I have tried Skip Tool and I find it slow and cumbersome.
Are there any tools like DVR Edit? Where you can skim through the show with a slider and mark the ins and outs of commercials?

Normally, I have pretty good luck with it. I've finally encoded my Stargate SG-1 DVDs. I cannot get an accurate result.

My directory structure is: Stargate SG-1\Season 1\(01) Children of the Gods.

I'm using series override with Stargate SG-1 as the series name.

Wizmetadata grabber insists on returning the Season 1 dvd box set from IMDB instead of the episode data from TheTVDB; probably because it's hitting IMDB first and finding probable matches.

Is there a way to disable individual internet searches? Should there be? If it's a TV series, wouldn't I want TheTVDB only?

I have a Hauppauge HVR1800 on Windows XP. I can tune all my ATSC channels fine, but on a couple of channels the show is compressed to fill the upper half of the screen and the rest is pixelated.

These same channels display fine when tuning with WinTV or NeroVision. My logs are attached.

I just wiped my working xp install to switch to W7 X64 and I'm having some problems. I am getting some recordings 0 length with ts mux and can't play back DVRMS files in GBPVR although they play back fine in windows media player. I've tried Cyberlink, Mainconcept HCW, DTVDVD and system default playback codec. I'm using ffdshow for sound as that's what has always worked with this pc in the past although I did try setting it to system default.

So after playing with my C-200 and realizing it won't work with mvpmc2, I bought a A-110.
Looks like the kids room gets an upgraded box

I seem to have everything running (when I tried to get it to work from my c-200).
I re-ran the setup and selected the appropriate MAC address.

I can run the TV guide, but only by going through the network browser, displaying the files and clicking on the .html
I am then forced to pick the GBPVR - via network browser (second option on the list).

The screen flashed on an off several times, then displays.

My questions are these:

1. Is there a way to set the load up as automatic? not have the select the html via the browser? I have mapped the directory, but that doesn't seem to do it.

2. Is there a way to not pick the network browser option from the menu, and load automatically?

3. Is the "no signal" flicking back and forth for about 10 seconds normal?

and last..

4. Is there a way to display the TV Guide better? It appears that the screen is to large to fit my TV (large resolution).

I'm using the newest version of GB-PVR (1.4.7) and am having trouble getting UltraXMLTV Post-Process Renamer working on my Windows 7 64 bit system.

When I try to launch the program it states that it cannot locate GB-PVR. I'm thinking this is because it is in Program Files (x86) instead of the standard Program Files directory, but I cannot change it when installing GB-PVR (I've tried, it just ignores me and installs to the x86 directory).

Is there a way to get this program running on a 64 bit copy of Windows or am I stuck and have to use a 32 bit copy?

Movies, pictures, songs... we all love 'em from our deepest hearts.

While browsing through my media (blue skin, csp glow widescreen) i just thought: "Why is there not a mode like this?". Because my english isn't the best, i will try to show my thoughts as a picture:


A style like this would be a nice eyecandy for every skin. Currently i have to look at minipictures @ stretched Mini Pictures with a lot of wasted space on the screen.

How about this? What you're thinking?

PS: The pictures in the bottom line shall stand for one video (not a slideshow for one movie!).

Currently i am archiving my TV series on the server. While this process works i watch a few series from the beginning via 'play all'.

This one works nice, but has a weak spot. If i stop the playback, let's say on the fifth episode, and i will later watch from this position via 'play all', then the playback starts from the beginning with episode 1. So i have to skip all the vids, till i reach the target episode OR i have to playback each video for it's own. Both is uncomfortable.

I think, you can imagine, what my wish is. ^^ To start 'play all' from any point within a folder.

I recently got access to DVB-C from my cable provider (Yousee) here in Denmark, I decided to switch over from analog to digital. I bought a DVB-C card, a Terratec Cinergy C PCI, which I am trying to make work with GBPVR version 1.4.7.

I have some experience with GBPVR and Hauppauge analog tuners, so installation was not a problem. The card is recognised at once during setup in “Capture Sources”. I have created a tuning .ini file in GBPVR\BDA\DVB-C:

Works fine. During scan, I find all the TV and radio channels I could possible expect. This is where my problems start!

Looking through the channels, some are encrypted and some are not - fine.
The unencrypted ones are viewable and I can enable them for use in GBPVR - fine.
The problem is with the ones marked as encrypted, because they are not all supposed to be so. Their status varies from scan to scan!

I have 3 basic TV packages to choose from, plus some extra. The 3 packages are: Basic, Middle, and Full. All the extra are always encrypted, which I would expect. The channels from the Basic package are always viewable - the channels from the two other packages are the ones causing problems.

Example: Discovery Channel (a shadow of its former self, but leave that for now). This channel is located in the "Full" package. I can do a full scan and find "Discov" in the list. It will sometimes show as "MPEG-2" in which case I can preview it. It can also show as "MPEG-2 (encrypted)" in which case I cannot preview it. If it turns up unencrypted I enable it and then try to see it in LiveTV. I will always get the message "This channel is currently encrypted".

I have installed the Terratec software (I had to make my own tuning file there also). The card works perfectly with Terratec's own software (as long as I do not upgrade, which is another story). All channels are viewable when they are supposed to.

I do not have a CI adapter, because I do not need it.

Can anyone spot some error I have made?

After much work, I finally got most of my machine working, except its not allowing me to watch TV. I have a Hauppauge! HVR-2250 Dual Tuner with the most recent version of gbpvr as I just downloaded it Jan 29th. I finally got my remote to work with it, but when I click to watch live TV, nothing happens. When I click to view guide, it blinks once and comes back to the main menu screen. I am running Windows XP MCE. If you need to know anything else to help me, please just ask. Thank you.
