If we're using a cable company's STB, and have, for instance, Channel 1 as 'On Demand'. Can we have certain buttons (arrows and enter) get passed to an IR blaster to the STB?
I'm sure there are some logistics... but we have a collection of fine minds here, perhaps we could come up with a solution.
I would like to see the channel lineup have a column with a bit value. 'OnDemand' True/False. If PVRX2 is currently watching and 'OnDemand' channel, it takes only particular remote signals (PVRX2 would be capturing everything as usual) and call out to another 'Channel Changer' executable with different parameters.
Or... when setting up a capture source that points to an external channel changer, it could be set as 'OnDemand' enabled, and the 'OnDemand' channels would only use that tuner/capture source, and it's blaster settings.
Recently I was showing members of my family pictures from my picture library remote from my GBPVR server (100 miles away to be precise )
Unfortunately the process became rather tortureous as the list of files in the directory was rather long and the files I wanted to view were at the end of the listing.
Would it be possible to add a "next" or "previous" to the actual picture display or perhaps (as an option) display thumbnails instead of file names?
Hi there i'm new to this software, been trying to find a better alternative to media center for awhile now. I've installed GB-PVR but i can't seem to find anything from MUX C i believe it's called. Dave, sky sports news etc. I've been scanning the fenham area over and over but nothing pops up. I've tried scanning further areas and i might find dave on a week signal... but never sky sports news, and it's the channel i can't live without (especially round the transfer window) Media center picks all channels up no problem so i don't believe it's anything to do with poor signal strength. Fenham is like a 10 minute drive from here also.
I've been tring to find frequency details and such for a manual scan but i'm not having any luck. Does anyone have any ideas? will willingly trade this gay rabbit channel that keeps popping up for sky sports news
It would be nice if there was an 'always on top' option for when the client is running in windowed mode. For example: Having the GBPVR client positioned in the top right corner of the screen whilst browsing the web with IE full screen 'under' it.
how can i get a sub-forum?
i want to put all my batch files/transcode profiles/utils/tips in a single place..
[there's several of them]
SuperSimpleArchiver + Archive All
Net2HIPsend
MCEBlaster
MCE Remote No-Software
SuspdenyXP
RecordingProtector
RecoverRecordings
Import metadata.xml
FFMpeg HD profiles
FFDShow setup for DXVA for any card
etc.etc..
Tonight I had a few programs set to record. One of them (Fringe) did not record successfully. There is a 13MB file for it (not a 0 byte), but if I attempt to play it via the NMT, it hangs.
Looking at the recording logs (attached), I see a couple of errors:
And since I don't see any tuning info for Fringe, I'm thinking that it was supposed to be just continuing using the tuner from 2 20:00 shows. But the logs show:
right now it is constantly green. Is there an option so it turns red when it is recording? i dont like to right click on it everytime i want to check if it is doing something. Thanks!
I've done a search on the forum, and it seems that most people agree if you only want to capture from a vcr, it's better to use a program such as Wintv. However, I cannot get WinTV to work for me with Vista. I can't get any picture with it, and I'm tired of messing with it...
I used to use GB-PVR when I had digital cable about 4 years ago, and at that time I really liked it. But now I have Dish and a DVR, so I don't really need the EPG options and all that. I'm only interested in doing manual recordings, mainly capturing old VHS tapes, and very rarely I might hook up to my DVR to capture a pre-recorded program.
So I guess what I'm needing to know, is are there any special things I should do when I install GB-PVR to try it? I mean since I won't need and won't be using EPG, how do I tell GB-PVR that? Or is there a different program (not WinTV) that would be better for me to try?
By the way, I'm on 32bit Vista, and my PVR250 is recognized by Vista.
Wanting to playback a long list of videos (.avi files) in a single directory in sequence. Basically, just tired of trying to get my DVD image (VOB) files to work and would rather just rename the to .avi and get them to play in sequence. thanks!
Hello, I am having strange problems with my egreat. I have 2 gbpvr servers on the same network and I access them as needed via egreat. However, sometimes when I try to access server A it logs into server B. This is driving me crazy. How can egreat access server B when I specifically direct it to server A? If only one server is on then all is ok. Why is this happening and how do I fix it?
