I have a feeling that I'm missing something obvious, but I cannot get NPVR to record audio via optical..only AAC via RCA.
I have configured via ArcSoft Showbiz and it retains the optical settings...and allows recording of AC3 via optical...but the settings don't seem to be used by NPVR. Am I missing something? I have searched the forums and see some entries about AC3 playback...but not about recording (of course I may have missed it)
New guy here and just getting started. Most of the topics here are so far over my head I have no clue what you're talking about, but I'm trying & learning.
My first road block in attempting to get my system going is that I will be using the Adaptec avc 3610 analog tuner. I downloaded the Hauppauge Wintv7 and the associated 32 bit SoftPVR bat. The instructions say that I am supposed to edit the bat. to reflect the new Wintv7 version (2.3g) via Notepad. I have no idea how to do this. If someone could give me a little (lot) of step by step guidance it would be appreciated. Thank you.

Windows XP
After installing Next PVR and the decoders, I go to configure it and the only option that I have is "Disabled" any ideas what I can do to get them to show?
After installing one of the recent patches I cannot go into devices (I don't have an HDHR)

Maybe I'm missing something, but when I try to go to a specific channel in the Guide I have to scroll to it and can't... lets say press 249 and it goes to that listing in the guide.
I'm new to NPVR, I've got v2.1.5 on Windows XPSP3 and it works fine with both viewing and recording thru a HVR-950 tuner.
I just added a HD HomeRun HDHR3-US dual tuner to add the clear QAM channels, but I'm having problems it. I've read everything I can find here on the HDHR and tied all the suggestions, but I can't get the channels to correctly scan into NPVR. I've done multiple scans with every conceivable combination, but no luck. All NPVR finds are 2 channels, 104.2 & 114.11. (The HR setup finds 22 local clear QAM channels)
I've tried all the various program options in the HDHR setup program from BeyondTV to XBMC media center and still only get the 2 channels. I've attached the logs from the last scan using the "other:ATSC/QAM" setting in the HDHR setup program.
I'm at a total loss at this point... can someone please help steer me in the right direction?
Hi, not a big issue but something I've been wondering about for months now. My channel logos do not appear in the TV guide, but do when I select a program. Any ideas why?
I got the logos via EPG Collector; all are 318x72. They are all named to match my channels. I took a look at the wiki and all it says is where to put them and the naming convention. Does size matter? I.e are they not high enough res for the TV guide (NCL1.jpg) but are sufficient for a selected program (NCL2.jpg)?
Edit: I'm on 2.1.4, about to install 2.1.5.
