  A-100 Not Responsive to Remote
Posted by: ww4397 - 2009-10-28, 08:41 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (2)

The only function that works is STOP... and, sometimes, PAUSE, but not always.

I can't REWIND, FF, SKIP. When I resume a show it always starts at the beginning, there is no prompt to Resume/Restart. Also, my shows all have Comskip files associated with them, but no commercials are ever skipped.

Basically, navigation is not working. I have PLAY and STOP.

Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated. I must be missing something fundamental.

Thanks.

anyone using a netbook in nz? any recommendations? im thinking about getting one and would like
- ssd drive
- 5+ hours battery life
- 3g (take a sim card for vodafone)
- 802.11n (must, i want to get remove b/g from my router, i know i can just get a second router for them but dont want to)
- be light
- small but good keyboard
- not that expensive

i was thinking about the dell mini 9 just because you can easily turn it into a hackintosh (not that i want to now, but might in the future) but that doesnt meet all those requirements

  MVP can't find Videos location
Posted by: larry A - 2009-10-28, 05:07 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (1)

I was running out of space on my hard drive so I recently purchased a second one. Due to space constraints on my GBPVR server, I installed it in a different computer on my network, not really sure if it would work. My GBPVR server computer finds the files fine and a GBPVR client machine does also, but they do not appear on the TV using the MVP. Isthis something that the MVP can't handle or have I done something wrong in my configuration?

HDHomerun + Phoenix Card Reader + Telstraclear digital => will this work?
Posted by: snuffles - 2009-10-28, 06:45 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (16)

I have a HDHomerun and I notice that it not only does DVB-T (Freeview in NZ), but also DVB-C and I am thinking about using this to replace my TelstraClear digital decoder box.

I have used it to scan the DVB-C signals and it finds them all, noting that they are encrypted.

I also have a serial phoenix smartcard reader.

Has anyone got this combination working (how? what other software was required ?), or a people using PCI DVB-C cards?

Snuffles.

  UK Freeview DVB-T (Audio #2)
Posted by: JuicyFruits - 2009-10-27, 11:46 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Hi all,
not sure if I have 1 problem or a couple...

I have 2 tuner cards (same model - 90002) with a signal booster/splitter feeding both cards.
I get slightly different flavours picked up in the scans from each card.
I'm using DVB as the EPG and also it seems to pickup the incorrect audio channel for some of the channels (ie it uses the Audio #2 channel).

I also dont seem to get ITV1/ITV2 & +2

Any ideas what can be going wrong here ? As I said I think I may have a couple of problems...

I really like your plugin a lot. I have one more request. Can you add video inset so live tv is displayed in the lower left corner when using the plugin?

  Dual USB tvstick
Posted by: spencer - 2009-10-27, 10:50 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Just purchased USB "Dual Tuner DVB + FM Radio TV Stick" from tvstick.co.uk which is not listed in the gbpvr digital source config, but does work but very unstable using the AF9015BDA setting. (Program keeps freezing) Any chance of the proper drivers for the stick being added to the gbpvr program because I cannot believe how good the gbpvr is. thank you

HVR-3000 with DVB-S in New Zealand,
Posted by: pieterj - 2009-10-27, 10:48 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

Ive been using beyond TV for a long time for analog tuning but now im looking at DVB-S. Before taking the plunge to buy the cards im curious about the following and would appreciate any help/advice that anyone may have.

Will GBPVR work with the HVR-3000 without any special tweaks?
Does it support dual channel recording?
Does GBPVR support the Satelie EPG or will I need to use a XML TV Guide?

thanks for you help and advice

"Request cannot be processed" error after changing resolution on PCH
Posted by: tjb - 2009-10-27, 03:48 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (12)

I just recently purchased a 2nd PCH (refurbished) and new TV. In order to move the original PCH to the new TV, I changed the video resolution to auto so I could get an initial connection. Then I decided not to move the PCH, so I changed it back to the original resolution. Since then I cannot start mvpmcx2 and I get an immediate "Request cannot be processed" error. I should note that the PCH has a hard drive and mvpmcx2 was installed via CSI, and is started via the Web Service. I also tried to recreate the share and start it that way, but I get the same error. I have attached the logs in hope this might help.

All I really did was change the PCH resolution from 720p HDMI to auto, then tried to run GB-PVR, then changed it back to 720p.

Tuning INI files for UK after digital switchover
Posted by: Graham - 2009-10-27, 02:25 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

The attached spreadsheet generates .INI files for the BDA\DVB-T folder. A generated file will contain the channel and frequency (mux) information for a UK transmitter after it switches to digital only.

The sheet relies on data from www.ukfree.tv (thank you to Brian). The channels/muxes available on a transmitter may change in future.
