Does anyone know of an app/plig-in etc. that can display digital tuner signal strength/quality, etc in real-time? Sub records it in the log for a recording, so the info seems to be available. A real-time display would be useful for antenna turning, splitter arranging, etc. Any coding geniuses want to jump in?
I've slid back down the slippery slope, all the way to square one. Thanks to help from the forum, yesterday I turned off the Windows 7 firewall and was able to record something for the first time. But I soon realized GB-PVR was only accessing one tuner from my SD-HDHR. But both tuners were working fine through the SD software, and rescan there found lots of channels. So I tried to remap the channels to the offending tuner in config, but the scan came up empty. So I removed the tuner from the capture source list, added it back, resulting in the same 0 channels detected. So I uninstalled the GB-PVR program, rebooted and started from scratch.
Now GB-PVR fails to detect channels on either tuner. I'd really like to use this program, along with the two popcornHour a100s I got, so I hope you can help me. I'm using version 1.4.7, with microsoft epg through mc2xml. OS is Windows 7, firewall is turned off for both public and private, and there is no other firewall installed. There is AVG anti-virus & anti-spyware installed. The HDHR is set to GB-PVR as the application. My log is attached.
Probably go w/ the White Box. But have you used this card? What are your thoughts?
I had an Avermedia 150 Analog as my first tuner, and it worked good for a couple years, then burnt out. Worked fine while it worked. Could have been my hot box.
I'm not even sure if I can get many channels w/ Comcast in this area, so I don't know if I want to spend the extra $$ on a Hauppauge yet.
I was watchin a show that was currently recording. I use comskip during recording (if that makes a difference) and it got a bit on the way.
After I power-cycled the NMT what usualy is blue on the NMT was red (i.e. the colours did not match). The only option to get the colours right was to change source on the TV.
From what I understand from the logs it is pvrx2 that has crashed (since it started a new log when it happened).
Hmmm, feel silly asking this but Cat walked over my laptop whilst browsing Forum. He's done it before and I remember sussing it after ages. This is on Vista which I'm not so familiar with. Basically all stuff has decreased in size:

Hi, ive been looking at this for a while, however i like the MVP as when i turn it on i get GBPVR and all menus i want it to see....
I know with NMT it has its own OS built in you can connect via SMB to Windows then look at those files, however its a file share, not a GUI (so to speak).
But i just noted GBPVR used to say "MVP" now it says "MVP & NMT" in the tab and the tab has under NMT which skin you want.
So which NMT support the MVT type "what menu should i show" type interface?
I have been looking for a good piece of hardware to use as a GBPVR Client in the family room. I came across the Fit-PC2 and thought this might work well. I am not sure how it will handle HD. It has a built in IR receiver and HDMI output. It has 802.11g built in and gigabit wired ethernet. No noise fans. $300 to $500 but a nice package. There is a second version the Fit-PC2i that has a faster processor but no IR receiver.
Anyone ever tried this unit? What are your opinions? HD capable?
I'm suddenly getting short aborted recordings from UK DVB-T.
There is no indication there is anything wrong.
The recordings screen looks ok.
The logs show nothing until the expected end time and the regular quality/strength checks in the log show normal figures. (strength/quality are at their usual values).
The only way to know it has gone wrong is to play the file where they seem to stop after around 10 minutes or look at the file size which is correspondingly small.
My question is if it is a receiving glitch that is stopping received data for some reason which is the most resilient and most likely to recover ??
I'm currently using the old cyberlink mpeg mux that has served well over the years - is TS or DVR-MS any better and any downsides with them (I use PC clients as well as NMT).
I have moved over to win 7 and when I searched for new movies I got a nasty exception before anything where found.
A small thing; If I want to run the stand alone UI, I have to start as Administrator or else it crash immediately.
Back to the exception. I found that the reason where that I had deleted a movie and it's folder. Earlier Moviewiz could handle that, but not in win7.
After I removed the movie from the MovieWiz db as well, all works as expected.

Looking at the wiki http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardw...eyMappings I see that the Clear and Enter keys are duplicates of the Back and OK keys. Can these keys be handled separately via KeyMapping and if so, how would I identify them without changing the Back and OK key functionality.
