sub, the last couple of days I have been working to get my DVB-S2 setup to work. After finding out information needed for scanning the channels (http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?37256) I am now working to watch and record HD channels. The shows are recording as expected but the files cannot be watched nor can I watch live TV in HD.
In the Hauppauge forum I have found a thread describing the same problem and there it was assumed that the error lied within the WinTV-CI module (http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=20788). As you see I also put out a request for assistance in that forum.
Attaching logs where I am recording a show and then trying to watch it. In GBPVR the file will not play at all, but playing the file in VLC I can see a picture but it is distorted.
This must be a silly question, but I cannot get postprocessing.bat called by NPVR. I have put it in ........NPVR\scripts directory, but it doesn't get called when a recording finshes. If I run it manually it works fine, but i want an automatic call. I am obviously missing something basic. Help!!

Just discovered an inconvenient, but not fatal exception error in 1.5.28 related somehow to an unimplemented method or operation. It isn't anything critical, but I thought someone should know.
When I am watching a program (windowed), if I roll the mouse wheel while the cursor is focused in window, this brings up an onscreen overlay of the channel information. IF you THEN click the left mouse while still over the window, at that point the exception is generated.
The program does continue ok, and if you hit the <esc> key to clear the overlaid channel information, no further error occurs.
I have zipped the logs created while this went on. Hope they help.
After much reading and investigating I can't seem to find a way to send a PC into hibernate from the PCH remote either through Npvr or native popcorn. Has anyone had any luck with this.
My wish is to press a button on the PCH remote and put the Computer into hibernate mode either straight away or after a couple of minutes.
Thanks for any thoughts.
Dave
Note sure if this is related to my NMT Firmware update to the 13 Aug version or not but in both NPVR and GBPVR shows both in mpg and ts stream automatically speed up and run at their own fast speed on the NMT, as if possessed? The PC seems fine?
Apologies if I have placed this question in the wrong area...
I am currently looking at building a media server that can act as a pvr for both Freeview and BBC/ITV freesat.
My ideal would be to have the media server in the loft with the appropriate tuner cards installed.
Then in each room I wish to watch etc to have another box that gives me access to the media server for not only streaming recorded/live tv from either Freeview or freesat but to gain access to the epg's to setup future recording etc.
Has the world of Media Servers got to the point where I can have tuner cards for both Freeview and freesat installed beside each other or is this just a straight no and never situation ?
The freesat system includes BBC HD and ITVHD, so I would like to know if these can be recorded and streamed in HD to a client by GBPVR.
I'm sorry if this has been asked before in the forums here, but I can't seem to find the answers using the search.
Hopefully someone out there has either done what I am trying to do, or knows the answers...
Getting my feet wet with plugin development by creating a little audio app. I can play audio files from my plugin, and "now playing" shows on the main menu and screen saver, but I have been unable to figure out how to make it appear on my plugin screen. I have browsed the libraries and all the code samples I could find, but nothing has jumped out at me. Is this a skin configuration item, or do I need to add something to my code? Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
When I first switched to NPVR and adopted the off-air EPG I was getting about 5 days of programs. Recently the EPG has appeared empty a couple of times. This happened today so I forced an EPG update and now I have some info but it's patchy with BBC1 only showing about 6 hrs of programs and BBC2 showing some today followed by several hours blank then some programs tomorrow. I'm assuming this is a problem at source but wonder if anyone else is experiencing it?
I have just discovered that whatever I set in the Audio Renderer List - even though config xml is updated - the logs show that the default direct sound filter is loaded.
In GBPVR I was never able to use the default audio renderer as it caused video instability (always the realtek or realtek direct sound - depending on driver version gave good results)
I am finding the same problems at the moment with NPVR - Programs having to be started multiple times to get a picture - jamming on skipping etc.
