I succesfuly installed TV Listings some time back (after forgetting to activate the plugin in settings:o), but still haven't been able to convince the better half to use it.
So it's been a while since I know the plugin worked, and now, when it doesn't, and I have no idea what might have changed in the interim.. Needless to say, standard TV Guide still works, so the EPG is loading, but I don't understand the error below..
Code:
2011-09-25 16:26:17.484 [DEBUG][1] TV Listings: Activating...
2011-09-25 16:26:17.484 [ERROR][1] TV Listings: no current channel found!
2011-09-25 16:26:17.484 [DEBUG][1] TV Listings: Deactivating...
2011-09-25 16:26:17.484 [DEBUG][1] TV Listings: deactivated.
For some time I have had a problem with NRecord stopping about once a week overnight usually at the end of the EPG scan. The easy way to get NPVR back working is to reboot but there is often half a dozen failed recordings by the time I realise there is a problem. Another solution is to Stop then Start the NPVR service which could be put into a batch file with NPVRServiceControl.exe stop then start. What I am looking for is a command to detect if NRecord is running then if not I can restart the NPVR service. This would be so easy in Linux but seems difficult under Windows.
I have v2.2.6, and a client install, watch live tv on the client alot, i notice the Live TV Buffer directory has about 12.4Gb of files in it, does this not get deleted when i stop watching TV?
I have a Hauppauge HVR-2250, it works fine, i can record one analogue channel and watch another (ive just tested it 2 mins ago), however i had something last night i wanted to record (23 sep 2011, 2000-2100, it failed, i have no idea why, i was watching TV (via a client), i cant find any log files (where are they stored?).
I use Schedule direct from inside nPVR and i notice all the listings have gone (blank in the TV Listings) from 23 sep 2011 2000 and before.
Server and client are Windows XP 64bit, 4Gb RAM, 1TB hard drive (loads of space left), tested today as working fine, like to bebug what happened yesterday.
I recently switched to a HDMI cable on my PVR (see sig for specs).
I've noticed that the video often appears "smeared" on playback. It looks, during moderate speed action scenes, as if people's faces have been partially smeared as if someone wiped their hand over wet paint. It does make for some comical expressions on people's faces, but it's generally very annoying!
I'm guessing that some component of the video rendering process can't keep up with its work, but I have no idea how to go about debugging this.
I'm currently a SageTV user looking at alternatives. I have installed 2.2.6 and have run into a problem. After configuring the capture card, channels (DirecTV) via Schedules Direct. When I try to watch live TV or record I get nothing but a black screen. I can watch recordings from SageTV just fine so I don't think it is andecoder issue. Any tips?
I keep getting Unhandled Exceptions at different points in NPVR. Sometimes when trying to make changes in the guide to recordings and sometimes when checking the weather. Any suggestions?
