Very big skin on PCH A110
Posted by: rameijn - 2009-11-07, 06:21 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hello,

I have installed the GBPVR software on my PC by running the NMTInstall.exe installer and I'm able to show some video's from my shares.
On My PCH-A110 I have installed the mvpmcp2 application.

When I start GBPVR on my PCH the (blue) skin is very big. I'll could only see a little part of the screen.

If I however play a movie the screen size is correct.

How and where could I change the size of the skin so I'll could see the hole picture on my screen.

I'm using PAL screen format 16x9.

Many thanks.

  Split net radio stream option?
Posted by: rstewartmailacct - 2009-11-07, 03:13 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi all,

I searched but didn't find anything along these lines. I was wondering there an option somewhere to cause the stream to split into multiple mp3's when the song changes?

Thanks

  Haup HVR1900 - Can't change channels
Posted by: pgbpvr - 2009-11-07, 03:12 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Hi,

For everyone who helped earlier thanks again.

I now have my Hauppage HVR1900, all set, installed, but possibly not well configured Smile

Both in LiveTV and going to the TVGuide, I cant seem to change channels. When I enter PVRX2, I choose for instance LiveTV, and it displays some channel, then I try changing to another channel but it wont "move". The same happens in the TVGuide, when I choose the first one I want to watch, it will display some channel (though not necessarily the one I choose) and if I try to change it wont.

I have configured my HVR1900 as a HVR1950, because mine is not on the list.

Any ideas? thoughts?

I attached all the logs, dont really now which are important.

Thanks for any help.
Pedro.

P.S.: Forgot to mention, in WinTV7 it works, no problem.

  .mpg files will not play
Posted by: steveum - 2009-11-07, 02:31 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (22)

I recently upgraded my computer from Vista to Windows 7. I was using the SAF codec pack, but I uninstalled it prior to doing the upgrade. After the upgrade, I set my video and H.264 decoder both to use the built in Windows decoder (Microsoft DTV-DVD video decoder).

All my TS recordings (mpeg2 and H.264) play fine, but the analog .mpg recordings no longer play. Looking at the graph in GraphStudio shows all boxes as disconnected.

My guess is that I am missing the filter that splits the MPG container stream. It was probably deregistered or uninstalled by my recent changes. What filter normally handles the splitting of MPG files? How would I get this installed again?

  MVPMC or MVPMCX2 on Ubuntu
Posted by: fhmanas - 2009-11-07, 02:30 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (6)

Is this possible, so I can use an Ubuntu box and run mvpmc and do an emulation of the GBPVR similar to what an MVP does well. With an Ubuntu box, I can have an "MVP" and a full PC as a client.

I don't want to shell out for a license of Win just for this purpose.

Thanks.

  Prime problem
Posted by: Tonto - 2009-11-07, 04:51 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (14)

Hi all, firstly great programe, just installed it on my new HTPC all works great had to install SAFv400 beta tho to get sound,I got sick of avermedia centre as I'm using a avermedia trinity tv card on it's DVB-t tuner.
Anyway got a few questions I'm sure have been answered in here somewhere but I haven't found any with hours of searching.

Firstly got all channels execpt prime, is there a way to find this channel?

Epg, I've selected epg over DVB-t but only get a couple of programmes worth of the guide. Do I have to use the external programe to get the whole guide?

When watching live TV how do i get full screen and loose the windows toolbar at the bottom of screen?

If anyone can help with these problems it would be really aprecated, Iam very new to this HTPC world!

Mencoder with multiple TS audio streams
Posted by: lanmat - 2009-11-07, 04:41 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (2)

I've been playing with using mencoder to do the double whammy of excising commercials (with aid of comskip) and to transcode to mpeg4 so my 1.5TB hdd isn't full after a month of HD recording. I think I've finally got a recipe that results in acceptable quality in a file small enough to stream over wireless to my laptop (and using a video codec that doesn't push my cpu usage through the roof, <cough!>x264<cough!>). Mencoder code at bottom of post...comments welcome, hopefully with an answer to my main question:

On almost all programs recorded from my HDHomerun, there are 2 audio streams (I can see them with media player classic under the filters submenu). The second stream is sometimes another language like spanish, but sometimes it's in english and includes a drab narration voice-over. I assume since it pops up as english, it gets included in my transcoded .avi's. I figured out I can use -aid to select the 'non-narration' audio stream, but the actual audio ID changes from program to program. -aid 84 might work for one program to isolate the correct stream, but another requires -aid 52.

Anyone know of a better way to use ONLY the first audio stream or to figure out how to determine which aid is the main audio channel w/o the "extras"?

  Schedules Direct w/ two tuners
Posted by: noise_maker - 2009-11-07, 01:31 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I have two tuners a Hauppauge WinTv usb pvr2 and a Diamond XTREMETV_PVR_600. I can make either tuner work w/ Schedules Direct but not both. I want to be able to watch TV on one and record on the other.

It will let me set it up both tuners and import the EPG. It seems fine when exiting config but it won't let me record and watch TV at the same time. I just get a blank screen. If I delete the 2nd tuner(I can do this with either tuner) and re-launch Gbpvr the guide has my channels but is blank. If I go back in and re-set up Schedules Direct I can make that card work. But every time I add the 2nd tuner it looses its mind.

My process for adding the is going into config
adding the device.
picking the tuner
selecting Schedules Direct for the epg and setting it up with my login
updating the EPG so the channels all show up and OKing out of config

I have been using GBPRV for about 2 years now but am recently adding a tuner. I have never gone to far out of the box in setting it up so I apologize if I am missing somthing easy. I have updated to the newest version of GBPVR but the problem prevails.

When using two tuners do I need to do something different to get it work work properly with Schedules Direct. in playing around trying different orders of added and the tuners it seems it is tripping up on using the same data for both tuners and maybe if I can differentiate it somehow it would work.

Any help would be appreciated

  Getting the order right
Posted by: liteswap - 2009-11-07, 12:58 AM - Forum: Slimm GB-PVR and GBPVRcli - Replies (1)

I use the following command line to get a list of the last recordings. I want to order it by date. I've looked at the msdn help section and I can't seem to relate the database-related examples for the syntax of 'orderby' to this situation. Can you help please with syntax for the orderby switch? Thanks.

Code:
gbpvrcli /r 2 /message "{Title}\n{SmartDate}"
