  Main Menu extremely Laggy
Posted by: Azimuth - 2010-03-22, 05:18 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (6)

I started over with a fresh install of GBPVR last night. ever since, I have been trying to solve problems with the Main Menu. The first was that when using the Slick skin the main menu was just a black screen on both NMT and MVP.
then I installed the Mayhem3 Skin and the black main menu issues were solved. Now the main menu is sluggish. There are no items to the left side of the horizontal selection panel either.
has anyone seen this before?

ATI HD 3450 - what decoder/video renderer combo?
Posted by: mattyb - 2010-03-22, 04:19 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (10)

Not sure what happened to my last post - might have got lost in the forum upgrade today.

Anyway, my trusty nVidia 7600GS AGP video card has just died and I'm in need of a replacement. They're relatively expensive nowadays so I'm looking for an AGP alternative. Researching on this forum the ATI HD3450 gets some good press. My setup is only SD at the moment so I'm not looking to spend a lot of $$$.

A couple of questions:

1) I've been using nVidia Purevideo with the 7600GS. Does this work with the HD3450? Or if not, what decoder/renderer combo might be suitable?

2) Is the HD3450 quiet? I can't seem to find and AGP fanless version anywhere (maybe they don't exist?). My 7600GS was passively cooled so I don't want to introduce any extra noise to the HTPC.

Thanks in advance.

Somehow screwed up my mvpmc share?
Posted by: Firetoad - 2010-03-21, 06:06 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (2)

Somehow, by mvpmc share will no longer load up on my PCH A-100. I can start GBPVR through the PCH's network browser, but the share will no longer work.

I was attempting to add DVD iso playback functionality, and as soon as I did this, the network share stopped working (only able to load GBPVR at the NMT through the network browser). I may have screwed up the gbpvr.cgi file since I used notepad on it instead of editpadpro. I tried to rewrite the file using editpadpro, but it still does not work.

Here are my logs and my NMT Checker output:

  Record indicator on all screens
Posted by: jbh - 2010-03-21, 05:37 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Does GBPVR have a record indicator (red dot in top corner) which can be seen on each screen? Would be nice to know that its recording without having to go to the recordings menu.

  MCE remote and netradio question
Posted by: collin - 2010-03-21, 05:25 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I've recently migrated from a totally Hauppauge recever/blaster/remote setup to a completely MCE receiver/blaster/remote setup and have it all working amazingly great, except for one thing of course, volume in NetRadio. I've mapped the volume up/down keys so they act as the left/right keyboard keys as GBPVR likes these for the internal volume control. The problem is in NetRadio these keys don't adjust the volume like they do everywhere else, and like they did with the old Hauppauge remote setup. I remember with the Hauppauge 45 button remote the volume keys performed as the left/right keys do with the MCE remote, however in the Wiki the key codes for these keys should be Ctrl+X and Ctrl+Z yet this does nothing when I try it in my MCE setup. Is there something else I should be setting the volume keys up for? The internal volume control(OSD) works fine for everything else except for NetRadio. I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere, I tried my best to find info on this. Thank you!

http://www.globalscaletechnologies.com/p...splay.aspx

A new type of pc , could be used as a htpc (that one in the link specifically, but there are other boxes at the main web site).

Not sure if we could use this via gbpvr at all ? Are they only linux ??

  Crash on startup: GBPVRX2.x0061b801bdf12d35
Posted by: drdr6 - 2010-03-20, 10:37 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I see this message referenced in two other threads, but I'm getting the issue on startup of pvrx2 before the main window opens

Someone mentioned a "skin issue" so I installed community skin, but this makes no difference

I've tried fiddling with the render settings, makes no difference.

This is a new installation on a machine that I want to be a client; it has no tuner.

gbpvr config loads and behaves normally, the recording service starts and stops as one might expect (albeit it's got no hardware to use).

I added logs, though there doesn't seem to be anything particularly indicative there

Any ideas of how to progress it ?

Thanks
Derek

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging

<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
