I am running both GBPVR and nPVR. When I set a recording in nPVR the channel does not change at recording time. My device is set up as Fixed Channel 3 and it appears to always tune to channel 3 when a recording starts, no matter what channel the recording is set to.
I don't recall having to do anything special for GBPVR. What am I missing?
Is it possible to increase the epg scan time ? I am trying to get the epg for 4 "ABC" channels but I am regularly seeing one with no data. The one with no data changes from day to day. I am guessing the scan time is too short to pull all the data for the ABC. Any other ideas on cause ?
ATI T200 AVStream Analog Capture
ATI TV Wonder Pro A/V Capture
I have both of these cards installed in my system but neither one of these cards are being recognized. What can I do for it to recognize these?
I have this version installed 1.4.7.
XP Pro SP3
AMD Athlon 64, 3200+
Shuttle FN95 v1
nVIDIA nForce3 Ultra, AMD Hammer
ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon 9800 Video Adapter
Harmonics (Conexant) CX2388x Video Capture (MK3) (ATI TV Wonder Pro)
Not sure if this is actually a fault or more like a request for new function in nPVR but...
In my country EPG information is sent in two languages and nPVR is of course picking the wrong language (possibly first sent or something) into program info. Is there any way to set the default language in EPG?
So I received a refurb'ed A-110 the other day and have tried to get it set up... the instructions and dummy guide seem pretty straight forward and I have been able to see the blue screen with the 3 options. But I have been unsuccessful at getting any further than that. When I choose either the 1st or second option I get a "Cannot process request press return" message. Attached is my nmtcheck file.
I do not have simple file sharing turned on, but I have activated the guest account and given it read and write privileges to the mvpmc share.
I just replaced the ATI 550 Pro with this Diamond 650 Pro with digital/Analog tuner. I don't use the digital side here in Canada (no over the HD air channels). I was trying to step up to NPVR which I would like to use but it refuses to recognize the analog tuner. It showed nothing for the 550 which did not have a digital tuner and with the 650 now shows listings for two elements of the digital tuner (ATSC & QAM)
I have read as many posts as possible but there isn't much on the subject. A recommendation about installing the Haupaugge Win7 app, but that doesn't work. The installer gets to the point where it can't find the right hardware then exits.
I have tried extracting the files but have been unable to execute the regsvr32 command either from the run command or the command prompt.
While playing video, both live TV and recordings, I am not able to pause, fast forward or anything. I cant even move the marker in the time bar at the top. The only way I can stop it is to right click and exit.
I have been reading up for a while now on a number of different software and hardware options for building my own PVR. After careful consideration, I believe that GB-PVR is the software I have been looking for. So I finally decided to take the plunge today and I downloaded and installed the GB-PVR software to start "playing" with it.
However (after checking the Config), when I go to launch PVRX2, all I can see is the border of the window, inside the actual window area is transparent and I can see the desktop underneath. It's as if the video is not rendering. I don't see the menu, nothing, just an empty window frame.
So far I have done / tried the following:
I had already installed the vcredist_x86.exe runtime before performing my installation, running the latest version of the installer msi (1.4.7). I am also pretty sure that I have all the required .NET dependencies installed already, as I needed those for something else, as well as all the other requirements and prerequisites.
I tried changing the video renderer from "VMR9 Custom" to everything else in the list (one by one), to no avail.
I tried changing the Aspect Ratio / Televison Shape, to no avail.
I tried changing between both the default "blue" and "Slick" skins that come with the installer, all to no avail.
FWIW, I went through all of the possible permutations of the above three settings in an orderly fashion, but all with the same result (no joy).
I have also searched the forums and googled at length, but couldn't seem to find anything that addresses this particular issue. So I figured I would ask you guys. At this point I am pretty disappointed and frustrated, but hopefully I am overlooking something simple and some helpful soul here can point me in the right direction.
Also, I would like to mention that I don't have a hardware based encoder card installed yet (I plan on ordering an HVR-1600 very soon). Is this my problem? I figured I should be able to at least check out the menus, set up the EPG, and maybe try some plug ins, just of course not watch any TV without a source. But maybe this is my entire problem.
Logs attached. Other specs: WinXP Home SP3, onboard PROSavage S3 video card*, DirectX 9 installed, let me know if any other info is needed.
* After "no hardware capture card installed" this is my second guess as to where the problem may lie. FWIW, I ran directxdiag and all the video tests came out fine. But I could be barking up entirely the wrong tree...
So I hope that wasn't too long winded. And needless to say, any pointers would be greatly appreciated, as I am really excited about the potential that GB-PVR seems to offer!
This is my second trial with nPVR. I'm using the latest beta on a windows 7 64 pc. I stll have GBPVR installed and this works well recording. nPVR is great but I have truble with truncated recordings. I had this problem with the first beta too.
I've attached the log for recording a movie "Sunshine". You can see it starts ok but I can't see it end in the log. Only about 8 and a half minutes actually have been recorded. The movie was about 2 hours long.
For some reason lately a lot of the shows I record will record about 15 minutes of the show and then cut off. 1 hour long shows will have about 17 minutes recorded. Anybody have any idea why this would be happening?
