DXVA Still not working whats going on!
Posted by: nptech - 2010-06-13, 09:49 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Windows XP - Latest Updates
ATI Radeon HD 4350 with latest driver and (catalyst package)

Latest version of Gb-PVR

tried powerdvd codec, tried MPC codec (DXVA not enabled)

Tried EMR and overlay can't use another other as apparently my os doesnt support...

Whats going on here, I have tried other codec and had ffshow installed at one stage, uninstalled, am I going to be able to correct this with XP version of windows and without reinstalling? This is very poor supprt in the way this works, going to check to see if I can use media player or another player to use HD H.264 hardware acceleration now I think might just be through GB-PVR but not 100% sure yet.

please post, email me back, this sounds like a common problem

Viewing World Cup on MVP w/o any live tv ?
Posted by: Dave72 - 2010-06-13, 03:12 AM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Is there any solution for watching net streams with media extenders yet ?

Ive been just dLing podcasts and other video files to watch out in the living room on the MVP. We have no LiveTV.
The wife would like to watch the England matches in the Cup, and of course its streamed by multiple sources on the net (typically flash, but some proprietary viewers as well).
Is anyone playing with something that works for netstream->MVP ?

Otherwise, I guess Ill try to record the streams (or dL the match afterward) and play it like that.

Thx for any tips

X-setup-pro gone bust - Free download and activation.
Posted by: martint123 - 2010-06-12, 11:05 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (4)

One of those registry tweakers with a more human interface. (a bit like an extended tweakui ??).

X-Setup-Pro allows you to configure/mess with over 1800 settings, covering all aspects of Windows.

Sadly WUG - the company that created X-Setup Pro - has gone bust.

However, as a result they've made X-Set-Pro free and there's now a serial number on their home page - www.x-setup.net - that you can use to register the program.

Get more info about X-Setup-Pro and download the latest and last version from www.majorgeeks.com/download4083.html

  NMT Syntax check
Posted by: dslowik - 2010-06-12, 03:02 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (4)

I've been primarily using one NMT (PCH) and finally got around to running cables for the second one. They both work using the network browse method, but I was going to change them over to make it auto load based on the scripts Jaggy put on the wiki. Before doing that I decided to run the NMT Checker on both IP's to make sure everything was ok and that I didn't mess anything up. I noticed that when putting in one IP, it makes it further than the other. Attached is the output from each run and also my config.xml.

Thanks,
David

How To Move GBPVR To D: Drive
Posted by: LewE - 2010-06-12, 01:11 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

This is being posted in anticipation of the next release of GBPVR.

I am running Windows 7 x64 and currently have GBPVR installed on the C: Drive. When the new version comes out I want to install it on my D: drive. I have no intent of keeping the C: version other than as a safety net with my bat files and changes I have made to skins etc. Once everything is up and running without problem I would delete the DEVNZ directory from the C: drive.

My question is do I have to uninstall GBPVR from the C: drive before putting the newer release on the D: drive? If so, I will copy the DEVNZ directory elsewhere so I have copies of all relevant the files.

Are there other things I will need to uninstall? like plugins or utilities, etc?

I'm just trying to do a little planning in anticipation of the new release.

Recordings can't fast forward and are 23 hours long
Posted by: punksux - 2010-06-11, 02:58 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I recently changed mt tv tuner card to an ATI HD 650 pcie and reinstalled GBPVR 1.4.7. I am recording only digital channels. It records a show, and it looks great, but I cannot skip forward while playing back. I tried playing back in Media Player Classic and it just freezes. If I play it in XBMC it will either not skip and continue playing or it will cancel the playback. It also is reporting the length of the show as longer time than it actually is (mostly 23 hours long). I have tried using Full TS and TS Mux and get the same result. With my old tuner card I would get this when using Full TS, but it worked great with TS Mux.

I have attached my logs. I have only recorded 3 shows since I got this new card, and they have all had this problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

HVR 1600 There is sound but no picture ? config problem?
Posted by: frank532 - 2010-06-10, 06:07 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Hi!

I just bought a brand new Hauppauge OEM HVR 1600 (ATSC/NTSC) tv tuner card two weeks ago!
I'am using it with Windows XP (Home) , DirectX 9.0c, .NET Framework 3.5 sp1

I didn't buy yet my digital ASTC antenna! So I'am trying to configure my analog TV (NTSC - Canada) !

I have sound but no picture (image) ?
but When I'am using TuningAssistant.exe I can see the picture without any problem!!
I only want to tune (analog) local channels around my house!

Here's my actual configuration:

Capture Source ::
1) AnalogTV
* Recording source : Analog recording plugin --->> settings ---->> Hauppauge HVR 1600 Analog
Country : Canada
Board number : Capture device #1
Source : internal Tuner
Tuning : Antenna

* EPG Source : none

* Channel Changer : No channel changer required!!

but I can hear sound but can't see picture !!??
What I'am doing wrong?

Thank you!

Want to start using a NMT or Hauppauge Media device. Suggestions?
Posted by: hexibot43 - 2010-06-10, 05:31 AM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (9)

We finally just bought a house, and have moved in. I'd really like to just have a big screen tv in the living room with one simple device hooked to our network instead of a whole pc. I was thinking about just using a pc before but our living room looks so nice. I want to keep all the computer stuff out of it. I see that we are getting very close to a new version of GB-pvr, but haven't had enough time to figure out what that will really mean. I want to just have a device with remote that has two things an hdmi cable out to the tv and an ethernet cable in from my network. What does everybody think is going to be the best way to go with one of these devices thinking of the future of course?

Thanks,

Mab

  Is it worth supporting MusicLibrray
Posted by: mvallevand - 2010-06-09, 09:52 PM - Forum: Recording2, MusicLibrary2, SystemStatus Support - Replies (50)

Given that only 13 people downloaded the last update to ML3 in 4 months I guess I am trying to decide if it is worth supporting MusicLibary into the future.
