.2.6 version with Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit. I have both Service Packs 1 & 2 installed. My graphics card is a HIS ATI Radeon HD 5770, which has the latest driver installed. I live in the United Kingdom, England.
I was originally using Windows Media Center with my USB TV Tuner, but I became frustrated with it due to video settings. When comparing Windows Media Center with Windows Media Player 11 video playback, for some reason Media Center displayed the video with worse colour settings. It was too bright, colours did not look natural, and black colours had a annoying green tinge to them. If anyone has any suggestions about fixing this I would appreciate this.
Now on to my NextPVR issues:
1) When watching Live TV or recorded TV, depending on the channel, the video does not always fill the screen. On channels such as BBC1 there is two black bars down the side, but on Channel 4 the video fits the screen perfectly. I get the same problem when watching recorded TV (using Media Center to record) in Media Player. But not in Media Center, the video always fits the screen correctly.
2) When watching recorded TV the video flickers, as in the picture becomes lighter for a second and then returns to normal. This happens repeatedly at random times. I experience this problem once again when watching recorded TV and DVDs in Media Player.
3) I cannot hear sound when watching DVDs, I have a video feed but no sound. I have set the decoders to Video Renderer "EVR", Audio Renderer "Default", MPEG2 Video "Microsoft MPEG-2 Video Decoder" and AC3 Audio "Microsoft MPEG-1/DD Audio Decoder". I have tried changing the Audio Render to all available options but still do not hear sound. I use headphones as my audio output.
I do not know much about decoders and how to sort these problems, so I would appreciate any help from anyone for any of the issues. I have only been using NextPVR for 2 weeks!
I was doing some changes to NPVR that I regretted and I reverted back to a saved npvr.db3. Now some recordings that I know took place show twice. Once as Failed and a second time with a different time after I did an Import Recordings from a recordingbackup.xml from after the recordings took place. The recordingbackup.xml was renamed from recordingbackup.xml.2 so I could get them imported. The times are off by 6 hours. What can I do to correct the times of those recordings and have them show up only once with the right time?
I need the recordings to be in the following format: SeriesName}_EpisodeName_RecordDate.ts (spaces are allowed) I was reading the wiki, and it looks like manual record can kinda do this, but I don't have "man rec" in the hidden menu. any ideas, or a methodology to change the recording name?
Sub, I'm not sure how you use the unique_id field to block future recordings of deleted events, but I noticed in this database http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...m&p=430524 several unqiue_id's that weren't going to be unique over time.
Just started using Imagegrablite and have a problem with downloading cover art. It only seems to work on some titles where it only downloads the XML file and not the jpg (into the shows folder). If I use searchlite then it finds and downloads the cover art OK.
In the log below it does not find the art for "river monsters" even though it finds the XML file and thetvdb has the info. Also the episode mentioned around it (Cece Crashes) is not for that program but another in the pending recordings. Tried running "imagegrablite --updateepg" multiple times and also after deleting the xml file first.
thanks

Hopefully I've fixed the problems on the Guide details popup that Nistrod mentioned in the v1.7.4 thread.
Repeat of the release details...
I've uploaded v1.7.5 of the nDroid client app to the Android Market and the associated installer for the v 1.7.4 of the nDroid service to the NextPVR wiki page. http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...ity.NDroid
You MUST update both of them for this version to work - please update the nDroidService on your PC before downloading v1.7.5 of the nDroid app.
Also, please see the point below about uninstalling v1.6.8 of the nDroid app before downloading v1.7.5 to your Android device.
IMPORTANT:
v1.7.x requires NextPVR v2.3.6 and WILL NOT work with previous versions.
If you have v1.6.8 or earlier installed on your Android device, you MUST uninstall it before installing v1.7.x
v1.7.4 of the nDroidService may be installed over previous versions
