Under the cover view for the videos library, is the data from a .xml file supposed to show up on the default skin? I get the video details when in list view but don't see an image and I can see the image in cover view but it does not show the movie details.
I've just had to add a PVR500 into my server as I'm missing a DVBT mux at my new house and want to get a few channels from analogue now to fill in.
All the DVB channels have always played fine on the PC client via file sharing, but the new analogue channels are stop-start stuttering and are unwatchable.
They work fine in streaming mode, but filesharing mode has been my prefered option until now.
I've tried increasing livetvpredelay to 5000 in both the client and server, and also lowered the quality in the PVR500 capture source set up - neither did anything.
The analogue channels play fine in the server in both live preview and timeshift mode.
NPVR 1.5.21 apparently installs OK on my Win7 64-bit machine, but I only see the icon in the tray. When I right-click on it, I do not see the "settings" menu. The NextPVR.exe process shows up OK in the task manager, and the service is running. I tried your alternate NUtility, but that did not fix it. http://forums.gbpvr.com//attachment.php?...1276653809
Also, when I tried to "ReRegister filters", all I got was a series of error messages that the modules would not load, though I don't know if that is related to the first problem or not.
Thank you so much for bringing back VMR7. I couldn't get vmr9 to play as smoothly on my old single core XP machine. Playback of H264 files is great and I get hardware acceleration with my nvida board. However, when I playback a .mpg file, I'm not getting hardware acceleration. Currently using the nvidia purevideo decoder for .mpg content and the cyberlink h264 decoder for .m2ts (h264) content.
BTW, does anyone have problems with .ts playback with a .h264 and 5.1 ac3 in npvr/gbpvr. I don't seem to get true 5.1, its more like 5.1 downmixed to 2.0 and then played back at 5.1 speakers. The center channel dialog is spread over all 5 speakers. If I play the .ts file with media player classic or windows media player 10, it works just fine. Also, if i remux the file into a .m2ts and play that file, the audio is just fine in npvr/gbpvr and WMP. Currently using cyberlink 7 audio decoder, but have also tried ac3filter with the same results.
One other thing, (you probably already know this) if I set the recording option to new style then set the startup option to pending, it doesn't stay that way on the following npvr restarts.
I'm trying to view these files in the video library but the screen goes blank for a split second and then goes back to the menu. I am able to play them in windows media player fine but not in npvr. I've changed to all the different decoders available but none seem to work. Not sure what else to try. Thanks.
edit: These are files created by a digital camcorder that I copied over the the PC.
Recently got a cheap MCE remote from eBay and want to setup my logitech harmony 555 remote to control npvr. Obviously my no name far east remote isn't listed in the logitech database.
Can anyone help and name a few makes and models of MCE remotes that are proven to work with npvr?
In NPVR, I find my Twinhan DVB-S tuners are a little slow to get started. If I just hit Live TV, I get a reassuring little "...please wait..." dialogue box that tells me the system hasn't hung, it's just getting it's act together.
On the other hand, if I go to the guide first, choose a programme to watch, and then hit "Watch", that same little "...please wait..." dialogue box does not show and I don't get that same warm fuzzy feeling.
May I suggest that NPVR shows the same dialogue box from the TV Guide while waiting to start streaming live tv that it does when launched from the Live TV menu?
With GBPVR, I could simply type in a channel number to change channels. To do this in NPVR, I need to hit a number followed by the enter key. This makes changing channels from a remote a real pain.
How can I change channels with the number keypad on my remote without the need to hit the enter key?
I have been trying to get this tuner card working with GBPVR and I have found that if I use the KNC One TV Station settings plugged into the direct .ini I can tune all our local analog TV stations with the Tuning Assistant but I cannot get any audio. (we do not have digital broadcasts yet). Plugging yhe channels into the TV guide and then trying to watch Live TV results in a blank screen.
I attach the following information in a file and would appreciate any help thank you

It has been spotty, but I cannot get sound to work with any decoder. The eAAC setting always reverts to disabled. What am i missing? Currently, sound doesnt work with recordings or on live tv.
