This is my first time trying WebRadio; I downloaded and installed the 3.1 base and the 3.0 add-on file today. Everything looked fine when it installed, but I get a .net exception as soon as I select WebRadio from the NPVR main menu, as in the attached file.
Did I miss something on the install? It looked like all there was to do was run the installer.

edit: nothing appears in the NPVR log other than "Init WebRadio". Is there a log somewhere for WebRadio I should provide?

First I'd like to say I am liking the new program so far compared to gbpvr. Especially considering I was having a lot of trouble getting gbpvr to work with my hauppage HD-PVR IR blaster, and this works now Thanks for all your hard work sub.
Currently I'm using a dual monitor setup. The monitor I am running NPVR on is a 16:10 monitor with a 1680x1050 resolution. I set the aspect ratio in settings to 16:10 but that didn't seem to effect anything. The resolution choices don't seem to include 16:10 settings. I tried to manually set the resolution in the config.xml but I'm not sure if that had any effect.
Additionally with NPVR in fullscreen mode on the second monitor the program is stretched onto my main monitor slightly and I can't find a way to fix this. Probably the biggest issue I have right now.
The program seems to automatically start in "fill" mode which for me stretches the picture a bit when watching TV. Not sure if theres a way to solve that or if I have to just change it every time.
Lastly is there a list of hotkeys anywhere? I was trying to figure out how to change the volume. :o
How about a plugin writer, or a group of plugin writers make a plugin that automatic scans the EPG after each update (or at a scheduled time) looking for "shows of interest". The user must give the plugin some keywords to be found in title, subtitle or description of the show, or some phrases to look for. The plugin then makes a list of suggestions that the user can browse through and select for recording or dismiss.
Building in some AI in this plugin, it can store as many keywords as possible that itself finds in show description and make a rank of what keywords (or phrases) that most often is found in shows actually selected by the user, and give them a ranking. Using these keywords in the following searches the plugin gets more and more clever at selecting shows the user really wants.
Here in the Minneapolis area I started seeing the Comcast banners about a month ago. I've been busy at work and haven't been following much chatter on the forums here, so I did some research and it appears there are many unhappy campers (Comcast customers) screaming extortion about the switch to digital and the new requirement of rented Comcast channel changers if you want anything more than local stations.
It's funny, with as capable as the NMTs currently are and the TVs themselves are becoming, I was beginning to think my PVR system may eventually just fade away. This channel changer issue seems to put a centralized PVR system right back front-and-center.
So my question is, what are others doing/planning for this switch to digital? I still am using analog tuners (PVR 500) and was considering the HVR 2250. Has anyone had success getting this to work with a Comcast cable box/channel changer (or a pair of them) with GBPVR or NPVR? What else have people had good success with? Are there cleaner solutions?

Any chance there is more epg data from the free to air. eg rating (pgr, g, a) This would be great when you click on the program you want to see if it is child friendly or not.

So far am impressed with NPVR (don't mind the name, don't mind that it's a beta and things are not 100% etc). is good work Sub - massive potential as it seems to be much 'lighter'.
After setting up, i can't get UK DVB-T to work and not sure where the BDA GBPVR equivalent folder is? I have updated Wintel Hill settings but not sure if they'll work with NPVR or where to put them?
Also, the menu animation seems a bit jerky? If this is expected, then not a problem but it was something I saw in GBPVR then PVRX2 after the PC had been up for a few days and a reboot would sort it (I could even gauge uptime of the PC depending upon the menu animation which was quite handy sometimes!!!). NPVR seems to have jerky menus from the off!
Also, my PVR150 isn't detected but have seen a thread about that somewhere.

My server currently does not have an optical drive so I can't test this easily.
Will the DVD menu item in NPVR extend to MVPMCX2 to play DVD's?
If not, is this technically feasible in the future? Additionally, It would be cool to be able to add a BluRay ROM to the server and watch BR.

I know that the last version of gbpvr inadvertently got out of the door with season recordings having "left side substring matching" (for want of a better phrase) and this seemingly was not as intended.
However, it turns out to be quite useful in most cases (for me) but a nuisance for others.
What is N-PVR's action supposed to be and is there any chance of some form of wildcard matching in the pipeline? (still not in a position to find out myself yet ;( )
