  connectpins failed
Posted by: drbenjamin - 2010-04-24, 03:43 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Guys

I have a PVR-150 and an HVR-2250, both of which use IR blasters to control STBs and record analog in. They had been working fine for almost a year. I've been trying to upgrade my GB-PVR setup to use an HD-PVR. For a while I also wanted to use the PC to play the shows, but I've given up as I can't seem to get a stable system, and now plan to use an NMT for playback. However, at some point in my struggles with audio and video decoders, one of my 2 analog tuners stopped working, the files are created but have no video and no audio. They appear black and silent when copied over to another machine, so I don't think it's an issue with playback on the GB-PVR machine. I am attaching logs, but I"m thinking the problem is related to the following entries (at 7:29 AM 4/23 is an example of a failed show)

Thanks!

  No IMDB Rating

Alibert,

I have lost the IMDB rating from the movie descriptions when using the IDMB lookup from "Find more". Both stars and numbers are missing.

Anything that have changed?

Thanks

Live TV and TV Guide don't work in Windows 7
Posted by: colinnwn - 2010-04-23, 05:55 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

So I'm trying to do a fresh install of GB-PVR on a fresh install of Win7-32 with a HVR-2250 tuner on ClearQAM, and I've been having a lot of problems. I feel a little stupid at this point.

I have added one of the HVR-2250 digital tuners, successfully downloaded my SchedulesDirect listing, successfully scanned and found a crap ton of channels (most of which don't work, even the ones marked as in the clear), mapped a few physical channels that do work in the preview pane to the SD listings, and enabled those channels.

After closing the config utility, when I go to PVRX2 and click on "TV Guide" or "Live TV", nothing happens. All the other options seem to work. In the logs, it appears to say I have no channels set up, but I think I have done everything necessary to activate them.

I've checked the permissions for gbpvr.db3 and config.xml, even though since this isn't a restore that shouldn't be an issue. Both files show that the user GB-PVR runs in to have full permissions on these 2 files. TV works fine in Windows Media Center. I haven't disabled UAC yet because this problem didn't seem related to the other issues where UAC possibly caused problems. But I can if someone thinks that would be valuable.

I've searched the forums to get this far quite a bit. Now I'm out of ideas and leaving my parents house in about 6 hours, not to be back for several weeks. If anyone could throw me a bone, I'd appreciate it.

This is much lower priority, but when I tried to set up the analog section of this card, I experienced the same problem of the frontend not working. I deleted it to be sure that wasn't causing a problem. But I noticed the analog section asked what input to record and listed 1-8. I haven't figured out a way to tell which 2 of 8 inputs are correct for the analog part of the card, since there is no preview pane in analog setup. Does anyone know which inputs I should be using for analog?

  Cannot stream to mvpmcx2
Posted by: LegioX - 2010-04-23, 12:09 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (4)

I've obtained an eGreat and have setup mvpmcx2. I can launch the GBPVR app and schedule recordings, view the TV guide, etc, but cannot stream any videos (either .AVI from the video library or .TS from the Recordings) successfully. I believe this is a mvpmcx2 issue as I can stream the videos from the eGreat GUI itself, just not from inside GBPVR. The screen just goes black, then flickers a few times then kicks me back to the selection screen.

Are there any settings I need to enable for this to work? I've checked the usual f/w settings, permissions, interact with desktop for recording service, etc and am confused what is causing the issue. It feels like a video setting but I've tried all the options I can find and can't make it work.

Any ideas anyone?

Need to mouse click playback screen before remote will work?
Posted by: acb - 2010-04-23, 06:57 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I'm using a Harmony One remote via HIP. The remote navigates the GBPVR menu fine, and also Video Library & MovieWiz menus as well.

The problem I'm having is that when I play a video file, the player is unable to receive any navigation commands from the remote until i mouse click on the video play back window. After that it works fine (until i try to play another file and the problem arises again).

Have searched the forums but can't find a solution.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

  MVPMC + standby of NMT
Posted by: Azimuth - 2010-04-23, 02:27 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (2)

My current setup in the bedroom is an MVP with CRT SD TV. The TV has a sleep timer that I use nightly when I fall asleep.
I have a 27" LCD monitor that does not have a sleep timer, Is there any way to hook up an NMT (egreat or PCH) to power off after x amount of time and thus cause the monitor to sleep?

Hi Sub,

When can we expect the next version ? I suffer from the issue whereby tv viewing stops on MVPs after every show, which is a bit tedious when the kids are watching cbeebies ! As I understand it, this wil be fixed in the next version.

Thanks

  No decrypting under W7-64bit
Posted by: Reddwarf - 2010-04-22, 05:12 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I'v been trying to set up gbpvr under Windows-7 64bit, and I can watch and record unencrypted dvb-c channels just fine, but I cannot get encrypted channels to decrypt. The setup is exactly the same as I use under XP, bt it seems almost like no data is sendt to mdapifilter.ax. Any one has a good suggestion what to do?

  WinTV-HVR-4000 vs. HVR-4400
Posted by: agerdin - 2010-04-22, 10:49 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (8)

Hi,

On the UK Hauppauge site I can see a new HVR version, the WinTV-HVR-4400 (http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/site/products...r4400.html). Is it safe to assume that this card also is supported by GBPVR. With the possibility to use the WinTV-CI module for pay-tv, I am now thinking about kicking my old analogue setup out through the door.

As I understand the difference between the two versions is that I will be able to record on both DVB-S and DVB-T at the same time.

Anyone knows if this is a correct assumption.

Thanks,

\\Agerdin
