Newbie here. I tried PVRX2 with videos, music files, and pictures and can see and hear all of those fine, but clicking on Live TV does nothing. I am using an EVGA inDtube, so when I ran Config, I chose âOnly show devices detected in this machine,â and it found inDtube ATSC TVTuner. Although I might eventually like to try some TiVo-type stuff, all I currently want is to be able to record the show I am watching via my digital-TV converter box, so I set it for no EPG source and no channel changer. I first tried the software that came with the inDtube (Cyberlink TV Enhance). It works well live, but produces unwatchable stuttering-choppy recordings. Because it does work live, I was able to at least test the inDtubeâs inputs, of which three are available, one for cable or antenna, one for composite, and one for S-Video (with sound input for use with the latter two). They all work (one at a time), and I am using the S-Video, which seems cleanest. I would really like to get GB-PVR working so that I can record. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have recently changed to TS Mux to get TV on my other computers. That works great. However when playing recorded programs (ts files) I find that small reception errors, instead of simply stuttering, cause PVRX2 to skip forward seconds or even minutes. I can step back and play the bit that it skipped and 'quick stream fix' in VideoRedo produces a good mpg file.
I tried swapping the video and audio decoders but it didn't help. Have I missed some configuration detail?
I assume we can forget about ever getting this support for the now old generation A100's? Any chance of ever getting an A200 to work as a client for GBPVR?
New install of 1.4.7 on Win 7 using MPC-HC video decoder and EVR renderer. When trying to play some HD mpg files, I get a short audio and then a black screen. (The audio duration is about the time it usually takes to pop up the resume/restart overlay.) When this happens, I have no control with the remote, keyboard or mouse. The mouse pointer is visible and moves. When I place it about where the "X" button would be, I get the Win7 moving circle, and then a pop-up that PVRX2 is not responding. If I don't do the mouse thing, I can bring up Task Manager and it says PVRX2 is running. I have to kill it from there to get the screen back.
The file in the logs was recorded via firewire from the STB using the ATI mux and GBPVR file writer, and plays fine in an external player (KMPlayer). (I realize I'm on my own with firewire, but it would be nice if I could regain control when a file won't play - it would in the previous 1.3.11/VMR9/XP system.) I had the same problem when trying a dvr-ms file recorded from clear QAM. Using the TS mux from clear QAM seems to be fine.

I've got several links pointing to valid media files. These do not show up in the video library listing although linked directories do show up.
The links are valid and start fine when using Windows Explorer.
The logs a debug level don't show any errors that I can see.

This is all with the latest version.
I added a directory to the video library "To Watch" -> "O:\To Watch",
started PVRX2, and went to "Video Library".
The entry shows up but when I select it and press enter the program goes back to the main menu. Another entry in the video library works just fine.
There are a lot of Windows lnk shortcuts in the problem directory and some point to network shares that are unavailable (that machine is just not on).
This is the only thing I can think of.
I turned on debug logging and here is the pvrxr.exe.log:

A "System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException" jumps out at me.
I am getting what looks like a .Net error to me... but I am no programmer and will admit that. :-)
Anyone have any ideas? I have zipped/attach logs as well.

I have been trying to get my computer to automatically go into standby when idle and have noticed that after viewing a video or something else the cpu% used by PVRX2 doesnt go below 12% even when idle.
