I have GB-PVR running ok with ffdshow as video and audio filters.
However, even though ffdshow works fine when in live preview mode - as soon as I hit pause to go into time shift mode I get 4 instances of AC3Filter popping up and it takes over as the audio filter.
I need AC3Filter installed as I use it for S/PDIF playback on other programs and so I am not going to uninstall it.
I just cant figure out why GB-PVR shifts to AC3filter of its own accord when AC3Filter is not selected at all in any of the config filters.
Any help would be appreciated as when AC3Filter kicks in I lose my stereo sound as I have AC3Filter defaulting to S/PDIF passthrough for my 5.1/DTS programs.
I've bought two TV cards, if I can get one of them to work with GBPVR I will be very happy
Unfortunately neither seem to be able to properly pick up DVB-T channels during scanning, though the results are slightly different with each card.
With the Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1200 PCIe card, the config app shows strength 0 and quality 0 all the time and finds no channels.
With the Compro Videomate DVB-T200 PCI card, it successfully tunes channels on the first mux (BBC1, BBC2, BBC News and CBBC), but for each successive mux it just finds the same four channels again. Someone else posted about the same problem with this card, it seemed the card was not complying with GBPVR's instruction to switch muxes during the scanning process. The four channels it does find, I can watch OK.
I've attached the config logs from both attempts at tuning. I'm using GBPVR 1.4.7. Hoping someone can shed some light on either of these problems...
I have a bunch of recording sessions setup for atsc and usually watch analog cable when not watching recorded stuff. When a recording finishes the video stream for analog stops. Sometimes I can switch channels back and forth and that fixes it or I can restart the recorder.
Is there a way to restart the recorder after it is done recording? This would probably fix my problem.
If someone else has has this problem and fixed it I'm open ears...:-)
1. How do I stop guide update from adding new channels that I don't want/ use every time I do a guide update? Then I have to edit them out in config.
2. When I update guide via gbpvr gui, it does not pull any new data. I have to manually go to the C:EPG folder and update guide (xmltv.exe) every time I want to update.
Im new to all of this, and I'm not sure I understand a few things. I have 2 HVR-2250 cards hooked up.
First of all, how do I switch between capture sources or how do I know what capture source is being used by what? For instance after I finish configuring a new capture source, how would I test it? It just seems to keep going to the same one when watching live TV.
Also, how can I tell this thing to use only certain capture sources for certain channels?
In my "Analog Recording Plugin" capture source configuration, what are the 9 "Board Numbers" (ie: Capture Device #1) referring to exactly?
And in my "Digital Recording Plugin" capture source configuration, what exactly is the "Device Number"? I have 1 - 8 as my choices.
Having trouble starting up software. Says "System does not support the required vmr9 video render". Really excited about this software and would love to get this working.
I've tried for the past week to hunt down an HD PVR.. it simply is out of stock everywhere! I saw a few pop up on Amazon, only to disappear before I could check out. J&R had some, but sold out quick.. same with Newegg. they say it could be a few weeks before they get any, supposedly Hauppauge isn't pumping out enough to keep up with demand from what I was told.
I don't want to go the eBay route; would rather get one new-in-box and not have any warranty hassles..
