When I look at the list of recordings, the recording date and time is correctly displayed.

However, when I look at the detail of a single recording, the displayed recording date and time is 7 hours earlier than when it actually occurred.

At first I thought it was the displaying GMT time of the recording, but then I realized GMT time would be 7 hours LATER. Seems like it's getting a time value that's already local, and then mistakenly applying the GMT-7 correction again.

Is there a simple utility for converting the TS recordings I"m getting from GBPVR with an HVR2250 card - to MPEG 2 without rerendering. I can't seem to fine one...

I'm using GBPVR 1.3.11 (yes I know, time to upgrade. That's coming... one thing at a time), and I'm having some trouble with DVD playback. I have a DVD that a friend made for me from a DVR of some kind. It is a standard DVD (MPEG-2 audio and video streams. G-Spot confirms this). The disc plays fine on the GBPVR box with media player and VLC, but in GBPVR I get distorted video (compressed to about 1/2 height with a white flashing bar across the bottom 1/3rd of the screen). In the GBPVR config all of the DVD video and audio playback options are set to Default (in the case of video decoder DEFAULT is the only option available). I assume I'm lacking some DVD playback software or something, but I'm not sure what. Like I said, VLC and Media Player handle the DVD disc just fine, and GSpot says I have the proper codecs installed.

Any advice?

please may I first make this comment, which is not to drift off topic for this thread

I always knew from the release of 'N-PVR' that anyone taking up the idea for creating a wiki for it would be up for some question and answers sessions, and I am! But be gentle..... unless you are going to help create a new wiki from scratch, in which case just say 'that's my job' 'f***' off and quite honestly I might!

Please do not EVEN bother responding unless you've spent your time looking at the other threads in documentation etc about a new wiki.... (and I do know that I'm a bit rubbish myself for looking through threads sometimes, sorry Martin!)

• I would suggest keeping with pmwiki as the wiki engine, but upgrading it to the latest engine, and perhaps with a few more recipes to enhance it even better?
  

• I would suggest that at least 4 of us (no more than 6) were enabled as admin to grant wiki publication rights to those that wished to publish to the wiki. (Should anyone get bored of this job they could pass on the mantle to those they thought could carry this on) And please read this correctly, this is admin, we used to ask blader for publication access anyway.
  

• The list of 'Link Navs' would be locked by admin and only decided by admin with consultation to enhance the wiki nav experience, in the past the fact that navigation links could be added by anyone I think helped to make the wiki a little more confusing than it should have been.
  

Two steps forward and 1 step back (dvb-s and dvb-t now working for me, but analogue still playing up).

AFAIK I have set the tuner up properly, but when it comes to viewing I just get snow.

Logs and a couple of screen grabs. Analogue channel 22 selected for BBC1.

I was hoping to start a discussion on where we, as a community, might go with the current GBPVR webpage and wiki and the possibly of a nPVR webpage and wiki.

I'll start with my 2c. At the start of the year I had a pop at designing and putting together a new webpage to replace the current one. Around the same time myself and steeb were discussing updating the current wiki with a new modified theme (using the same colour palette as the new webpage). Now with nPVR on it's way and people discussing a separate wiki for nPVR. I thought it might be a good opportunity to start a discussion on perhaps tackling GBPVR and nPVR's web presence altogether.

Here's what I think is completely do-able from a community pointy of view (with sub's blessing obviously - I just think we can take care of it so he doesn't have to worry about it).

• Replace the current webpage and update the wiki with a new look.
  
• Based on those, we add a nPVR webpage and wiki - with a slightly different colour scheme to differentiated it.
  

• The new webapge is pretty much ready to go, I would just have to modify the colour scheme to fit better with gbpvr's default skin.
  
• I've tinkered with the pmwiki skins a little and I think, with the help of more experienced heads, we could easily modify one of the free templates to match the webpage colour scheme.
  

• A confirmation on the name
  
• A logo
  
• A confirmation on the default skin nPVR will use - from there I can put together a complimentary colour scheme.
  
• Content, for both the webpage and the wiki.
