  Weather2 Doesn't Update at Startup
Posted by: LewE - 2010-01-05, 08:13 PM - Forum: Weather / Weather2 - Replies (8)

I have Weather2 checked in CONFIG to Update At Startup but it won't do this. It doesn't do it when PVRX2 starts up and it doesn't do it when Weather2 is first selected from the Main Menu.

I can get it to update if I select the Update button from within the plug-in.

I am running Windows 7 x64 in case that makes a difference since that environment seems to be different enough that other plug-ins/utilities are affected.

Is anyone else having this problem?

  Automatic Transcoding Not Working
Posted by: taz - 2010-01-05, 06:44 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I recently updated to the v.1.4.7. Since then none of my recordings have been automatically converted as configured. I occasionaly missed one before but now I am missing every one. I can go into the Video Library and start the transcode process as defined by the same profile that is configured to automatically transcode files, so I know my settings are OK. Attached are my log files as well as my config.xml file.

A Scroll list at OSD for channel description
Posted by: Basher52 - 2010-01-05, 05:24 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (1)

I wonder if this is a feature that could be done some time in the future.
The meaning of this is to the one watching live TV be able to scroll down through all text that has come from xmltv.
I've seen this and sometime the text is VERY informative thus just cutting it.
On the skin I right now use, I finally found the XML for it and changed that from font size 13 down to 9 and now that is the smallest we can read in full screen and still some OSD descriptions has way more text so that will still be cut off.

This is the first thing I wonder so for know I need to cut the show off and go read it on the EWA webpage instead.

This last thing makes me wanna ask if there's another way to go read that info from a sort of "kinda" offline from Live TV, like have a half page of TV and still be able to "browse" around in the menu or something else, but I can't ask that here since it ain't no support section :p

  HVR1600 Versus HVR1800
Posted by: skycyclepilot - 2010-01-05, 02:40 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (3)

The Hauppauge HVR1600 appears to be the PCI version of the HVR1800. The HVR1800 is PCI Express.

Would this make any difference whatsoever - PCI versus PCIe?

  Cannot play anything through GBPVR
Posted by: bobster - 2010-01-05, 12:23 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (9)

Hi this is my first thread and bear with me as I am very frustrated at the moment.

I have had a Popcorn Hour A110 for about a year now. Apart from a few times when it hangs and has to be powercycled, it performs pretty well.

I had GB-PVR setup on it for ages and working fine until recently.

Now, when I try to select a TV channel or recording I just get a blank screen with no sound and have to press Stop to get back to the main screen.

GB-PVR works perfectly on my PC and, as I can get the main interface running, I don't suppose there is anything wrong with my shares (I can browse to them and play .ts files recorded with GB-PVR with no problem.

Please can someone point me in the right direction to diagnose and fix this!

Here is my NMTChecker output:

Zero byte recordings on wake up to record
Posted by: bcchgeneral - 2010-01-05, 12:03 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Would love some help on this issue, if you have any thoughts!

Am running GB PVR 1.4.7 on W7 Professional 32 bit.

GB PVR records fine when the computer is already on at the start of recording - no problems.

But when GB PVR needs to wake the computer from sleep in order to record, it manages to wake the computer, but then records a zero byte recording!

I've zipped the logs and attached in the hope that they shed some light.

Does anybody know if tuner cards are available, and what codecs would be required.

PS Happy New Year everybody.

  Problem with XMLTVExtras
Posted by: LewE - 2010-01-05, 08:21 AM - Forum: TV Listings - Replies (3)

When I run XMLTVExtras it gets the following "error connecting to database". I've also included the properties from the xmltvextras.exe file so you can see if it is the most recent.
