In the old V4 system when you performed a tuner scan it was possible to select the required channels, save the result then import the config file to another tuner (if you had another tuner of the same type attached to NVPVR.)
This made it easy to setup a multi satellite tuner as you only needed so select your required channels for one of the tuners then copy it to the second. (Editing a channel config for a satellite that returns over 800+ channels on a scan is a bit of a pain so I'd like to avoid doing it twice).
Has that capability disappeared with the move to V6 software? I couldn't see a means of exporting / importing the tuner config.
Is there a setting in Config that allows setting the transition time between pictures when using the slideshow feature (i.e. setting the time it dwells on a picture before moving to the next)?
I thought it may have been <SlideshowDelay>8000</SlideshowDelay> but changing that doesn't seem to alter the time it dwells on a picture.
The current dwell time seems fixed at about 8 seconds and I would like to increase that to 12-15 seconds

Are there batch files like ParallelProcessing.bat PostProcessing.bat PostCancel.bat for Live TV (or a config.xml setting to get those to be called for live TV)? I want to prevent hibernation when Live TV starts and re-enable it minutes (not milliseconds) after Live TV stops. I had the NextPVR server hibernate on a kodi reminder automatic channel change today.
During my new build of NPVR I've copied my picture library over to the new system from V4.
I use the library as a slideshow when NPVR is idle.
In the V4 system all the pictures showed with the correct orientation (portrait or landscape). These also showed orientated correctly in the windows Photo application (where they may have been rotated to show correctly previously).
When the new NPVR build goes to slideshow, some of the pictures which should be portrait and now being shown landscape (i.e. rotated 90 degrees).
I assume that the orientation data is not being interpreted correctly by the current NPVR software (and/or different to theV4 system).
I have a 950 plugged into a Dell Optiplex 9020 running windows 10 and NextPVR version 6.1.1.221106
I have had a problem with this setup for a number of years and number of versions of NextPVR.
What happens is that after a few hours or days of use the EPG stops updating. If I login to NextPVR Settings and click Update EPG, then it just sits there doing nothing. The PC is NOT set to go into hibernation/power saving mode.
If I reboot the machine then after NextPVR comes up and finishes initializing I then login and click Update EPG, then it works normally and scans the frequencies and updates the tv guide.
Short of a kludge like rebooting the PC every couple hours, is there any reason that this might be happening?
I have a situation where I have multiple HTPC installations all recording to one NAS storage point.
Each will record and report it's own recoding without fault and, in the situation of multiple instances recording the same data, sort out a hierarchy where one of the recordings will receive a suffix in the same directory structure. This can be dealt with using manual process or a script.
The issue is if HTPC-A creates a valid recording HTPC-B does not see it in the shared data location, and vice versa. You can force it to play using Win Explorer but it would be more acceptable for the HTPC's to scan the directory occasionally and add the meta data and play from GUI.
My questions, in this case, are probably this.
1. Am I missing something in the setup and this is already achievable?
2. Is there some other way of sorting this out?
3. Can I please put in a request or bug report (whichever is more appropriate)?
I can, of course, add log files if needed but do not think they will help in this situation.
i would like to use nextpvr(awesome) with kodi on my firetv. but there's a lot of buffer that is happening not sure why as it's all on local network. i know you would like the logs but, what logs do you want the kodi ones?
Just started the build of a new NPVR server to replace my aging V4 system (and the laborious task of copying 3Tb of file to the new system).
Was testing the NPVR client on my music library. If I play a track then right click on it I get a menu that includes "Mute, Pause and Stop"
Pause and Mute seem to work but if I click on "Stop" nothing seems to happen. The only way to stop playback is to use Ctrl+S.
Is this a bug?
Other question: Is there any way to display mp3 embedded art in the NPVR interface?
When I hit "Update the EPG " it appears to download, but the popup window says "EPG Update complete. [0 inserted, 0 updated, 0 skipped]" I've tried adding different markets and get the same result. I have verified I have the correct SD password saved in nNextPVR and selected the correct app in the SD settings. I'm on my free trial with SD. Not sure if the issue is with SD or NextPVR. I'm a newbie and I just installed NextPVR on Mint 21.
