  Problem with XMLTVExtras
Posted by: LewE - 2010-01-05, 08:21 AM - Forum: TV Listings - Replies (3)

When I run XMLTVExtras it gets the following "error connecting to database". I've also included the properties from the xmltvextras.exe file so you can see if it is the most recent.

  Netflix Watch Now for NMT?
Posted by: Tinker - 2010-01-05, 05:28 AM - Forum: Netflix Watch Now - Replies (2)

I have been reading alot of posts related to the Netflix Watch Now plugin. It looks like there were versions of this plugin that would run on the an NMT. Because Netflix is now all Silverlight does that kill the PCH (NMT) option for this plugin? I have it set up and I can get some movies to play on my GBPVR server but when I try to play the same movie on the PCH it starts playing on my GBPVR server and not on the PCH. Is there any hope for Netflix on the PCH?

I have heard that PCH guys are looking into a native Netflix option but it is really a DRM issue.

Just wondering.

  0 Byte Recordings
Posted by: Kevina - 2010-01-05, 04:34 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hi, I'm posting a new thread so as to not mix my issue with others that might be different. At first I was getting no recorded files at all, but now after a change to the config file that Sub suggested, I am getting the file, but it never grows larger than 0 bytes. I'm attaching the logs to see if anyone can give me a clue as to what is going on. The latest recording to fail was Heroes at shortly after 8PM tonight.

Any light you can shed would be helpful.

Thanks,
Kevin

  Live TV problem
Posted by: dspdrew - 2010-01-05, 02:31 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

For some reason, after I have had live TV playing for about 12 hours, it starts to strobe, or only show a picture every second or so and does not go back to normal smooth video untill I go out of live TV and back in. I have not tried recording anything yet, and I am afraid that my recordings are going to turn out this way too. Anybody know why this would be happening?

  XMLTV Problems
Posted by: LoonDawg - 2010-01-05, 02:18 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

I cannot for the life of me figure this out. I am "using" mc2xml and getting it to output an xmltv file. I aim GB-PVR at that file in the Configuration tab. It says it is restarting the service. But when I open up the TV Guide function, there is no info for the shows.
I just want to get this working and have been searching the forums, trying different programs, etc.. and I can't get it working.

Please help

  Reducing logging
Posted by: mvallevand - 2010-01-05, 12:47 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (4)

Sub is there any why to reduce the rather extreme volume of logging done during rendering by way of the client. ML3 does one second updates of the playing location and the render hash output for the screen updates is filling up 1.5 Mb of logs very quickly. An example is in pz1's post here
http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...tcount=102

One channel audio video sync problem
Posted by: morser - 2010-01-04, 10:18 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hello,
I have a healthy GBPVR setup. The 4 tunners work fine, live TV works fine. Latest version etc.

I'm watching and recording using ATSC. ONE channel in Detroit, WADL has a problem. I remember reading in this forum one post about someone mentioning that when recording anything on ONE particular station, the video goes really fast and the audio is at the normal speed. When watching LIVE, the video is fast-jerky, pausing to let the audio keep up. I cannot find that post now.

If all other ATSC stations are fine, what could be the problem with this one? It occurs with all shows on this one channel.

  Invalid chars in show names
Posted by: multirotor - 2010-01-04, 08:53 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi,

I managed to setup GBPVR + MediaMVP to play the files recorded by my Windows Media Center (in DVR-MS format).
All standard settings, just changed the muxer to the cyberlink one which I was able to install by installing the autodvrconverter application.

All is working perfectly fine. Sound in sync, acceptable delays, even plays files bigger than 2GB which was a limitation on my networked KISS DVD players before.

One issue remains: when the show file name contains an "e" with an accent ("accent égu" in French like the word for private=privé), GBPVR is unable to find the file and crashes.

The char is ascii decimal 233: http://www.ascii.cl/htmlcodes.htm

When I rename the file to contain a normal e instead, all is fine.

Any chance of fixing this ?

Strangely, one of the previous versions of VideoRedo had the same issue but it was fixed in a more recent release.

Thanks a lot. I really like this setup. This setup is a lot faster than my Linksys Media Center Extenders DMA2100 and DMA2200.
