How do I set recording parameters. When I record a show GBPVR continues to record after the show is done, I do not want to cancel the recording because It wont complete my conversion. My fault the conversion runs lil longer than actual show so GBPVR says it is recording. It is recording and converting properly thanks.
Hi
I am just trying to get egbExtra installed.
I have followed instructions to place all the downloaded files into C:\\program files(x86)\devnz\gbpvr
and then opened a cmd console in that folder.
when i run the egbextra exe i get an error that it cant find program files(x86)\config.xml
well the config.xml is in the gbpvr folder where i assume it should be? so what am I doing wrong please?
I do not remember setting up a pin for the settings menu .. I need to make some changes in the settings menu. If I did setup password, I know what password I would have used. Is there a way to reset pin for settings menu?
Hi all.. There has to be a way to compress and convert video to AVI. format in GBPVR. I have not successfully converted video to AVI. format nor have I been able to compress the video also. There has to be a way GBPVR can perform this conversion. In the processing tab under conversion processing I have the auto-convert MPG recordings to XviD. I either have the wrong settings or I need a plug in to successfully pull this off. I want my output file to be in AVI format with XviD Codecs compressed so that I can transfer files via internet to my online storage manager and website database for online viewing via online DIVX player. Please help.
Hi all! great comunity I think Im late:mad:
I got the gb-pvr 1.4.7 three days ago, I followed the guides from the site: install ok! config ok! everything was right, next day I turned on the pc just to realize that the live tv get no signal... I started checking and surprised me that gb-pvr live tv works only after running my old AverTv 6 application.
tried with another app (cyberlink power cinema 6) and live tv works fine.
tried the gb-pvr with my AVerTV Volar Black HD on another computer and works fine.
reinstalled the files required (Microsoft Dot Net Runtime v2.0, Windows Installer 3.1, etc.).
tried different codecs in the playback config setting.
Im goin:mad: cant solve on my own, any ideas?
pd: I have windows XP
Not technically a GB-PVR problem.... but does anyone know if it is possible to output audio from my GB-PVR box to 2 outputs at the same time. I have my HTPC connected to an amp though SPDIF, and currently this lives on for TV sound. I also have the LCD connected through HDMI. I would like the ability to use either depending on the content (news or movie etc) without having to jump into the config and swap things about.
I have recently tried to install and configure GBPVR as alternative PVR
for my DTV Leadtek Winfast USB Dongle Gold .
I went step by step along guide for DVB-T till channel scanning.
It finds and correctly displays TV shows from all available DVB-T multiplexes.
But it strangely keeps empty channel list and finally claims it has found nothing.
Could you, please, give me an advice what to do ?
( Location Brno, Czech Republic )
Note that I have not noticed any troubles in channel scanning in WinfastPVR2 or Media center.
I wanted to attach a ZIP with logs, but for some reasons clicking to icons
or button Manage attachments does not work. So I have used rapidshareto provide logs
Aside of configs in ZIP, I have also tried to increase start delay in confix.xml from 1 to 5 s,
and wait delay from 15 to 30s, and switch on 144(?) kHz shift scanning.
I have read in forum it can help in some cases, but without success.
I have also installed Cyberlink MPG mux,
seeing in logs Config utility was trying to create MPG file root folder.
But no difference.
There is used tailored channel list of local broadcastings in config/logs in ZIP.
As TV source is used common signal in block of flats
Last 2 from list of 6 are not really present in a signal.
Before creating logs I have used also All regions settings with all frequency scan, no success.
I use DTV Leadtek Winfast USB Dongle Gold for DVB-T on Vista64 Premium SP2.
I use original PVR Leadtek Winfast2, but it has some troubles in importing all data from channel stream EPG.
I also use Vista original MCE, but there is inline EPG for 4 main local channels only.
I have tried also TV Pack 2008. But because I have not found any working and free solution to convert WTV files, and it crippled my Leadtek WinfastPVR2 installation, I reverted back.
As other solution, if GBPVR would not be usable for me,
I am thinking about XMLTV proxy utility to import EPG to MCE from local stored EPG, extracted from DVB-T by DVBGuide. ( Unfortunately, MCGuideLoad from DVBGuide is not working for Vista64 - confirmed by author)
Edit:If relevant, I was not able to install it by standard way, getting fatal error.
I had to used the workaround from Ms site, mentioning problems with MSi scripts:
MSIEXEC /i package /gr+
Also, config seems to have troubles with keeping chosen language.
There is in logs mentioned a path to language subfolder was not found (like that),
but the folder is on its place.
I've been running GBPVR for a few months now and really like it. However, I have a problem: every once in a while shows will no longer be recorded. Instead, I get 0kb files for each show.
The last time this happened restarting fixed it. Now that is not working anymore.
I have attached two logs files: one that is edited that shows a recent error. The other is the logs in their entirety.
