I moved GBPVR to a new Windows 7 PC and the Main Menu is not displaying the correct list of enabled plug-ins.
The Plug-Ins check marked in CONFIG are not the ones showing in my Main Menu. Instead, I am getting values from an old version of the Main Menu I had before moving to a new PC. I copied the recordings directories to the new PC and I exported the recordings from within CONFIG on the old machine and imported the xml file to CONFIG on the new PC.
The Plug-Ins tab in CONFIG shows just 3 plugins checkmarked. This agrees with the MenuLayout in config.xml. The program displays many more plugins though.
Where is GBPVR getting the old settings for the Main Menu from?
I couldnt get GBPVR to work in windows 7 with a ATI 550 tv card, so I switched to a Hauupagge PVR150. It doesnt recognize my card, when I click to only show cards installed it doesnt show it as an option. Any idea why not?
I have the latest drivers installed for it and Windows 7 sees it.
By the way this is GBPVR 1.4.7.. I just now went back to GBPVR 1.3.11 and it seems to find my ATI 550 card, when 1.4.7 thinks it is a 650 card.. any idea why that is?
so far I was useing xmltv from the internet to get my epg, since the dvb-s epg is much better I would love to wake up the PC and let him get some epg date. I have read that it is posible but I can not figure out how.
I just changed my DVB Card from DVB-C to DVB-S. When I started with the DVB-C card I made a new INI for it. Since I get hundreds of Programs over the Dish I would like to make my own list with some ASTRA Channels. I also recieve Hotbird, so it would be great if I could include a Channel form that one also.
I`m using DiSEqC and a mulitplexer (?) for controlling both LNCs I have got.
I downloaded gbpvr 1.4.7 and installed it to my 64 bit Windows 7 OS. When I run GBPVR and click on TV Guide nothing happens. Most of the other buttons the same thing. Does this software not work on windows 7?
I recently purchased four Hauppauge 950Q USB tuners and downloaded GB-PVR. I have never used this software before, so I apologize for my noob questions. I did do a search, and while I came up with several threads that discuss several different guide data options, I couldn't figure out what the current options are and/or recommended approach was. Ideally, I'd like to have free guide data, but it sounds like I may need to pay. I am located in the USA. I see SchedulesDirect mentioned in the Wiki, which I believe requires paying $20/year. Is that the only/easiest/best source to use?
i have a DVB-T usb stick and it doesn't work on windows 7. I'm searching for 2 weeks now for the drivers. Has someone the driver? The name in the devicemanager is CE9500B1

It is beginning to happen quite often to me now - as follows.
Nearly all the problems are when using a client PC (streaming mode).
Trying to cancel an in-progress recording. After confirming the delete, the yes/no screen fades out but does not go altogether and sits there for a minute or two.
Back to the pending screen and it is still showing as recording.
Cancel it and yes, it cancels this time.
Problem is that the first cancel comes up with a database locked error in the recording service log and it restarts recording with a -2 filename. Come to delete it and it only deletes the -2 recording, leaving the first bit orphaned, only able to be deleted with explorer (if you happen to know it is there).
Would there be any value in me running something like filemon on gbpvr.db3 to try to see what is locking and not unlocking the database?
If so, does anyone know if it can be run for maybe days without collapsing?
I don't know how feasible such a request is, because I know gbpvr just hands any video to be played off to DirectShow, but it would be nice if the framerate of the video could be detected (eg, 24, 25, or 30fps), and then the refresh rate of the display changed to match (24p, 50hz, 60hz).
This is already possible with additional software (reclock, powerstrip, etc) but it doesn't work too well, especially if using FSE. You often end up with a black screen if changing the refresh rate after playback has started, if you're even lucky enough for it to detect that it does in fact need to change.
Would would be best (and probably easiest for sub) would be for gbpvr to handle the frame rate detection, then simply hand off to user-configured scripts or executables to perform the refresh rate change (there must be a hundred different ways out there of doing it). As it's gbpvr itself that has asked for the change, it will be able to do whatever reinitialization (or restart of the video) is required to keep the VRM9/FSE display happy.
Personally, I'd keep it simple. Ignoring 23.976/24fps etc technicalities for the moment, the three main rates are 24 (film), 25 (pal), and 30 (ntsc), and if they could be made to work...well...I'd certainly be happy for one :-)
I have noticed some mention of frame rate in the logs from time to time, so hopefully such a feature isn't completely impossible, although I think I've only seen it with live TV rather than with DVDs or AVIs and so on.
