There is new driver for Windows 7 for this. As this will need to be BDA and probably more reliable than the current one, I am giving it a go in windows XP. It seems to work better than the previous one. Maybe others would like to have a go?
I need to stop:
Zero byte recordings, "no signal" issues, blank screen on some channels.
So far, all may channels that were blank have come back, but I have still had a "no signal" issue. Sounds quite promising, anyway!
I'm new to GB-PVR and am having trouble with my initial installation. I have searched the archives and can not find anything like what I am experiencing so I hope that someone has a clue.
I am installing on a newish dual core Windows Vista Ultimate 64 system with a Hauppauge 2250 card. I have run Windows Media Center on the system so I know that all the hardware works. The problem that I have is that the Audio will play for about 20 seconds after I start viewing live TV. After the 20 seconds, I just get silence. The picture continues perfectly but without sound. If I quit and restart the application the sound will play for another 20 seconds. I also get this same 20 seconds of audio in the Config application when mapping channels.
I have checked the logs and find no errors. I have made sure that the Windows Media Center services are all stopped and disabled. I have tried all included codecs.
No matter what I do, I always get the same 20 seconds of sound. What should I try?
Title says it all...except I'm not suggesting we sell Sub...just that we have a sub-forum, I should have hyphanated the title really. I know the old argument that we gbpvr'ers are on the four corners of the globe but I'm willing to ship anywhere for a fellow.
Does anyone use a ps3 to watch "ts" files over their network ?
does it work?
are there any tweaks or pitfalls ?
thinking of buying one instead of another pc
then i get a bluray player a game console and since i dont really need to have a full pvr for where I want to use it.
I was wondering if it would do what i want
also hoping i wouldnt have to shage around with codecs etc as its for my projector and you really notice it when its wrong
I'm not sure whether this section or EWA plug-in is more appropriate for this question, but I will give it a try first.
1. When streaming is initiated from EWA web interface, VLC process is launched. All is well, but when stream is stopped, it seems that VLC is getting completely shutdown, including any other VLC instance that was open at the same time. Could this be modified so that only the instance which is actually streaming the content is being closed?
2. H.264 settings - any chance to give us more control over main parameters, like video and audio bitrate, frame rates or resolution? Presets like 256k, 512k, LAN, etc are OK but would that be any more trouble to give us an option to manually set those values?
For example, I noticed that when transcoding HDTV to e.g. 460x320 preset resolution (or manually), VLC is keeping framerate at 60fps, which is not quite desired. In that case I would like to be able to set framerate at e.g. 30fps but as far as I can see, there's no place to do it.
Is there any settings file that I can modify to get this to work perhaps?
just thought I'd post a wishlist for possibly separate ques based off of file types.
Maybe a setting in config.xml to enable something like that so power users can enable it if there machine can handle it?
I noticed my mpg conversions wait for a .ts conversion to complete.
I guess everything is added to one que and the .ts files hover around 10 - 15 fps converts and my mpg converts are at 50fps and I think my dual core can handle one mpg and one .ts convert at the same time.
I know there are numerous drop boxes in the processing tab for file types so I guess I thought they would have been sep ques.
