is GBPVR and PVRx2 two different programs?
Posted by: Zeno110 - 2010-01-28, 05:15 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (2)

I am new and im confused. I downloaded the GBPVR program but when i run it , the exe file is PVRx2. Also, i see some people on this forum say they can get GBPVR to work but not with PVRx2. That to me seem like they are two different programs.

Just wondering that is all. Thanks.

Comcast DTA not taking IR Blaster signals
Posted by: mkenyon2 - 2010-01-28, 01:21 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (13)

I've got a Comcast DTA box hooked up to my HTPC right now. My receiver gets signals from the box's remote. But sending a test signal does nothing to the DTA. I have a Hauppauge blaster and an HP blaster. Neither one works.

Thoughts? The thing is right up against the face of the box.

  Comskip Comclean HELP!
Posted by: Darko1912 - 2010-01-28, 01:12 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

OK, I've tried all day to get this to work and its a no go. I have Win XP and am running the latest version of GBPVR. I have downloaded the latest comskip files and that appears to be working well, however comclean is a no go. I am trying to use comclean2 with Cuttermaran. I set up the postprocessing.bat just as instructed in the Wiki. Can someone please give me a step by step instructions for dummies so I can get this to work?? Plus tell me whatever tweaks I need to make to postprocessing.bat and GBPVR's config settings.

I use an external hard drive (E) to record my tv shows to then use another computer on my network to access the files and watch them on a TV in my basement. Thats why I want to totally remove the commercials before watching the recording. I do not use GBPVR's player or an MVP.

After comskip runs I have the notepad files and the edl file but I never get another mpg file in addition to my original mpg file.

THANKS!

  Please help with configuration
Posted by: Zeno110 - 2010-01-27, 11:27 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (27)

I just bought a ATI 650 USB tuner card. I can watch and use it on the default ATI software. When i tried to use it with GBPVR, I cant get anything to show up. The config did detect my card but when it tried to scan for EPG options, nothing comes up. The most disappointing it i cannt get the LIVE TV to even show up. Basically when i click on "live TV" nothing shows up, no black screen, no flicker, no nothing.

Can you advise me in how to get the live tv to show? my connection is Cable from Shaw. I am not sure if that is digital or analog, but we have a digital shaw cable box in the living room. This tuner is connected to my desktop in the bedroom straight from the wall via cable.

thanks.

  Tray Icon Missing
Posted by: Elmo Putney - 2010-01-27, 09:57 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Recently the GBPVR tray icon stopped appearing after a re-boot. I can see it's running from windows task manager but it doesn't appear, I found this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...light=tray with a possible solution but havn't tried yet because I'd like to image my system before I screw the registry up.

The logs appear to show nothing, but has anyone got any ideas.

Oh I should add this is on my lounge XP32 server.

  M43A menu's WAAAAYYYY too big
Posted by: NI2O - 2010-01-27, 09:06 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (15)

Hi folks,

I just installed my new M34A NMT this afternoon and am having a few issues.

The biggest one is that the menus are far too big. By this I mean that if you chopped the menu into 4 quarters, I can see only the top left quarter spread out across my entire screen. I'm set up for 1080I mode.

Another minor issue is that I can't seem to get "gbpvr" to work so am having to use "gbpvr via network browder" which does seem to do what I want in a manner of speaking.

Any help etc ...

Thanks

Mark
