I have a large MP3 collection all of which has embedded Album Art.

Currently NPVR displays a picture for the track playing based on any .jpg file associated with the folder which contains the mp3 file.

My problem is that where the mp3 file is not part of an album, i have it in a directory I call "Singles". That contains 1000's of music tracks.

The picture that gets displayed therefore has no relevance to the actual music being selected/played.

Would it be possible to get NVPVR to display the embedded art from the actual mp3 instead?

I have my new build set to change the power plan to sleep after 10 mins of no activity from midnight and back to never sleep from 08:00.
Whilst NVPVR prevents sleep during recording (and windows prevents sleep during streaming) I've found the system goes to sleep if I'm using the music player in the NPVR client.
Not sure if it'll do the same if playing video.

Is it possible to get NPVR to prevent sleep if playing video/audio like it does for recordings?

I originally installed nextpvr v4 a few years ago, and I vaguely remember the indiviual tuners of my capture card having their own settings. In v6 when I go to Settings > Devices > then click one of the tuners I see the channels that tuner has assigned then under the Details column I see Freq:,SID, then Encoding. Most of them say MPEG-2 and some say H.264. I'm having bandwidth issues when going over the internet and would like them all to be H.264 but I cant figure out how to change this for the tuners. Any help would be appreciated.

hi, nextpvr has been stable for quite some time, but recently I've been having an issue with recordings being choppy. NOt sure what the issue is yet. hardware hasn't changed, and ota antenna is still in good shape. I'll attach logs and my setup below. I would really like help diagnosing this issue. Sometimes the recording is fine, sometimes it cuts out and skips 10-20 seconds, and at times the recording is pixelated, and then goes back to normal. Moving the recording to a different drive, and playing it using VLC produces the same choppy result. 

Anyway, without furtherer ado, here is my setup. 
Dell Inspirion Desktop with a i7 3770 cpu,
24gb ddr3 ram
NO GPU, only Igpu
2 Hauppauge 2250 tuners + 1 Hauppauge usb 850 tuner
Several Hard drives for recordings of various sizes and manufactures. (sizes from 500gb to 4tb) 
Windows 10 pro 22h2 
Samsung sata ssd for the OS
and a roof mounted ota antenna with a good "channel master" amplifier 
NextPVR 6.1.1.221106  6.1.1.2211066.1.1.221106.

I just pulled out an HDHR Flex and put back an HDHR Extend. Things seem fine, except that my Web app Settings > Devices is cluttered by lines from the previous device, for example, "HDHR HDHomeRun NNNNNNNN-0 (unavailable)". How do I get rid of the 12 "unavailable" entries?

Using backend UI, set up an IPTV Device pointing to https://iptv-org.github.io/iptv/countries/us.m3u. Scanned and found 1669 channels.

What works:
Can access OTA channels through NextPVR backend UI "guide" menu. Can do the same via the RPi client. So I'm confident my OTA realtime playback and recordings work fine.

What doesn't work:
Cannot access any of the IPTV content, neither through the NextPVR backend "guide" menu nor through the client on the RPi. The client message: "One or more items failed to play. Check the log for more information about this message." Trying from backend UI Guide (watch now) get: "Error starting transcode: error: Internal Server Error" along with these 2 lines in kodi.log

Deleted IPTV device, added new
Empty EPG, update EPG
At a high level, network is good: Ping the backend from the frontend
Did "update channels" and save

When I have a recorded program from a FLEX on NextPVR and I select it and then click play NextPVR just closes completely. Any suggetions would greatly appreciated. Thanks

I just did a refresh of my windows and downloaded the latest nextpvr. Now when I try to play a recording the “play box” freezes and I only hear the sound, the only way to close it is ESC button and then it wants to delete because it thinks I watched it. I looked online and it looks like I need a older decoder. The video decoders I have are mpeg: Microsoft DTV-DVD, H264: Microsoft DTV-DVD.
I am not a computer wiz but it looks like might be a challenge to get one. Would it be simpler to install a Linux OS because the only thing I use this for is recording OTA tv? Or will I still have to learn a new computer language?Thanks for any help

I have been running an old version of Nextpvr (4.25) for years without any upgrade because it just worked without any issue.  Excellent software.

Now, the latest Kodi addon for Nextpvr will not work with this old version.  So, I need to upgrade now.

Is there anything that I need to be aware of and any backup/restore needed?

Please advise.
