I have the movie and the series based of a movie on DVD and have imported them into NextPVR. Currently they are under the same group, is it possible to have the series and the movie under different groups, hopefully with out giving them different names?

Hi! I am using a Debian variant, Raspberry Pi OS
Two questions
Now that it is installed, the daemon or service or whatever seems to be running 24/7. How do I shut this down temporarily? I was looking in the web interface but didn’t come across the button yet, my apologies if I overlooked it
And, can I run the service on an as needed basis instead even if it’s tedious? I don’t have things working with it fully yet , but do not wish to uninstall it. I don’t need it communicating with any of my services while I’m not actually using it, so I’d rather it not run until it’s working properly

Hello, there!
I am using Raspberry Pi OS, with a Raspberry Pi 400.
I got NextPVR installed and it has connected to my first sample server. The channels appear in the web interface and groups etc, only thing that doesn’t work is the guide, there is no information on all entries unfortunately
Then I installed the NextPVR add on for KODI, but it does not appear to be working. No channels import , nothing is available inside any of the menu entries. Here is the log: https://dpaste.com/28ZZ83EME
Thanks very much in advance for your assistance
Edit - got the EPG working! Didn’t realize I had to manually click the Update EPG button in web interface. Getting close here, let’s just figure out why the add on won’t work in KODI now!
Newbie here, with a fresh windows (10 home) install here in the US. The back end found my HdHomeRun and I was able to find channels for all 3 tuners, and pull a schedule from Schedules Direct.
But when I run the client, if I try to watch TV (either from the TV Guide or by selecting live TV), I get a perpetual "...please wait...", accompanied by roughly five second of audio (this is repeatable) and then silence. I never see video.
Any idea of what to try next? Logs attached.
(I've seen reference to log flushing and 'debug' logging level, but I did not see where to set these - hopefully my log zip contains something useful). Where are those settings?
thanks in advance,
-lr
Aside - the HdHomeRun is working fine - I can watch TV directly from it, and the aging Windows Media Center setup I'm planning to replace still works.
Hi all, new to the forums and new to this software!
Just wondering if there is any addons, plug-ins, or some way I am unaware of to add Stalker/Ministra and MAC based IPTV portals. Here in Toronto where I’m from very few services use M3U or Xtreme Codes anymore
Every weeknight I record the local NBC news, and I have the timer set to extend an additional 31 minutes for the national newscast. I have been doing this for years.
Since upgrading to v6 (from v4) a couple of weeks ago (to allow me to run Kodi v20) I have had a very odd glitch in this recording every night.
At right about the 48 minute mark into the recording, the tuner switches from NBC to CBS. The video stumbles. loops. and otherwise misbehaves. The audio also glitches, with sometimes one or two very loud noises and looping as well.
When I pause the recording. the time counter (in Kodi) will show multiple incorrect or crazy numbers. for example. -43:50:51 / 1:01:00 - (which the second part is correct. as the timer is set to record for 61 minutes total. The timer then just basically aborts.
Hi folx, I've only been using NextPVR for a few months, since I had to switch to Win 10 and lost WMC. I use an old SiliconDust HDHomerRun Dual tuner.
I like it overall but every now and again I get an unforced error, like last week where I had 4 records fail one night with the dreaded error:
[Failed: No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal.]
Had that happen a couple times back when I first started using the app, it was suggested it had to do with my tuner, and sure enuf I needed to update the software. But that is not what caused the error this time and I checked the logs and cannot figure it out. I'm posting em in case anyone can help, but I think the writing is on the wall and I need a new tuner.
What is the most recommended tuner around these parts?
I know I must be missing something.
I have looked in all the add on settings both in Kodi Matrix under add-ons - NextPVR
And every other location I could find.
But I cannot find anything that allows me to toggle timeshift to on.
Also looked in "settings" on the server interface - nothing there.
I can't get SD to add to EPG sources in settings, guide. I can't get EPG source to change to SD in settings, channels. I've typed my user name and password in both places. My SD account claims to be good until Nov. of 2023. Now I can't even get DVB/ATSC EPG to update my tvguide. I've reinstalled NPVR still with no joy.
