Anyone know of an inexpensive media streamer that will support comskip cuts? I'm looking to replace an original xbox running xbmc with something capable of playing highdef media.
Father Crimbo is giving my daughter an Ipad this Christmas, before she gets it I wanted to convert a few movies and preload them on the gizmo.
So I'm looking for recommendations\advice for an app that can convert MKV videos to MP4 to play on the Ipad. I've done the obvious thing and google'd the problem, but that just resulted in page after page of 'free' software offers, and I'm betting most of these aren't as free as they say
Things that would be nice in the convertor:-
Batch processing, e.g. queue more than one movie for conversion.
Subtitle conversion is not required.
Windows 7 compatible.
Some of the movies I want to convert are 1080p, so being able to convert to a lower resolution would be useful to keep the file size down.
Free; if possible.
So if anyone has been here, and done it; I would appreciate your advice and any tips on best conversion settings etc. For example: Is it worth keeping the movie at HD resolution if the output display is only 9.x"?
Thanks in advance
P.S. Has anyone given thoguht to doing an Ipad/Android app which can browse the NPVR EPG, and allow simple scheduling of recordings etc?
I upgraded to TV Listings v3.1.1 this morning. Now, when I'm trying to play a recording on my PCH, the mvp server process dies after about 5 minutes of playing. The last entries in the log file indicate that TV Listings was trying to do an update of the TVDBCache. The mvp.log.1 and mvp.log.2 log files in the attached .zip show the same error.
I use ffdshow preset autoload to load different audio settings depending on the media type.
But the presets are only loaded when you first start watching TV - changing channel to one with different audio does not load in the new profile.
As an example, I use a preset to double the volume of HD AC3 channels, but if I then change to an SD channel with mpeg2 audio the same profile is used, giving very loud results! If I stop TV and then select the SD channel, the correct profile is loaded.
I have been told that this is correct behaviour for ffdhsow, as it only loads a profile when a new graph is created, and changing channels does not do this. So is there a setting somewhere to force a direct show reset on channel change:confused:
Working:
- Activate Live TV, and change to whatever channel is first in your EPG
- Bring up the TV Guide as an overlay (F1)
- The green highlight should be over the current programme for the current channel
Not working:
- Now change to any another channel
- Bring up the TV Guide again
- The green highlight is gone (at least until you press up or down; it doesn't show with left or right)
Hi all,
New user here.
I am trying to install NPVR with a Winfast tv2000 XP card for analog channels. Based on the attached filtercheck.log file, I put the following in the AnalogDevices.xml file:
<Device filter="WinFast TV2000 XP WDM Video Capture">
<Name>Winfast TV2000 XP</Name>
<Type>SOFT_ENCODE</Type>
</Device>
Whenever I try to use an analog channel, i get the following error message:
unable to located capture filter's 'analog video in' pin.(2)
I also have an ATI TV WONDER 600 card (which I use for digital channels), and the analog tuner on that card works with npvr, so I assume I installed the required softpvr components correctly.
Also, the winfast card works perfectly with DScaler, both with using the "WinFast TV2000 XP WDM Video Capture" DShow filter and without using directshow.
