  PCH confusion
Posted by: EJCastellanos - 2010-08-18, 06:22 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (6)

Read the survival guide and the dummy guide and I am still confused. Does MVPMCx2 need the NMT software installed? Does the PCH need a hard drive to work with NPVR?

  disable analog tuners, tuner order
Posted by: johnsonx42 - 2010-08-18, 05:14 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

Very minor issue(s) or inquiries:

1. After registering the SoftPVR components to try out FM Radio (no luck, my tuners don't support it), it appears to be impossible to disable the analog tuners; I can uncheck 'Enabled' on both tuners, but it doesn't stick. No big deal of course, I have no channels enabled so they don't get used. But they do show up anywhere tuner status is displayed. I imagine unregistering the softpvr filters again will probably get rid of them as well, but I guess I ought to be able to disable them in settings.

2. I rather liked the GB-PVR tuner order selection, top down for recordings, bottom up for livetv (or was it the other way?). Will this be making a return in NVPR? I suppose there may be plenty of people who prefer both use the same order so perhaps a selectable option to reverse the order for live tv?
Or would that be more coding than it's worth?

Gigabyte GT-P8000 TV card on GB-PVR
Posted by: itayf - 2010-08-17, 09:46 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi!

I have Gigabyte GT-P8000 TV card and I want to use it with GB-PVR.
I understood from reading some posts here that I need to add something to the file bda.ini using the results of running FilterCheck.exe, which appear in FitlerCheck.log (I changed to .txt in order to upload).

Am I right? What do I have to add the bda.ini?
Thanks!
Itay.

Italian channels post and a question about compatibility with Seven 64 bit
Posted by: pinopallino - 2010-08-17, 09:38 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hello to all.
I'm new with GB-PVR (or should I say NPVR? the difference it is not clear to me).
I found that the program do not have a correct configuration for my country channels (Italy).
Below you find the DVB-T configuration for my area (Genoa) and for all channels existing in Italy (at best of my knowledge), I don't know how to send it to development team, if someone could help, other italians who try GBPVR will surely be grateful...

Just a question about GB-PVR and Seven 64 bit. On my system, anytime I want to start live TV I receive a confirmation request from the system, because GBPVR wants to change the system configuration (often more than one request, it seems to make a change, rollover, make another).
The same request return often in other common operations.
Is there any way to disable this strange behaviour? (I don't want to disable UAC).

Thank you in advance.
Pino

NPVR Weather Plugin Name is "Weather"
Posted by: scb147 - 2010-08-17, 05:54 PM - Forum: Weather / Weather2 - Replies (21)

All---

The Weather plugin for NPVR is just about ready for release.

I've had a couple suggestions of names for it, but I'm leaving it up to all of you to decide the name of it.

Is the <ForcedGraphTeardown> parameter implemented in Npvr?

Sub,

Can you tell me if the <ForcedGraphTeardown> parameter is implemented in Npvr, and if so, in which section of config.xml should it be located.

nPVR and DVD playback using FFDshow Audio and Video decoder = black screen
Posted by: hoborg - 2010-08-17, 09:19 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (29)

The question are simple - why it does not work if FFDShow is in use? Playback start, i can hear audio, graph is builded correctly but there is only blackscreen. Tested on Win XP and Win7 - same result.

Yes, it is working with PDVD video decoder, but that is not solution...

FFDshow have some + comparing to PDVD decoder like:

+it is free
+can output MPEG-2 to NV12 (21) = hardware deinterlacing
+crop black borders
+gamma corection to make black=black (not gray)
+no problems with DVD navigation (highlighted buttons if EVR is in use on Vista/Win7) = no need to use Line 21 decoder

This solution working great in most of other player like MPC-HC, MediaPortal, etc... but not in nPVR.

  npvr too big on screen
Posted by: dave.t - 2010-08-17, 03:11 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (4)

Hi folks.
I uninstalled NPVR and the folders and then reinstalled it. It works fine on the PC but through the popcorn the screen is to big for the TV. I did not change any settings on the popcorn side of things. The screen size was correct before I uninstalled NPVR.
In the startmeup file it is set as 1080p on the A100
In NPVR UI resolution is set to Auto.
In NPVR config where the MAc address for the a100 is, it is set for 1920 * 1080.
Is there another area I have missed?
thanks
Dave

Jamming on record functions .. 1.5.28
Posted by: chalkster99 - 2010-08-16, 11:39 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (13)

Anyone else getting jamming on actions in the record window or settings recordings in 1.5.28 ? Im getting these in this release.
If I set a recording (either quick or long way) it jams the whole exe required a manual kill. Yet on re-entry it has set the record in place in the database. Same thing happens when deleting a recording in the recordings screen. This is a consistent and replicate-able thing. Logs attached , bit dont think they show much.
edit : note 2 versions of the nextpvr.exe active. The NRecord seems inactive as memory sticks solid..
