Hi,
I have a pentium d dell based mb with ati hd 4k series pcie card.
Playback movies works w/audio, however atsc tuned stations
have no audio. Winbloze alerts sounds work through tv(hdmi).
winXP hvr1600 ati hd4550
I set up ATIHD as audio render, and video render, everything looks
great (except the display is smaller than the lcd), but no sound...
How do you get it to look like that? If it's custom then we should get a thread going where you can download their config files to change the appearance.
Has anybody noticed their Radio Times UK EPG data stopping on March 2nd 2010?
Spotted it last night and did a manual update using XMLTV GUI (normally use the console version via UpdateEPG.bat). Seemed to work OK with no errors but only grabbed data up to 02/03/2010.
The scheduled update has run again today but it still stops on the 2nd.
Any ideas? XMLTV has always been bulletproof so I've never had cause to troubleshoot it.
Have a few questions folks on the Hardware front :-
I have an existing MB and disk combination that I will install in a new case, MB is Intel 946 based with an Intel E2180 Dual core 2Ghz processor with 2GB of RAM. The disks are a Samsung and WDC 250GB SATA 3.0Gbps.
I am looking at using a GeForce210 based Graphics card (Palit) and KWorld DVB-T PC160-2T.
Having downloaded the KWorld driver it looks like it is a BDA Driver (looking at the Notes.ini file in the zip file the driver name is KWorld USB DVB-T BDA Driver).
OS can be either Vista Business or Windows 7 Business.
Am I looking at a good combination here ? It is to replace our failing Humax 9200 PVR and so series link, reliability and ease of use for the SWIMBO are my main requirements.
I changed my conversion time in config.exe but it is not working. I rebooted to make sure no unknown service need restarted.
Can you tell me the mechanism as to what service starts the TRANSCODE_QUEUE processing. I have killed the recording process but it still process's the TRANSCODE_QUEUE when it was working. Is it using windows scheduler?
OK, i'm getting the 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' error like many ppl have experience. I checked the windows file sharing, my client can access the server file. i turned off both firewall on server and client. still no go. run pvrx2.exe on client as admin, no go. I tried installing different decoders, still no go. what gives?
i was able to watch tv on the server but not on the client. does pvrx2.exe needs to be running on the server? actually i tried that too, still no go.
pvrx2.exe.log isn't particularly helpful....

Ok, I gave up on my PVR-150..
Found a used Ati TV Wonder VE card, which according to the Ati website has hw mpeg encoder.
No direct support in GBPVR though..
I cant load the Ati drivers (long story, but something with my Dcom in XP prevents MS Installers from running..). Apparently the Sourceforge Bt848 drivers are better anyhow.
Here's my output from Filtercheck

Im not sure why nothing is showing under Encoders ??
How do I create a section in Direct.ini for this card ?
I upgraded to Win7 and installed GBPVR v. 1.4.7. In XP I pulled in about 9 stations in HD. Image and sound were superb with my Avermedia Duet A188 card, but there were hardware detection problems in XP. There are no hardware detections problems in Win7.
Now, I am trying to configure in Win7. I am using a bda file that was recommended by Sub (thank you, Sub) for XP. When I configure Capture Sources, I can see both tuners in the Sources window.
Now I am Editing the capture source. I use Digital Recording Plugin as source, DVB-EPG Bradcast as EPG source.
When in Channel Mappings, I get the following error: GBPVR was unable to start the bda device you have configured. Reason: failed to locate configured BDA device. However, Win7 detects the card (visible in Device Mgr.)
Then, when in MVP&NVT, a red warning appears in the left corner:
Warning: The default dongle.bin is incompatible with Vista. Please see the forum for dongle recommendations.
Question: Is my problem a card detection problem or Win7, or the dongle? I am running the card on Avermedia's latest Win7 drivers.
Say perhaps I ran pmwiki with full and current GBPVR wiki pages on a test server @ home linked to an upper domain level i.e. http://www.mydomain.com but GBPVR test pages were buried in a further folder i.e. http://www.mydomain.com/GVBPVR/Wiki/Test
are search engines still going to find it?
Will a simple robot off in html page file work? I wouldn't want this to be recognised by search engines as would just be a temporary thing.
