Hi I'm currently trying to get some features working in Andorra. I'm English and may of the French and Spanish channels broadcast the original sound track on Audio #2 but this together with the sound on CNN sound like pinky and perky running at very high speed. I'm using running GBPVR 1.4.7 on an ASUS AT3N7A-I NVIDIA ION motherboard 2 Gb of ram, A Freecom USB stick type tuner type 8 in the BDA files and windows XP sevice pack 2.
All the other channels sound run at the correct speed.
Any suggestions how I can get the sound to speed correct.
I'm using GB-PVR to play Nintendo 64 through my computer using a Wave DVBT TV Tuner. Stereo audio is working but composite video shows a single frame and then goes blank (with a grey overlay).
I have had similar problems in MediaPortal and have tried a number of Mpeg-2 video decoders (ffdshow, dscaler, cyberlink, ligos, gpl) all with the same problem.
The device diagnostics for the TV Tuner fails at l2C Access Digital Module with the errors:
Error 10: Failed to set digital mode
Error 10: Error while building or starting DirectShow filter graph
Any ideas on how to solve this? I'm using GB-PVR v1.4.7
Hi,
I am a new user of GB-PVR and I can not solve a problem.
After installing gb-pvr1.4.7, I set the options "auto-convert to TS recording: MPEG2" and "Start Conversion between: ASAP and 6:00 am" in "processing" but after the recording process not start.
I have to make changes to any files?
Can someone help me?
Thanks
Anyone know why or how pvrx2.exe is using this dll in Vista/Win7? I build a vLite version of Win7 that apparently dropped this dll (no media center, etc.) and got message saying it was not found. Pvrx2.exe ran OK without it, except for the annoying error popup. According to a google search sqmapi.dll is part of Software Quality Metrics (SQM) Client - "Sqmapi.dll is a 32-bit Dynamic Linked Library of code components for a graphics UI style application." That's about all I can find so far, which isn't much
Hi, is there is any way to configure "My Computer" in Directories section of Configuration dialog. I'd like to browse any location: network, drives and so on from Video, Photos and other libraries. Thanks.
So, I have been out of it for quite a while due to lack of time and the "recent" transition to digital cable and the set top box with Comcast. I see there are some movies coming on in the next few weeks I want to record, so I fired up the dusty old GBPVR machine.
I had run an old version of the software for seriously a couple of years, so I decided to update to the latest release. I think everything went alright, but I don't see an icon for GBPVR, just PVR2. Is that normal? If not, should I uninstall and resinstall?
Next question: I have a set top box from Comcast on the main TV. I would like to take the line coming out of the set top box and split it between my TV directly and the tuner. This way, I can run GBPVR and still have the normal functionality of the set top box (On Demand, etc.). Will this work? I currently have two PVR-150 cards installed on the machine. Since I have never changed anything since the transition to digital cable, what do I have to set in the config to get it to recognize the channels?
Just wondering can anyone comment on whether an MCE USB beanbag will support a Hauppauge 45 button non-MCE remote. I plan to use EventGhost.
Doing an upgrade and looking to get rid of Hauppauge PCI cards and go full USB, but I'm so used to the 45-button remote (and have so many of them) that I'm reluctant to switch to MCE remotes.
seems i can't record analog channels recently...but i can watch them....?
livetv works fine for same show, but any i try to record comes back with error on length..
any ideas?

Hi I've always had problems getting the auto conversion to work, I also am stuck on 1.37 because one of my ATSC tuners (inDTube) won't tune properly with the new tuning assistant to certain channels (audio but black in video etc.) I have been using the MCE buddy to convert my shows, well at least older ones, but what I would like to do is manually change in the database the dvr-ms ending to avi so I can keep the descriptions etc . in recordings. however as of right now every time I start gbpvr I lose the descriptions and well I am incapable of preventing that and still save space. Could I get some hints on how to manually update the recordings (same name just avi) I'd have to temporary copy the files and then delete both dvr-ms files but I could live with that.
plz help
