Android 4.0 x86 Port now available
Posted by: ShiningDragon - 2011-12-02, 03:18 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

For the brave testers here a nice link to play around with an Android 4.0 port for x86 machines. Big Grin

http://www.android-x86.org/download

Btw., it looks like that the developers only get support from amd. Intel seems not to be interested in supporting this project. So don't expect wonders on non amd systems.

Have fun. Wink

2 similar stories that I just knew would happen sooner or later.
Everyone pushes internet streaming but in the states, ISP's are crying, "we don't have enough bandwidth" yet we're sucking it up. Either someone is lying or stretching the truth or they just want to make more money. Now that we've been sucking on the teet for so long, they figure we won't give it up and will pay more. I think they know we will.

UK 5USA and 5* now FTA
Posted by: BigMoose - 2011-12-01, 10:56 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (7)

Post from Digitalspy:

[INDENT]10964H SR 22000 FEC 5/6

4 regions of Channel 5 (all except Region 2, PART)
5USA
5USA +1
5*
5* +1

All FTA now!!!![/INDENT]

I scanned them fine but they do still have the encryption flag set. I can watch them in npvr, but something isn't happy as using the channel up/down buttons gives me an unhandled exception. Typing the channel number directly shows them fine.

  Keep recoding for xx time?
Posted by: Elmo Putney - 2011-12-01, 10:01 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (1)

I quite like the idea of being able to do a season record but only keep the file for a fixed period of time before being automatically deleted.

For instance there is a soap we watch if nothing else is on, I would like to have it season recorded so I can watch if we have nothing else on, but it's on daily so if I dont watch the episode on the night it's aired I'm never going to watch it because it's really not that important I'll skip a show and I'll catch up the next night.

I could use the keep 1 show setting but I'll still end up with a show on the hard drive I don't need.

  nDroid v1.6.5 (maintenance release)
Posted by: bgowland - 2011-12-01, 11:17 AM - Forum: Community Announcements - No Replies

I've just uploaded nDroid v1.6.5 to the Android Market

Quote:* Fixed bug which would cause crash if SD card not available

Hopefully this would be a rare condition but to all nDroid users (or any Android users) be aware that dismounting the SD card (which includes plugging via USB to PC and letting the PC see it as a USB Disk Drive) can cause problems with any app on the device.

Thanks to the person who uploaded the error report via the Android Market. The error reports don't tell much but I think I nailed this one.

Cheers,
Brian

  Series recording double/triple/quadruple ups
Posted by: DopeFishhh - 2011-12-01, 10:13 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (9)

Hi,

I've got a series recording that i ended up having to cancel and reschedule because NPVR kept cutting off the last 10 minutes or so. Now instead of recording 1 file it records 4.

I think I've killed the series recording now by going to recordings > pending recordings and removing all references to the show. Is this the correct way to remove a series recording?

I find it odd that it would allow repeat series recording that overlap, is it a bug?

Thanks

  Error using Picture Library
Posted by: huck - 2011-12-01, 04:42 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (9)

Brand new install of nextPVR on a brand new box. The built in Picture Viewer gives me some error "E_FAIL" and something about "COM". When I look in the logs I see this...

2011-11-30 21:26:10.681 [ERROR][1] Failed to find element: /Skin/Element[@name="SlideshowPosition"]
2011-11-30 21:26:10.681 [DEBUG][1] Element not found: /Skin/Element[@name="SlideshowPosition"]
2011-11-30 21:26:10.681 [DEBUG][1] Element not found: /Skin/Element[@name="SlideshowPosition"]
2011-11-30 21:26:10.693 [DEBUG][1] Element not found: /Skin/Element[@name="ButtonList"]

I searched forums but didn't find anything...sorry if its an already answered question. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Problem switching from analog channel to another analog channel
Posted by: superman2012 - 2011-12-01, 12:01 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (9)

Hi.

I'm having problem with NPVR 2.2.6 with latest patches.

Windows 7 x64
Hauppauge HVR1300 for analog channels only.
Hauppauge HVR1200 for digital channels only.

Live TV
I can switch from analog to digital.
I can switch from digital to analog.
I can switch from digital to digital.

But I cannot switch from analog channel to another another channel. When I select another analog channel, the live preview screen will freeze and nothing happens. (npvr didn't hang)
I have to go to a digital channel before I go to another analog channel.

For example :
I cannot switch from analog channel A to analog channel B.
I have to switch to any digital channel from analog channel A before I can go to analog B.

May I know what is the problem?
Thank you.

I am facing some inconsistencies with this program's user interface. Is the developer still active in it's progress?

I am still working with it, and will put forth a wish list if an interest is shown.

Issues and wishes - mostly for Sub
Posted by: Grampz - 2011-11-30, 07:47 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (15)

I am gathering that Sub is working to a new release that may cover a few issues that I, and notice that others are having. I have viewed in a few threads and sense that he is past fixing current release issues, as the new build has changes that cannot be applied to the current release.

My current problems are:
- fast forward, pause, rewind, without a wait time to recover, whether live or recorded.
- comskip inconsistency, may not be from Sub's work!

Wishes:
- Option to save recordings in .mp4 format, so I can view on a Roku box. Yeah it is me again!

I have dug deep into getting this app to do what I want for me, and appreciate the documentation updates on the wiki. Very nice!

Greg
