Unable to skip backwards in radio recordings.
Posted by: JP23 - 2011-07-07, 05:00 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (11)

Hi,

This is a problem I've been meaning to ask about for a while, still present in the latest version.

When playing a radio recording from DVB-T, neither the long or short backward skip buttons will actually make any progress backwards in the timeline, in fact they seem to cause a forward skip of a few seconds.

Also, the skip forward buttons seem to skip forward more than they should, for example, long skip forward is going forward by between 1.5 and 2 minutes, rather than the 1 minute that it consistently does in tv recordings.

  Folder.jpg not updating in metadata
Posted by: Clanky - 2011-07-07, 10:36 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (6)

I've been playing with metadata & fan art in Videos

If I change the folder.jpg image its not updated, the old image is retained.
I tried deleting it & inserting the new folder.jpg but this made no difference.

If I rename the folder, say Burn Notice to Burn Notice- the correct image is displayed but when I change the name back the old deleted image is displayed again.

This happens with 2.0.3 & 2.1.4

  2.1.4 Searchlite crash
Posted by: Nistrod - 2011-07-07, 09:47 AM - Forum: Add-ons (3rd party plugins, utilities and skins) - Replies (36)

Searchlite crashes when I go to one (and only one) of the found shows.

The crash error, and the screen at the time are attached, as are the logs.

I searched for "RPA", which returned four "RPA"s and one "RPA - Where are they now?". Selecting the base "RPA"s worked fine. Selecting the "RPA- Where are they now?" crashed.
Restarting NPVR has no effect - it crashed again.

The error in the log seems to be
[INDENT]2011-07-07 19:31:54.293 [DEBUG][1] Unexpected error in GetImage() callback (@previewImage): System.OutOfMemoryException: Out of memory.

  2.1.4 - Two minor issues / observations
Posted by: Porchop - 2011-07-07, 09:16 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (4)

1. I noticed in 2.0.3 that in the recordings plugin wher it says "Last Recording:dd/mm/yyyy" mine is showing the date of the first recording not the last. This is also true in 2.1.4.

2. With NPVR in full screen mode and "Stay on top" is selected if you right click and open settings, the settings window opens, gets the focus and is then covered by NPVR's menu window. The NPVR menu is then no longer responsive because the settings window has the focus. The easiest way I have found to get out of it is to ALT-F4 back to the desktop and restarting NPVR. Any chance of getting the settings window to stay on top?

Thanks

2.1.4 - Bluray playback not working from bluray drive
Posted by: Porchop - 2011-07-07, 09:06 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (15)

Firstly I would like to say fantastic timing with this release and some great added features, I really missed the search plugin. My wife was just saying how complicated it was having to use a third party player to watch bluray's.

After upgrading to 2.1.4 and installing the LAV Filters 0.29 I find that playback through the video plugin works fine with bluray images but when I trie to play a disc I get upto the first 5 seconds of video, no audio and then it freezes. I can ESC back to the main menu.

I tried making the bluray drive available through the video plugin which also suffered from the playback freezing.

I have attached my NPVR log file incase it provides any clues. Any suggestions ?

Issues playing recordings and video files
Posted by: LegioX - 2011-07-07, 06:14 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (4)

Hi,

Since my upgrade to 2.1.4 I've been having occasional issues playing either Recordings or video files (.AVIs mostly). Once the issue has occurred it will happen to every file I attempt to play until I restart the NPVR application. A service restart is not required to fix the issue.

Copy/Paste of the unhandled exception details below - let me know if logs are required.

Any idea what's causing this?

2.14 Some recordings won't stop on HDHR
Posted by: nia - 2011-07-06, 10:31 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (29)

First of all thank you for this update. Quite a few nice things in it Big Grin

I have now two separate observations of a recording not stopping on a HDHR. Sad

First time, i thought it was related to the fact that I had not rebooted after upgrading. But today it happened again. I have not had this problem in the previous versions.

Logs attached.

The first issue is in the first logset, regarding the recording from this Monday of "Kyst til kyst - Sydsjællands kyster -_20110704_20002100.ts" The attached png is the error when trying to initially fix it by activating "Restart Recording Service" from the tray icon.

The second is from this evenings recording of "Liebhaverne_20110706_20002035.ts". There was no such error this time when restarting recording service. But the Device status screen apparently froze even if the recording service seemed to be restarted.

Note: I might have to downgrade to previous version temporarily tomorrow due to vacation, unless you have a bleeding edge fix for me to test. Otherwise, I'll be back in a good weeks time.

2.1.4 - Cannot use mapped network drive on NAS as buffer or recording location
Posted by: Dam0 - 2011-07-06, 11:58 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

Hiya,

I have upgraded from 2.0.3 which has been working fine, apart from the choppy audio issue with HE-AAC and Mpeg2-audio enabled.

I use a mapped drive on my desktop (where I also watch tv via my USB Freeview-HD tuner and NPVR) as my destination for both recordings and the temporary live TV buffer.

Since installing 2.1.4, I have been unable to watch live TV with my buffer set as my network share mapped as drive. All I get when trying to invoke liveTV is a blank screen.
When I set the buffer location as one of my local SSDs as a test, it works fine.

I have checked for firewall issues and also turned the firewall off completely and I get the same results.

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, with the Cyberlink codecs for both MPEG-2 and HD broadcasts.

Anyone got any ideas ? I did have a thought about the privileges of the recording service being unable to access the mapped drive / shares but that doesn't seem to be it. This is starting to drive me crazy, anyone have any thoughts ?
