Live TV on channel 'one' lacks video, but audio comes through fine. Pausing and unpausing it fixes the problem (gets it into timeshifting mode).
All other channels work fine with the live tv function.
This happened before and after the saf codec pack was installed.

WinTV7 is using "code set 85" for the IRBlaster, and is working fine, but I am not sure what GBPVR's config is up to.
I have this working fine for WinTV and the DCT700, channel changing on WinTV uses the set top box and the IR-blaster just fine.
GVPBR is configured to use the IR-blaster in the setup for the 1600, but changing channels (arrow key) just changes the tuner up and down, not sending a IRblaster signal to the STB.
How do I determine where the issue is? This was a clean setup of the 1600, and I deleted the old setup for my 350 out before creating one for the new Hauppauge card.
Other report this working. This is the latest GBPVR release.
History:
I configured one digital capture source (FloppyDTV) and scanned for the channels. It found almost all channels which can be seen in the preview window. Besides the few channels that weren't found not problems so far.
I updated the EPG and mapped/enabled the channels.
Btw I live in the Netherlands and have the standard Ziggo digital cable TV package (Brabant/Limburg region). This means that all (except one or two) channels are encrypted.
Problem:
I start GBPVR and go to the TV Guide. When I select an encrypted channel (e.g. channel 5) to watch I get a picture and sound. But when I the try to change the channel by pressing the up or down arrow on my keyboard the picture goes black. I press escape and go back to the TV Guide. When I now select the adjacent channel (e.g. channel 6) to watch I get a picture and sound. So it seems like something is going wrong when changing channels.
During last week I have tried changing codecs, renderers, splitters, muxers which changed the end result from poor picture to no picture, to no sound or to no response (no channel OSD). I ran GraphStudio and looked at the Lastgraph.grf file. Checked the broadcasts in DVBViewer. Read through numerous posts. Anything I could get my hands on. But I can't get this issue to go away.
Btw switching to a non-encrypted channels is no problem.
When I select the VMR9 custom renderer I always get the message "This channel is currently encrypted" when changing to an encrypted channel.
The best result so far is with EVR, MPC-decoder (Gabest), TS Mux and FFDShow for audio. With this combination it seems to work sometimes. I haven't been able to purposely reproduce the issue so can't put my finger on it.
Can someone please help me to get this fixed. I've done so many things during the past week that I have lost my way and have no clue on how to proceed next. Perhaps its best to start at the beginning again and try to figure it out together with one of you guys. Is anybody willing to go through this with me?
Analog recording with my 1600 recently started looking bad - wavy lines in the top half, like fine tuning is bad. Digital recordings are fine.
I tried removing then adding back into GBPVR and tried the latest drivers from Hauppauge. The card shares the analog video feed with an old 250 (still works fine).
Anything within GBPVR or the registry I can try to get a usable analog recording from the 1600? Surely Comcast would not reduce my signal strength without telling me!

OK the problem is that when I start pvrx2 I get an error reporting window in front of the program if I send, don't send, or close the reporting window pvrx2 closes. If I just move the error window to the side pvrx2 works fine. the error reporting service is disabled on my fresh install of xpmce and it all worked fine before with the exact same hardware and software. I'm stumped. Oh I almost forgot I had a few errors when installing so I uninstalled and redownloaded the newest ver. of gbpvr. It was the same that I had just wanted to be sure something wasn't messed up in the installer. I hate to have to use media center HEEELLLPPPP!!
I have atatched the log will keep messing with it. If I figure it out I'll let y'all know what the prob was.
Just got it. It was the remote control setting had the wrong one listed.
I'll leave this here to save someone some time in the future should they have the same issue.
I have 2 big problems and no idea how to fix them.
1. Configurations not loading when PVRX2 executed from start menu or pinned task bar.
Install shows no errors.
Configuration utility works as expected.
When launching from dock icon all settings load as expected.
When launching from any place else it is default settings which means no input devices set up.
2. (Probably related) I can't get the web server to start up for anything. It shows as enabled and the port is correct but I get "Unable to Connect" when going to http://127.0.0.1:7647/gbpvr/guide.aspx.
The strange one all of this was working on my setup in Win7 RC.
I've reinstalled about 6 times no change. I did install the C++ redistributal first. I'm wondering if it is a funky windows security issue. I had done a settings and file transfer so maybe an old registry entry. I'm just really out of ideas.

Using Microsoft security essentials for AV
1) Received my PCH and got everything hooked up (no HDD, no flash drive, HDMI port 1).
2) Updated PCH firmware to 01-17-080612-15-pop-402-000
3) I already run GBPVR on a PC so I just installed the PCH option.
4) Set up default share (1. smb://MONEYSUCKER/mvpmc)
5) Set Video Output to 1080p 60 hz (TV: Sony Bravia KDL-40V5100)
6) Browsed to network location on NMT and opened the html doc. Tried GBPVR and GBPVR via Network Browser - Request cannot be processed.
7) Ensured simple file share was enabled (it was).
8) Tested to see if I could browse to http://192.168.1.140:8883/network_share.html. I could and 1. smb://MONEYSUCKER/mvpmc was listed.
I'm at a loss whats wrong seeming everything has been upgraded, GBPVR is installed and working, PCH can see the HTML and open it, I can browse to the PCH, I used all default install setting. Any suggestions on where to go from here?

One thing I can't figure out - how do I search for titles that have a hyphen in them? (eg X-Files, Stargate SG-1, etc)
Looks like the hyphen is stripped out as a separator, but then I don't get any hits back from TVDB.
I'm running an HVR-2250 and an HVR-1600 recording to a 750GB SATA hard disk on an AMD Phenom based motherboard, and I occassionally get choppiness during some parts of HD recordings. I'm guessing that the system was taxed during the recording process, perhaps the hard disk was working hard at something else and was unavailable to record, but whatever the cause it's really annoying! Rewinding the recording and playing again will exhibit the same choppiness, it's in the recording.
Anyone else experience this behavior and if so, is there a remedy? Perhaps placing the recording service at a higher priority?
Just thought I would mention, on analog recordings the skip forward and back buttons work as set in the config program (30 seconds forward, 7 seconds back). However, with any digital recording, skip forward will skip about a minute, while skip back will actually skip forward about 20 seconds.
Not sure why this is, and I am pretty sure it is a new phenomenon.
I am not too worried about the issue, but thought I would bring it up in case it was a known problem and someone knew the fix.
