Can't Get Web Radio To Work
Posted by: LewE - 2009-12-13, 11:05 PM - Forum: UbuStream, Web Radio and Universe - Replies (6)

I can't get Web Radio to work.

I set logging in Config to DEBUG and started PVRX2 and tried to play something in Web Radio. Attached is the PVRX2.exe log.

UPDATE: The attached file is not the one I meant to upload. Ignore it.

  No channels found
Posted by: andypandy777 - 2009-12-13, 09:18 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Hi - I just installed GBPVR today (looking for a good alternative to Media centre) I am running XP pro with a Leadtek Winfast DTV 1000T tuner card. everything seems OK apart from when I do the channel scan, no channels are found. I do not think it is anything specific to GBPVR as i installed the Winfast PVR 2 software and the same thing happens.

I know the problem is not with the tuner or drivers as MythTV running on Linux works OK mmm?

Hope someone can help as i have run out of ideas.

Thanks Andy

  HVR-1950 and FM Radio
Posted by: thankfulluser - 2009-12-13, 08:19 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Folks,

First I want to say GREAT JOB on this software, I have reviewed and tested many otheers and I like this the best.

I have the latest GBPVR installed on windows XP SP3, on a e6600 dual core box.

Everything works great, however, I am baffled as to how to hook up the FM RADIO from the 1950 into the GBPVR software. I have FM Radio on the plugins list, but no edit options, I have the FM Radio softwar from hauppauge installed on my desktop and it works. I just can't seem to connect the dots to plug it into the GBPVR.

Any tricks to this? Stepped instructions would be greatly appreciated, if anyone has gotten this to work.

Thanks in advance for any help

  Sticky for Wiki?
Posted by: steeb - 2009-12-13, 07:58 PM - Forum: Forum Issues & Documentation - Replies (12)

Following some other threads that have been going re documentation and Wiki, would a sticky at top of documentation forum giving what may be considered essential page links from the Wiki be a good idea?

Given a poll I did it does appear that all new users will head to forum 1st for getting answers to some questions.... by asking the same ones again, and again, and again...... etc

I include myself in this as when I 1st joined GBPVR community the Wiki wasn't as cared for as it is now and I just posted questions and got fairly immediate answers to them.

Having said that there seems to be such a general dis-interest in the Wiki overall that maybe there's no point in updating it and trying to improve it?

It works well for Plugins as the Authors keep that going and a couple of Wiki Elves have done LOADS of work improving it but is it worth it?

Cheers

Steeb

  Move recordings to network drive.
Posted by: jca - 2009-12-13, 07:10 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi i'm new to Gbpvr and im loving how easy it is to set up compared to mythtv and mediaportal Smile

I have a very small hd with only 20 gb free for recordings, i would like the recordings to be moved automatacly after a recording has finished and the database to be updated.

i tried to let GbPvr record directly to the NAS but it gave errors.

i found the Supersimplearchiver http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...=transcode

But when i select at recording i don't have the menu to transcode or move to network drive
what do i need to enable this?

  SearchWiz Crashing on Result Display
Posted by: escapeMCP - 2009-12-13, 06:44 PM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (1)

Please help... I can open SearchWiz and search, but as soon as I go to a programme's details, PVRX2 crashes and I get a "PVRX2 Has encountered a problem and needs to close" Send Error Report/Don't Send box. If I click on the "What data does this error report contain" I get the enclosed pic.

Looking into the PVRX2.exe.log this is where it actually crashes:

Code:
2009-12-13 18:23:18.453 VERBOSE [10] SearchWizX2: RetrieveProgramDetailThread()- ENTER 2009-12-13 18:23:18.453 VERBOSE [10] SearchWizX2.ShowInfo: IMDBInfo- (IMDB) Looking for: 100 Greatest Christmas Moments 2009-12-13 18:23:18.468 ERROR [10] FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION:: System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'Void WizUtilities.WizWebHelper.AWizScraper.set_DebugMode(Boolean)'. at WizPlugin.ShowInfo.getImdbScraperInstance() at WizPlugin.ShowInfo.get_IMDBInfo() at WizPlugin.ShowInfo.hasImdbInfo() at WizPlugin.SearchWizX2.RetrieveProgramDetailThread() at System.Threading.ThreadHelper.ThreadStart_Context(Object state) at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state) at System.Threading.ThreadHelper.ThreadStart()
I have WizWebHelper.dll (v.1.0.14.0). Can you help please? What do I need to do to get this working or assist you in troubleshooting. Many thanks,

Thanks,

Aidan

Recordings failing on new XP installation of 1.4.7
Posted by: Torquewrench - 2009-12-13, 05:24 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

An otherwise great new installation of 1.4.7 on XP SP3 and recordings aren't working. Tried both partitions of the installed drive, same result. Live TV of the same channel tunes in fine, old recordings play fine, the directory of the recording is created but no file exists in the directory. Help!

Thanks,

Phil/TW

  Two Nova-T USB tuners
Posted by: NumberFive - 2009-12-13, 04:36 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

Hi,

Is it possible to use two Nova-T USB tuners on the one machine? I've been trying for hours but can only seem to use one of them. When I try and watch something on the server or the client that is fine, but if I try and use both at the same time I'm told not enough tuners are available.

Thanks
