  Time Bar problem
Posted by: jcjefferies - 2011-05-08, 12:07 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

I have just spent some time trying to locate a none existent pending recording which would have prevented me setting a possibly more important recording. The programme was 7 days ahead so I pressed Ctrl + -> 7 times to jump a week ahead. What I eventually noticed is that if you use this key combination to jump a full day everything jumps forward except the “Time Bar”. The old time bar display remains displayed until you cause the display to be updated by moving left or right off screen.

  TV Guide Color
Posted by: griffy - 2011-05-08, 10:20 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I've been changing the skin (Slick) but I can't seem to find the setting for the TV Guide background (solid black by default). I want to make it transparent. Can anyone point me to this setting please.

  Recordings

All my recordings are contained in folders.
In the ealier edition, in misc. I think, I could choose to record direct without an individual folder.
How can i record without the folder wrapper.

Hi there
Just moved to NPVR from gbpvr 1.4.7
I am running Win 7 64bit

Trying to set up EWA for the new PC
was reading the notes in wiki ..
"Extract the zip into your NPVR data folder using the option to use directory names."

Sorry if I appear dense but where is NPVR data folder?

Thanks for any help

  Recordings in NPVR are at 320x240 - how do I change that?
Posted by: mattrobo - 2011-05-08, 07:22 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (19)

This is a reworked old thread because I messed it up. Dont even bother looking there. I will start again.

When doing a recording here are the sizes.

GBPVR = 720x576
NPVR= 320x240
WinTV7= 720x576

When I play on the MVP
GBPVR= Perfect - fits the screen
NPVR= only 80% of the screen and looks really bad
WinTV7= Perfect.

I have a TV thats 20 years old. It is PAL. It is 720x576. I have kept it because I have 2 kids who are 4 and 1.5. The 1.5 year old still smashes into it with "things" and dirty hands. No fancy TV for me until there goes 2 weeks in a row without a hit!

So my question is

How can I make NPVR record at 720x576?

Thanks

Matthew

  Is there a way to get next 100 items with Universe on NMT?
Posted by: cooper43 - 2011-05-07, 09:44 PM - Forum: UbuStream, Web Radio and Universe - Replies (3)

Martin,

Again congratulations on this plugin -- my family uses it every day for Netflix, Hulu etc. One issue is that many times the show we are looking for is past the 101 items that get downloaded and I can't figure out a way to see the next ones. Is this possible?

thanks,
Steve

  Thinking about coming back
Posted by: hakras - 2011-05-07, 02:04 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (10)

I used GBPVR for several years until my hardware got so inadequate that I moved over to Linux. I am now in the process of "refreshing" my server and am going to move back to Windows. I will be running Windows Server 2008 Standard on a Pentium 4 3.2Ghz with 4GB of RAM. I have 2 Popcorn Hours (one A-100 and one A-110). Previously, I had mvpmcx running via network shares. I do not have hard discs in the PCHs. I do have thumb drives at my disposal. I know there have been many changes with the software package and am curious how the mvpmcx experience is now. I was looking at the stickies, but they are several years old now (maybe I should check the Wiki). Any suggestions/advice on setup/configuration?

Hi,

sorry for the long delay, but I don't have much time at the moment.

I've attached a beta version of the next tv listings release for you to try out. Changes include:

Quote:- added new images and different font for selected programme
- added option to use the default schedule popups (to use advanced rules etc.)
- added option to change the sort order of the guides
- added 'Categories' popup that lists all upcoming shows of a genre
- added logic to move the guide to the current time after playback has stopped
- added support for the inset rectangle
- the panel no longer tries to clear the now playing area when the application exits
- on the mvp, the panel no longer tries to call ForceRender() after updateing the panel
- added option to disable the panel on the mvp

  Upgrade from gbpvr to npvr able to retain recorded video?
Posted by: thamch - 2011-05-07, 12:52 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (7)

Dear Sub,
I'm in the mid of upgrading my HTPC to new spec and plan wanted to upgrade it to npvr.
My question here is how to retain the recorded videos when installing npvr? Does renaming the gbpvr.db3 to npvr.gb3 works?

  No automated post-record transcoding in NPVR?
Posted by: patchwerk - 2011-05-06, 02:32 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

We use GB-PVR to capture our satellite feed (we have a shop-at-home style show), which is then automatically converted through GB-PVR to WMV for use by our customer service team to verify occurrences of our show hosts making unfulfillable offers during the presentation of specific items when a customer calls in wondering where their [nonexistent] item is. This system uses a custom-written program to look up the broadcast date/time of said item, and takes the use to it. It's been a beautiful, hands-off system now for almost two years, but I see that NPVR doesn't have an option to automatically transcode a recording to a low-bandwidth WMV... is this functionality permanently gone?
