As far as i know there is no way to set the default NPVR Guide and recordings like we could in GBPVR.
So i was wondering if TV listings has a keyboard shortcut to jump directly to 'TV listings' or 'TV Recordings' that i could program to the guide/recording buttons on my remote?
If not, is this something that could be implimented?
I'd also be curious to know of any other keymappings (if any) the only ones i'm aware of are CTRL-Y for the guide switch and CTRL+R to reload.
My main use of GBPVR has been recording QAM channels on a server and playing them back on a client PC (3 to be accurate). Everything is connected on a wired 1gbit switch
Previous setup was GBPVR on Server Win XP SP3, 2 win 7 clients and one XP client. Everything works great for recording playback using file sharing client mode.
I decided this weekend to install Win 7 on the server and move over to Npvr. So forth i went installed all requirements, Npvr and patches posted in the Npvr support thread.
I then did same on clients, and set all up as needed. All went smooth for install.
but..., I tried to playback recording and on every client it would stutter, no matter what codec i used. I would like to know if there is something i should know about Npvr and the client setup that is different from GBPVR, I feel as though file sharing method support in NPVR has been removed and may be an issue for me. I dont know why it would be stuttering, everything is up to date.
Can someone shed some light on how i should set this up or what i should look into to get stutter free video.
GBPVR is still working as it did under previous setup. Really looking forward to using NPVR
I'd like to show a progress bar type graphical display to show the current volume as part of my Volume OSD plugin.
I'd like to implement this in nPVR in an efficient and nice looking way. But, graphical stuff has never been my strong point so I'd like to open it up to the group
edit: oh, i get it... she's got multiple personality disorder, and the Jan personality is a paranoid schizophrenic as well... so first the Ellen personality joins the forum, and then 3 days later Jan does too, but being paranoid she doesn't want to use her own picture so she uses one that bitch Ellen left on her computer last time she snuck in her room to use it. Ellen's afraid of Jan so she doesn't do anything about it.
that makes sense, right?
edit: I'm starting to worry about me. anyone else?
This is a list of small-ish bugs that have been reported in the past but have escaped being fixed (though at least in one case it's not for lack of effort by sub). These are the sorts of things that are fine in beta software, but ought to be dealt with as npvr appears to be approaching a non-beta 2.0 release and a final name.
1. Resume position bug - first skip after resuming playback jumps back to 12:48. I *think* this only affects .ts files with Timing.Info.
2. Wrong date displayed when Ready Recordings are sorted by Date Descending - the displayed date is the date of the earliest recording in the group, but it should be the latest recording (which is what the text label says).
3. Recurring Recording in progress during EPG update gets duplicated - the duplicate recording begins as soon as the recording schedule is reloaded.
4. Auto-deleted recording removed from database, but not physically deleted if it is being watched at the time of deletion; this results in orphaned recording files taking up extra space on the drive. (I'm not certain this has been reported before)
5. @currentTime not available during video or recording playback (ok, maybe this isn't so much a bug as an omission, but it ought to be available)
I could swear there were a couple more, but that's all I can think of for now.
so totally off any NPVR related stuff but can anyone help with Win 7 and my home network?
I'm still an XP boy but Mrs Steeb who has v high powered job that uses a laptop had it die on her yesterday. So went out and bought new laptop today. With Win 7
Of course I could trawl the web but wondered whether I could ask for help here!
I am not finding it intuitive to connect to my home network where all the software I need is stored.
Are there any UK DVB-S users still getting the London version of ITV HD with AC3 audio?
I can get a picture but no audio using;
T:10832,H,22000,56~NID:32~ONID:2~TSID:2049~P:10000~V:2362~VTYPE:H264~A:2363~L:eng~PMT:288~PCR:2362~N:>ITV1 HD LONDON
Once tuned the info button in GBPVR reports Mpeg1 audio, and there is no sound.
I am using ITV1 HD Granada and STV HD as alternatives - they both use mpeg audio. - but it would be good to have the option of AC3.
In nextpvr Iâm trying to play videos from folder I highlight folder and push play and it only plays one video can I get nextpvr to play all videos in folder
And second when I play pictures the screen saver comes over top is this normal or a bug
Long time user looking to upgrade. I've lurked periodically when I have gotten itches to upgrade but one of my tuners just went under so I may have a reason to bite the bullet. Is this config possible?

is able to post process to auto-skip commercials?
I have cable service through Cincinnati Bell. According to Bell's site they can provide me a Cablecard.
"We also offer CableCards to our customers to lease just like a set top box. If you have a CableCard enabled device (i.e. Series3 Tivo, Television, Computer), we can provision the card in the device for you to allow service."
