  Windows 7 and GBPVR
Posted by: mila06 - 2009-11-25, 07:11 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

I have build a new rig and installed windows 7 and gbpvr. Most of things are fine but every now and then livetv hiks every 2-3 sec. I see this on both MPEG 2 and MPEG 4(h264). If livetv starts without the hiks, they never come.... If the hiks are there when i starts livetv, i restarts gbpvr and everything is normaly fine. It's not the hardware. All recordings are always fine!

Do you tweak win 7 to get gbpvr deliver it's best ?? (i have seen something about deleting some dll to get win 7 to not controling the codec).

Hello,

I have a KWorld PlusTV 713x that I am trying to configure for GB-PVR. I tried my own file edits, but they didn't work. Can anyone give me the correct file edits to make on the ini? Here is the Graph Log.

Got sound, no picture, Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2200
Posted by: vicarofskeptic - 2009-11-25, 11:18 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Hi,
I’m trying to set up a new PVR system. During the Map digital channels to EPG channels process, many channels are located, however I only get sound, no picture. Thus live TV doesn’t work.

Australian television uses the European DVB-T standard (MPEG2). Logs included. Hope someone can come up with the fix.

Can't configure tuner cuz Taiwan not in list
Posted by: jxd - 2009-11-25, 10:51 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hey everyone, I'm new to GB PVR so bear with me please if I've overseen something ...

I just installed GB PVR (windows 7 ultimate 64 + Videomate Vista E900F) .. I went through the configuration options, and I think the program looks great, robust,..

I can't click on live TV and I think it's because I haven't configured my card yet. When I go to the TuningAssistant, I can choose my card, but my country (Taiwan) is not on the list...

I've tried to select other countries as a work-around, but this ended up with either a blue-screen-of-death or just death-without-blue-screen (and a 10 hour rebuild of my 7TB raid10 collection..)

Before ripping any hairs out... am I just SOL here? Is there a reason why we're not on the list? There is full support for Taiwan on Windows7 MCE so at least I can keep using that, it's just I would love to try out GB PVR and maybe integrate it with xbmc too~

Thanks in advance to anyone and everyone for either answering shrugging or wasting ur time haha

Taskbar visible over gui - Win7
Posted by: bcdudley - 2009-11-25, 09:46 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

New install and about 2 days of messing around with stuff to get this working. I am almost there. One of the last problems I am having is the taskbar will not go away. This is a Windows 7 box.

There are several articles on the internet about the "Always keep taskbar on top" not being in Win7 anymore. Autohide is a really ugly option. All the fixes I found on the internet suggest a code change that is beyond my skill level or comprehension.

Anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Edit: Appearantly this is a Windows 7 bug, and a major one at that. It affects almost all programs including full screen games, full screen videos (even inside Windows media player) and most other apps that run in full screen. Googling "Windows 7 taskbar reserve space", "Windows 7 taskbar always on top", "Windows 7 applications under taskbar" and "Windows 7 taskbar on top of video" will show more results. I guess we will have to wait for Microsoft to fix this one by adding code back in for the taskbar to properly reserve the correct amount of space and for MS to add back in the feature to "Always keep on top" . This one is almost enough to make me want to go back to XP or Vista. Microsoft devs claim this feature is by design? I will just have to use the autohide for now.

Edit 2: After playing around with this some more, I have found that GBPVR seems to be triggering this bug. Once I close out of GBPVR, I can check and uncheck the Autohide button with an apply in between and the applications no longer appear behind the taskbar. As soon as I open gbpvr, the bug is back. I was also able to reproduce this on another computer that I have setup as a client. I will keep playing around with this some, maybe something with the renderer.

Edit 3: This is definitely related to the PVRX2 Renderer. If I have it set to EVR, the bug is present. If I change it to VMR9 Fullscreen, the bug is gone and I no longer see the taskbar. I will leave it on VMR9 Fullscreen for now. Anyone else seeing this behavior?

  XRecord - Watched too much?
Posted by: isgdre - 2009-11-25, 05:25 AM - Forum: XSuite (Xrecord, XSearch, XGuide, CDK Scheduler) - Replies (3)

Hi All.

I've used XRecord for quite some time now and my "Watched" list is getting very long. Would it be possible to group it some how?

Maybe First letter of shows first? or a serch text to start with?

Yes, I know it's already groped by show. But there are lots in there. Takes for ever to scrool down.

Or maybe pressing the letter to start with so it will jump there?

  Followed install instructions- No go
Posted by: zaldwaik - 2009-11-25, 02:19 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (47)

I followed the installation guide, I am using latest GBPVR and latest MVPMCX2, I also have the latest PCH firmware. The only difference I made is I used f:\ for the share instead of C:.

I am able to open the html page, however, choosing gb-pvr through network browser produces "request cannot be processed", choosing GB-PVR, gives me blank screen, then return to home page. My TV Output is set to 1080p in audio/video settings.

PCH works fine with other shares on the same system without a problem.

Your help is appreciated, I have attached the only log I found.

  Transcode w/ Comskip?

Is there a plugin that will transcode a file, but also use the comskip so that the resulting avi, etc would have the comercials edited out?

  Play next recording possible?
Posted by: merc82 - 2009-11-24, 05:40 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I record many kids shows. Some of them are only five minutes long so I'd like to have the next recording play without having to do it myself (it's still a bit advanced for the two year old to do himself).

Is it possible to configure GBPVR to automatically play the next recording in a directory after playback of a file completes? I couldn't find anything in the config GUI. Perhaps it's buried in the xml file?
