Hi, I'll be swapping across to nvpr in a release or so (client mode required etc), but in the meantime I thought I'd see if anyone had a simple solution to a problem I've had for a while - when I use filmstrip mode in Video Library (either in sub's blue or my modified CS4 skin), sometimes the image is fine, and sometimes it is extremely pixilated. It looks as if it is blowing up a cached thumbnail rather than using the actual image. If I exit out of the library and then re-enter, or simply cycle through the library modes, the image will usually change back to the high quality one, but other random movies have changed. If there is a simple setting change required etc, I would be delighted to hear it

DVB-S fine with the update.

Sadly I am still getting the hangup with DVB-T scanning with an exception if OK or Cancel clicked. Have to kill it with task manager end task.

I ran gbpvr config just after the attempt with npvr and enclose the logs in case they show anything odd with the data received?

Despite rebooting a couple of times under 1.5.19 my MVP continued to use the MVPMC dongle with mixed results - mainly playing older .mpg recordings and music library stuff. Having installed 1.5.21, after a couple of crash outs I rebooted and it has reverted to a Hauppauge dongle. Any recommendations? Thanks

I've updated the installer at http://www.gbpvr.com/NPVRSetup.exe.

If you're upgrading from 1.5.19, you need to make sure you stop the NRecord.exe/NTray.exe/NextPVR.exe processes prior to running the installer. In future releases I'll make this automatic, but thats not the case yet.

- window size and position now remembered between runs of the application.
- added a setting screen for selecting which plugins are visible in the main menu. (I expect to do more work in the future to allow reordering etc, but this is at least a start)
- added mechanism for plugins to provide a configuration form. The plugin needs to implement the NUtility.IPluginConfiguration interface, then the framework will call the GetSettingsPage() interface to get an instance of the form it can use. The form returned should be a form with no frame, derived from NUtility.SettingsPage. This base class has a SaveSettings() method which can be overriden by the plugin to save the configuration.

I just installed GBPVR and everything looks great but i have one problem, when i make changes in the config menu they are not getting applied to the interface, this is a problem as i store my media on external drives which aren't being picked up unless i configure the settings to do so.

I have just re installed my vista home basic and it is fully updated.

i am aware that this maybe something very obvious but i have searched the forums and the wiki but can't see what i am doing wrong, thanks for any help or advice....

Maybe one day, when i am fully conversant with it i could return the favour.

So if I have channel 2 (sd) and 2.1 (hi-def), how does that work with the channel guide? does gb-pvr merge them and then record from the best source available?

I've been successfully using DVBGuide to generate DVB-S XMLTV data - see my earlier post.

But....

n-PVR is not always updating the data when scheduled to do so.

My channel mapping sets two epg data sources;

DVB EPG for my DVB-T card

&

XMLTV for my DVB-S cards

If I manually update the EPG Data from the settings - channels page I get all the right show info.

When n-PVR updates at a scheduled time I get DVB EPG data but all show info from XMLTV sources is blank with no show data.

Seems odd when the scheduled setting is using the same XMLTV data and settings as the manual update?

Any ideas please??

Have been doing a bit of testing of this beta and have found the following:

nPVR doesnt save the device setup if the LOF Switch is set to 0.

For the diseq multiswitch i use - the LOF Switch value will be either 0 or 22000.

Optus D1 in my case is 10700 / 22000 / 10700 - this does save and i can scan successfully

Optus D2 in my case is 10700 / 0 / 10700 - this never saves and never scans successfully.

nPVR effectively wipes all those settings and when i next go into the device setup again - everything is 11300 / 11300 / 11300 (note the LOF Switch is 11300).

Also i cant seem to get nPVR to save multiple satellites when i use the diseq 1.x A/B/C/D under type specific settings.

Hope this helps others - maybe just test the parameters under the single lnb option - and wait for the next build maybe for this to be resolved
