  FM Radio
Posted by: ShiningDragon - 2010-07-12, 01:12 AM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

Hey sub Big Grin

I beg you: Please integrate the FM Radio function. This one is for me important and a must have for any MediaCenter. It's not for the music... i don't like hear music via radio, it's the news and culture channels. I love my pcs. I love my mediacenters. And of course i love your PVR Software.

So it`s no wonder, that the mediacenters are running the whole day at home. And for breakfast it's just a must go to listen to radio. Big Grin

Please, please, please dear sub, bring back my lovely fm radio. ^.^ (a basic function would be enough, station entering one time manuell via notepad into a xml, recording isn't needed).

Vista machine won't sleep with nPVR
Posted by: soccerdad - 2010-07-11, 11:44 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

My Vista box won't sleep with nPVR now. Anyone else have this issue? It used to sleep fine, but now it won't, even with the network cable unplugged. I tried stopping the recording service for a test, but that did not help. I don't have anything scheduled to record. My XP machine sleeps fine. It might just be a coincidence, but wanted to know if anyone else has seen this.

UPDATE: I found some strange windows stuff was going on and fixed it. It was NOT a nPVR issue (as you all probably expected). She is sleeping like a baby now.

  Start NPVR always on top?
Posted by: siliconaudio - 2010-07-11, 11:12 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

Once NPVR is launched, you can right-click and choose that it always stays on top. What would be great is a command-line switch that could be used when starting NPVR which would do the same thing. I.e.

Code:
NPVR.EXE /ONTOP
.

Any chance this could be done at some stage?

Seemingly regularly updated DVB-S transponder lists
Posted by: martint123 - 2010-07-11, 09:45 PM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Not sure which sub forum (if any) this belongs in....

While browsing, I came across a website that keeps an up to date satellite transponder list for various bits of software. Near the bottom are the generic zipped up ini files that look like they could drop right into g/n-pvr as transponders come and go. I'll try to do a scan with the standard ini file and then the new one to see if any channels have been found or lost and report tomorrow. (for Europe, the " Ku-Band Linear" would appear to be the standard one).

Plugins appearing with small case names
Posted by: imilne - 2010-07-11, 05:22 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (3)

Here's something I've noticed with a few VM tests and fresh installs:

I'm working on a duplicate of GBPVR's System plugin, which I've named "System" in its GetName() method.

After dumping its DLL in Plugins\System it shows up in NPVR's settings dialog as "system" (with a small 's'), both in the plugin list, and in the bit where you can enable/disable it.

If I restart, then it appears in the app's main menu as "system", but looking at settings again, it's now there as "System" (unticked) and "system" has gone. After reticking it, it then seems ok from then on, and appears in the main menu as "System".

Is this expected behaviour at the moment, or is there something else I need to be doing?

  Couple of requests
Posted by: imilne - 2010-07-11, 03:41 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (5)

Put a test version of NPVR on my main HTPC today, which also meant my wife has spent some time trying it out too. She has a couple of requests Rolleyes

Will the mini-guide be making a return? With GBPVR, We actually use a slightly customized version of it that makes it identical to the main guide, but overlaid on the picture. Be hard to live without it now.

Could an option be added to reverse the up/down order for the now 'n' next feature? So you could press down to go up a channel. Why? Well as an example... BBC2 comes after BBC1 in the order and in the guide, and it felt wrong to her to be pressing "up" to move to the next channel "down" as seen in the guide (even though logically it's a higher number).

IR fails -- Dual Hauppauge Tuner
Posted by: jackyl - 2010-07-11, 03:40 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Looking to see if anyone has set up dual Hauppauge tuners and gotten the IR remote working. With one card (PVR350) the IR initializes. With a second card (PVR250) added, the IR will not initialize. I get an error saying that the infrared remote failed to initialize. Starting my search for a solution, but thought I'd throw the question out here.

Update EPG with XMLTV data doesn't work
Posted by: next - 2010-07-11, 08:44 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (9)

I'm executing Settings > Channels > Update EPG. This finishes suspiciously fast but without any error message. No data get's imported, TV Guide stays empty.

They same XMLTV data file get's imported by GBPVR correctly.

When I was setting up the Analog Recorder Device I could import the same XMLTV file to get the list of channel names, in the correct order.

What's wrong?

This is with NVPR 1.5.24 on W7 32-bit.

Bug? : Uninstall doesn't appear to do a proper job.
Posted by: peter_h - 2010-07-11, 07:08 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (1)

I ran Filmerit after uninstalling both NPVR & GBPVR.
I get a number of errors.

1) NPVR MP3 Reader is still registered, but with a missing Server File.

Now I don't know whether this next one was caused by the uninstallation, as I've been having alot of trouble with getting an HD h.264 codec to play .TS files properly, so have been uninstalling and reinstalling lots of things. So this may not be a NPVR/GBPVR uninstallation issue, but thought I'd mention it:
2) Enhanced Video Renderer has a missing Server File.

I'm assuming error 2) might be rather important for me to fix...or not?
