  UltraXML never finishing
Posted by: scb147 - 2010-07-06, 12:50 PM - Forum: ZTools and UltraXMLTV - Replies (11)

For the last couple weeks, UltraXML has not been finishing up during my nightly update, which causes my listings to never get updated.

I have manually had to kill the UltraXML task myself, so my GBPVR listings can be updated. In the _app.log file, here is the last couple entries. Seems like it is always getting stuck on "Writing out lists...":

Code:
7/6/2010 3:26:52 AM :1> Writing File... 7/6/2010 3:26:57 AM :1> Complete Parsing XMLTV file. 7/6/2010 3:26:57 AM :1> Committed. Deleting original and moving new in place... 7/6/2010 3:26:57 AM :1> Writing out lists...

Also, the titles for my movies has been adding an extra ".". For example, here is the original XMLTV listing:
Code:
<title lang="en">The Silence of the Lambs</title>
And here is the enhanced:
Code:
<title lang="en">The Silence of the Lambs.(4*)</title>
I don't know how, and I don't even see anyplace where I can manually add an extra period for this situation. And it started on its own, as I never touched my settings.

"Request Cannot be processed" error message
Posted by: TK12 - 2010-07-06, 02:10 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (12)

I am a user of GBPVR with a MVP and thought I would try out a refurbished PCH-A110. I used NMTInstall to set it up and received the "Request Cannot be processed" error message. I read all the threads I could find on the subject, checked the share name, installed new firmware, tried NMTChecker (which gives me a "Application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy..." error message". Any ideas on what I can try next?

Thanks,
Tom

Auto Converting TS Files To MPEG2 Not Working
Posted by: skycyclepilot - 2010-07-06, 12:54 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

In the Processing tab, in Config, I have GBPVR set to auto convert TS recordings to MPEG2, but it never happens.

What might I be doing wrong?

Really liking NPVR.... Trying to build a chopped down PVR with a single Twinhan DVBS card but can't get it to scan. Error in log is 'FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: MainConcept (HCW) MPEG Multiplexer-Plus.' Have I missed registering something? The tuner works in ProgDVB. Log attached; Thanks

Newer DVD's wont play, but older ones will.
Posted by: jthom86 - 2010-07-05, 06:09 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

This is a new install from scratch and my older dvd's play fine. But newer ones(probably CSS) ones won't. I get no audio or video. The logs aren't really telling me what is happening, only beginning to play dvd from the appropriate drive letter. I have the audio & video set at system default, but have tried every other option i have. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Problem with audio on livetv play, but not in recording?
Posted by: hexibot43 - 2010-07-05, 05:00 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hello All,
I tried searching for this and couldn't find the answer. I know it is here, but I just can't seem to find it. I've got three different tuners in my system. The hdhomerun, pvr-500, and lastly hd-pvr. The first two tuners are working perfectly. I have suddenly lost the audio when playing livetv on the hd-pvr. If I make a recording it works perfectly. I remember having this problem when I first got the hd-pvr. I was reading about it on the forum, and found the answer. I can't seem to find it again. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I have been changing over to using xmltv instead of directly using schedules direct, and while I was doing this lost audio for some unexplained reason. It was working last week. I didn't change any of my settings beside that. The rendering all says system default accept for H.264 says CoreAVC video decoder. I just tried changing my aac audio decoder to system default. It was set to ffdshow audio decoder. That didn't work either. I swear it was the change to ffdshow audio decoder that fixed it in the past. Thanks for any help...

- Another thing I noticed is that suddenly gbpvr has suddenly changed the order of tuner choices. It now picks the hd tuner first? Before it was picking the SD tuner first. The order of tuners in the capture source list hasn't changed???

Won't Boot with Both Video Card and Capture Card Installed
Posted by: mikeh49 - 2010-07-05, 04:12 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (8)

Need some help.

I'm assembling a PVR test box with an ATI 650 PCI capture card and a Radeon 9600 video card. Had both of these running fine on an old Foxconn/AMD XP2000 motherboard. When I moved them to a newer ECS motherboard with a Sempron 2800, it will not POST if both cards are installed (long beep and no BIOS screen). It will POST as long as either card is not present. I tried two power supplies, one 385W and one 400W, same results (they were running fine on the 385W in the old box). Could this be anything but power? Could the cheapo ECS board have such poor on-board regulation that it can't handle the load? This ECS board was the main PVR for several years running a PVR150 and the Radeon 9600 with no problem, but with a different 400W power supply.

Thoughts?

  Keyword Search for Recordings
Posted by: XJW - 2010-07-05, 12:00 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (12)

Sub,

I know the question has been asked before but are there any plans to include an option for recording based on keywords as was available in XRECORD ?

Now that XRECORD has gone I am not aware of any other options for this functionality. I know that EWA can be used for this if you are using a web interface but its likely fairly common for your users to use NPVR as a standalone PVR operated with a remote.

Is anyone aware of another option for recordings based on keyword search that can be operated with a remote ?

Regards
XJW

  no metadata for new recordings?
Posted by: johnsonx42 - 2010-07-05, 07:59 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (6)

I sometimes need to look at my recordings via Videos instead. I notice that all new recordings created with NPVR display no metadata, but all those created with GB-PVR do have it.

Is this intentional, a bug, or just not implemented yet?
